This was my first time visiting Carrabba's... despite some of the reviews, I enjoyed my time here. The service was great, quick and efficient. My server Kaleb was really great and informative, although a really busy day for a Wednesday he was on point. On to the food -- I ordered the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer to start which were crispy, well seasoned & definitely HOT (cheese PULLLL) lol Next the classic trio because I wanted to try their chicken parm and their Alfredo. Both were really good, I would say the Alfredo lacked a little bit of sauce but that's just personal preference. My meal came with a side, I chose the chicken soup.. it was GOOD but very heavy seasoning which made it somewhat spicy, so I did not finish it. ( Kaleb did try to offer me something else which I appreciated however I passed on the offer.) I tried the Caesar salad and that was good and fresh. Almost forgot to mention the warm bread for the table was sooooo good! Lol ( I know you're thinking it's just bread?) but it was freshly baked, and the olive oil with seasoning was a perfect touch. Hosted a party with Carrabba's Catering menu. We ordered a week in advance and requested delivery. Delivery was right on time and the order was complete. The packaging allowed for placing the entries in the oven on warm until we were ready to serve. The portions were as advertised and we had plenty for our group. All were pleased with the quality. Decided on Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner after a long day of soccer with a few of the parents and kids. We waited about 30-45 minutes for a group of 10. They had a nice seating area outside and the weather was pleasant so we waited outside and indulged in some drinks while the kids played. I had the Skinny Margherita and not sure if this is how it was suppose to taste like but it was super sour. I rolled up my sleeve and took on the challenge to finish it. My wife had a glass of Pinot Grigio which came topped with a small dish of ham, cheese and bread over the glass. It was a nice bite that my wife enjoyed. Service once seated was quick and friendly. I ordered the Linguine Positano with Shrimp. It was a good sized portion of pasta but tastewise it was OK. Shrimp were seasoned nicely. My wife had Lobster Ravioli and it was also ok. The filling tasted a little off in my opinion. But she liked it. Overall it was a good spot to host our hungry and somewhat rowdy kids and also a place everyone felt comfortable ordering. read more

I use to be a fan of Carrabba's, unfortunately not so much anymore. We visited this location in Winter Haven, FL. Walked into this place, we were greeted immediately and seated. It was about 10 minutes before someone acknowledged we were waiting for a waiter/waitress. We notice like 6 waiters/waitresses standing around the kitchen and chatting. They were having loud conversations that we could hear. After we were given our drinks and appetizers everything went smoothly. When the food came out, the portions were nice in size, a little more than what i remember. I don't remember Carrabba's being like this, there use to be music and good customer service. I love Carrabbas! I haven't ever had poor service and the food is delicious! I absolutely love the simple Pomodoro sauce. It tastes like the best vine ripened tomatoes blended with a few simple ingredients to enhance anything it adorns. I particularly love the chicken entree's and the pasta dishes. We are regulars and our experience is always a positive one. I'll end with this, on the rare occasion there ever is a problem, it's always handled with courtesy and consideration. Normally we get takeout but tonight we dined at the restaurant. We arrived slightly before 6 which qualified us for happy hour (9 oz wine instead of 6 oz). No one greeted us at the hostess station although two young women were working/standing there. After about two minutes I asked if we needed to put our names on a list (dining room was half empty) and they finally sprang into action. Our server Sean was great. Attentive and efficient. The dining room is noisy. Since it was just us two, I wish we had asked for high top or counter seating next to the open kitchen for the free entertainment (next time). The house salad is good but overdressed with the Parmesan dressing. Bread and oil/herbs delicious. I had chicken Marsala and he had a winter special Pasta Georgio. The address is 700 E 3rd St. Pricier than Olive Garden but with an equally diverse and slightly higher end menu. They opened with a bang as an upscale Italian grill. And although one might argue that they are over-Americanized, what exactly qualifies as an Itialian grill anyway? Better than average food all around welcomes you with a very cozy and informal atmosphere. Directly comparing it to OG, you are not pressured to buy a wine you've never tried and it's great for groups. And we found it was just as easy to get the check as it was to sit down. If you make it for happy hour, two-for-one is a nice surprise when the Sangria is this good. They also have a tasty selection of signature martinis, especially the pomegranite. Prior to the entrees, you could fill yourself up on bread alone as it is fresh and comes complimentary with seasoned olive oil. The chicken parm is juicy with a well-seasoned sauce. The spaghetti with meatballs is hearty. The Pork Cutlet Marsala is excellent albeit a ridiculously enormous portion. The Chicken Bryan is beautifully presented with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. The only disappointment was the bruscetta which was too dry. Perhaps the main detraction, if one can call it that, is that the portions are so huge, if you are going anywhere afterwards you must make sure you have some place to keep your very large doggie box safe. read more

Upon our servers return to our table with my debit card and the charge slip she said, with a smirk, "I've never seen that before" as she used her pen to point at my proximately displayed checking account balance. This infuriated me as it was done without my permission or authorization and, I did not request for this information to be shared or displayed and, was not aware that Carrabba's had the ability to access the balance in my checking account. Also, it was to send me a message that I can afford to tip her well. Contacted my attorney who immediately fired off a letter to Carrabba's, Winter Haven and, to Bloomin' Brands, Inc to respond within 20 days. They never responded. Point being, if you plan on paying for your meal with a debit card at this Carrabba's, kindly ask your server if they plan on displaying your checking account balance on the bill. While tyhe pasta was ok , it wasnt a $22 meal , felt ripped off , and yes i told the waitress!. Wonderful as always. This is our go-to place in Winter Haven. The staff is so friendly and personable. There were four of us this time and we had the crab-topped salmon, shrimp parmesan, spedino dimare and pepperoni pizza. The salmon is actually a specialty item and is flavorful and unique. Our appetizer was the zuchini fries. I highly recommend that item as a starter, although you can't go wrong with the calamari. I also recommend the "interesting red" wine "Apothic". Two trips one month apart found the staff extremely friendly and attentive. We were seated right away both times. First visit there were six of us, second visit was a party of two. I would have given this place 5 stars except at both visits those of us who ordered salad found our greens dripping in salad dressing. Three of us were not able to finish our Cesar salad the first visit and same for me the second visit. I almost asked for more lettuce. The dressing was dripping off my fork as I was bringing it to my mouth. Cut back on the amount used and if others enjoy more, they can ask for more on the side. Yes, this is a chain restaurant but it's really much more than that. Friendly staff, consistently good food, large portions, and just as important, the food always comes out hot. Even the kids pick Carrabba's for dinner. I always get some sort of seafood dish like the Pescatore (linguini with a spicy marinara sauce and scallops, shrimp and mussels) or the Mahi Wulfe (breaded, topped with lemon butter, basil, sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts) and my husband always gets the chicken trio (chicken Marsala, Rosa Maria and chicken Bryan). Only minor thing is their chicken soup doesn't always have chicken in it still tastes good, and I know if my husband would ever say something to our server, they would get him a fresh cup, but he doesn't so that's why they still get 5 stars. read more
