Good food! My boyfriend and I got the detroit style pizza and was surprised at the small portion. Frankly, even though the portion size was a bit on the smaller end, I felt it was enough, not him though and it is kind of pricey for the portion size. After, we got a gelato cake and it was SOOO GOOD! We also sampled a couple gelato and they were delicious! Recommend that everyone try a slice of gelato cake! Will definitely be back to try the different flavors of gelato cake! read more

I tagged along with my bf to a work trip to Evansville, and out of all of the chain restaurants in the area, I was pleasantly surprised to find Pangea Kitchen via Yelp. The place is super cute inside, and their Italian/Thai fusion did not disappoint. We ordered one of their Neopolitan 4-cheese pizzas and it was soooo good. Super authentic tasting and wasn't overkill on the cheeses. Light enough that one person could finish the whole thing. We finished it off with a slice of one of their gelato cakes. Pangea has the best variety of food offered in Evansville. It's a refreshing change in a sea of chain restaurants and fried food. I applaud Pangea for playing a leading role in the developing food scene of Evansville. My go to dishes are the Kao Soi, the kale and arugula salad (all their greens are locally grown in hydroponic farms) and the Italian sandwich. I don't have anything bad to say. We eat here 1-2 times a week, so it's one of our local favorites! read more

I invited friends out to Pangea since it was new and hot at the time. We enjoyed ourselves. My wife and I split spring rolls, margarita pizza and espresso gelato. I began my meal with the gelato which was very tasty. My friends ordered the meatball and spring rolls as well. The green sauce on the spring rolls was a surprise kick. read more

When I initially heard this place sold pizza & Thai food I was a bit thrown off. I came on a Saturday night and the place was PACKED! It's self seating, so you need to stalk tables and be able to claim it as soon as the previous guests are done eating. We were able to snag 2 small round tables for our group of 9. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number stand to display on your table so the servers know where you are sitting. I never had Detroit style pizza and was very pleased I was able to experience the phenomenon. It tasted even better with Mike's Hot Honey drizzled all over it! The drunken noodles were also very good. The noodles they served were handmade and you could definitely taste the difference. Although it was not the traditional style of drunken noodles I am accustomed to, I really enjoyed the creativity and the flavors of this version, especially the twisty noodles. I also got an order of Brussels sprouts and they came in a huge bowl. I love Brussels sprouts and was totally ecstatic about the generous portion. They have a bar on the other side where you could order cocktails and other alcoholic beverages and bring them over to your table. The owner of this restaurant is very personable and does many table visits and genuinely cares about the products that he serves. Not just the best restaurant I've eaten at in Evansville, but one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. We got the giant meatball-incredible red sauce, Burrata Toast, the pistachio pizza-incredibly creamy tasting-not a strong pistachio taste. Tasteless! Needed sea-salt, pepper and a crap load more curry. Ended up using red pepper flakes. I was happy at the tenderness of the pork though! I'm x Air Force and have had the privilege of countless Vietnamese,Thai and Korean meals. Will not be back for Asian food. read more

I would say it is a mid-upper scale restaurant with a good mix of causal and fine dinning environment to it. Me and few friends went for dinner about an hour before they close down, so there wasn't a crazy amount of people there. They have a menu with moderate number of choices you can choose, mainly focusing on pizza, pasta, and Thai noodles. I had a Italian Mariana pizza which was $9. I never have this kind of pizza and I don't really know if it is considered good or not. But in my opinion, it is a little tasteless may be because I am more a spice person. My friends had the deeper dish pizza which has tons of cheese in it. I would recommend you to try their gelato or desserts. read more

Great place to get a variety of foods - they are all good. Detroiter thick pizza is a favorite. The charcuterie tray is a great for sharing. Hillary and Drew will take great care of you on the bar/dinning side. Also like the Koa Soy with pork - you add your own heat to your taste. This place was great, my lunch partner and I split two Neapolitan pizzas, a Pistachio and a Knuckle Ball. Both were excellent; frankly, I'm going to have to hunt down some Mike's Hot Honey to drizzle on the pizza I make at home. A+ I didn't care for the fountain soda they had at all; I tried several and I thought they all tasted very bland like colored water. However, this was very minor compared to how amazing the pies were. My only real complaint is that it's so good that you'll overeat. read more

We stopped in for a light lunch over the Christmas season. The space is hip but casual. Seating is limited, so if you're going with a larger group be ready to wait for a table. You order with the cashier, find a table, and then they deliver your food to you. We ordered the Thai drunken noodles, pear and walnut salad, and Cafona Neapolitan pizza. The noodles were the table favorite. Full of flavor and not too salty. The pear salad was sweet and sour with it's dressing. Absolutely delicious. The pizza was just okay. It seemed to have a little too much oil on it, making the crust flimsy and the toppings fall off. Wasn't able to check out the desserts this visit, but as I walked by I got a nice glimpse of a delicious looking cannoli! It was good, but not my favorite. read more

Incredible. Very cool simple decor, amazing food and the burratta was made by the cheese-butter gods! This place is simply amazing. The food quality and service is their specialty. My wife and I were in town for business from California and we yelped for help to find a place to eat. The 4.5 didn't hurt to help us make the decision. Before leaving the hotel we asked the front desk about Pangea and they said it's the best! I love pizza and my wife likes Asian food so this was looking good from the get go.. When we got there we met Cory and he was very friendly and gave us a good vibe from the start. We decided to eat at full service side and then we met Hillary the bartende.. What an experience. She made some really good drinks and service was perfect! Food - Great! We mingled with guests and couldn't not have had a better dinner and evening. The concept is one of the best I have seen in the country. Kudos to the Owner Robby and his incredible staff. I loved this place! As previously mentioned, it felt like a small version of Eataly. We ordered a couple of the brick oven thin crusts pizzas which were delicious. It was nice to grab a glass of wine while the kids devoured their pizza. There is also a small area to sit outside, although, the view is not so great since the highway is close by. We got the one with pineapple and ham- you couldn't really taste either. Mostly you tasted the sauce and the chili- still great. We didn't realize there is a full service restaurant connected. I was excited to finally give this place a try after reading all the great reviews. I wanted to try the shrimp and dumplings but they were out of dumplings so I opted for the burrata toast and Italian sandwich that I split with my daughter. Pangea is a great addition to the list of locally-owned eateries in EVV. My husband and I have been there five times, I think, and we've never had a meal there yet that wasn't delicious. The lemongrass chicken - not always on the menu - is so tasty with its complex flavors. The bahn mi sandwich is also wonderful. Thai drunken noodles might just be my favorite, served with the tenderest pork imaginable and a fabulous garlicky, gingery sauce. Loved the pistachio pizza, too. When Pangea first opened we were concerned that with their ordering set-up getting a table might be difficult during busy times but that has not turned out to be a problem.
