Can I give six stars? I am not a fisherman. I have actually never caught a fish ... until yesterday. Down in Navarre for a holiday, a group of five of us decided to rent a private charter to catch some fish. After calling around, we got a few recommendations to "call Captain Kenny." So we did. He was great. Met us in Pensacola for a 6 hour charter. Went inshore, out shore and near shore. So much fun. Caught my first fish and a lot more. Captain Kenny was a great guide and host also. Gave pointers. Helped us out. Made my first fishing experience an amazing one. We will definitely book him again.

This was the best part of our week long trip in Pensacola!

We brought our 15 and 18 year old and hoped they would enjoy fishing. It was an amazing day and the only time the cell phones were used was to capture memories!! Captain Kenny was more than we expected and hoped for in a tour guide. He was personable and knew the ocean and landscape and hot spots. He kept everyone's attention by giving us historical facts as we drove to the fishing destination. He even told us about the recent storms and how it brought in certain elements....and without giving it away those elements made for a perfect fishing spot!! We had were all catching fish one after another!!! Captain Kenny helped us cast and rebait our hooks so we had the optimal experience and most time catching fish. As we caught the fish he took the time to tell us about each fish and what made them unique (like having human like teeth or aerodynamic notches is their side where fins sat in) and how they tasted. We caught our limit in and even had time to troll and see a dolphin! At the dock Captain Kenny told us funny stories about other fishing trips and his family. We all laughed so hard as he cleaned the fish for us. My 18 year old was so impressed he decided to create a Yelp account so he could endorse Captain Kenny and his business, unfortunately Yelp removed his review because it was his 1st review (Mason B). We are coming back in 2016 and we will come back to Captain Kenny every time! And we also learned he has other guided tours for hunting!!

Captain Kenny will put you on the fish! We were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving and wanted to get some time on the water despite the cooler weather that came through. Kenny was very responsive from the first call and even suggested that we go a day earlier since he was monitoring the weather and the fish reports; our results definitely were proof (pics attached). Kenny was very accommodating, baiting hooks, fixing broken lines, and trying new baits to get us catching fish. The tackle, gear and boat were in great working order and the boat fit the 6 of perfectly. One thing you look for in a guide is someone that knows the water and Kenny certainly is in tune. He is up to date with recent sandbar changes from storms and where the hotspots are both in and off shore. He is easy to talk to, personable, and very knowledgeable about the fish, even taking the time to teach you a thing or two about what they eat, where they go, and pointing out their features. Great learning experience for kids and adults! There are a lot of large fishing fleets out there, but the passion and service you will get from Kenny is second to none. We will definitely be back and recommend him highly!

Great day fishing w Captain Kenny ! He has a great covered boat ready with plenty of cold water, live bait ! Great knowledge of the fish and locations for the best catch, bait type etc. He is great w little kids as well. We have a 4 and 7 year old. Overall a great day fishing with our family ! Would definitely Recommend fishing with captain Kenny of Panhandle Charters and Guide service !

Captian Kenny took us out for only 4 hours today. Over twenty hook ups lost, just too big to handle. Our 5th outing with Captian Kenny.

My brother in law and I went out yesterday, and Captain Nick took great care of us. We were…read moreoriginally scheduled to depart at 4:00 pm, but due to a no show/no call (who does that?!) by a charter scheduled for earlier in the day, we were contacted to see if we wanted to go out earlier. Given the forecast of storms later in the day, we headed toward the marina within minutes. While on the way to the marina, Captain Nick called to make sure we were aware of the less than ideal conditions and to advise us that he'd do everything he could to make sure we got out and caught some fish as long as it was safe to do so. He knew we were making about an hour drive in traffic to get there, so I appreciated him calling to make sure we knew what to expect. We were greeted upon arrival and on our way out shortly thereafter. We had some rough waters with storms hugging the coast and what became a tropical storm the next day rolling in, but Captain Nick made sure we stayed as comfortable and dry as possible on our way out to some fishing spots. We made several stops and had bites just about every time we dropped a line. Captain Nick did a great job of explaining and demonstrating the technique for each type of fish, and he showed great patience with a couple midwesterners accustomed to setting hooks while bass fishing. We lost a number of fish (likely due to midwesterner operator error), but came in with 3 red snapper, 4 Mahi, and a white snapper. We also pulled in several other red snapper and a gag grouper which were put back because they didn't meet size limitations. It seems we didn't catch what other O Sea D charters had as of late, but I attribute that to weather conditions and in no way fault Captain Nick - he knows his stuff and his spots, as we had action nearly all of the time we were fishing. As the wind would push us away from the hot spots we'd pull up our bait, and he'd put us right back on top of the fish. Once the trip ended we headed back to the marina, and Captain Nick set us up for some pictures with our haul then cleaned everything for us to take home and eat. We had a cooler but not enough ice, and Captain Nick was gracious enough to load us back up with ice for the trip home. We had quite the feast that night, (some grilled and some fried) and all of it pulled from the gulf no more than 6 hours before we ate it! Within a couple hours after our charter ended, Captain Jeff (the owner) followed up with me to make sure we had a good time despite the tough conditions. He also sent me a photo Captain Nick had taken of us with our catch. Long story short, these guys are top notch in knowledge and customer service. We will be back for sure, and can't wait to bring others with us next time!

Jeff was super detail oriented and answered all of our questions about fishing on the ride out to his favorite fishing spots. We immediately started catching big red snappers! Aiden went above and beyond his duties making sure everyone on the boat was situated with their fishing pole and bait. Thanks for a great trip, we will definitely be returning for a trip with Captain Jeff! 5 stars!

People walked by with all their catches and everything. We each paid the $2 to walk anyway, and the entire pier is lined with people fishing! We did go during Memorial Day weekend, so I understand this is a busier time, but wow. It made for a smelly walk. Only the area near the shore had space for taking photos, so we were off the pier in like 10 minutes. Going for the sunset seemed great until actually being there, but we did learn from the signs on the pier that they would have a firework show, which we came back for. The firework show was about 5-ish minutes long, but it was great! They go all out at the end, so there's a lot of fireworks going off.

I highly recommend taking a walk. The salty air is super refreshing, and the wind makes it a very pleasant experience. Also, the scenic views are amazing. I have been to the pier several times, and I really enjoyed seeing the different wild life. I have seen jellyfish, herons and even sea turtles. I have never fished there, but I have seen people catch fish. I also have heard the best seasons to catch fish are spring and summer.
