I haven't been here in a while. It was quite busy Mother's Day weekend. They had a live band. It was very loud. Luckily we sat in the patio areas. I should have took more pictures but I ate it all and forgot to take the picture. Surprisingly the chicken kabob wasn't salty it was the perfect marinate along with the lentil soup. Those were my favorites so far. I'll have to come back to try other items on the menu.

It was empty on a Tuesday evening. they have plenty of seating for large parties too and cute holiday decor! Food was pretty good. all very well seasoned, I preferred the chicken over the salmon although both were delicious. They accidentally gave my friend rice instead of fries so they also gave us fries complementary! The waiter was super friendly. Hummus, rice, and salad were pretty standard too.

You need to try the lamb chops here. They are amazing! I've tried the Avgolemono soup and the lentil soup and it is amazing. It always hits the spot. The bartender Felix makes the best drinks. Try the passion fruit martini It is a must! I absolutely love coming to this establishment. No one makes the lamb chops like them. Make sure you get it cooked medium. I highly recommend

Enjoyed dinner here today for the 2nd time this month. Both times the food and the experience was very nice. Today the combo appetizer was perfect. Tasty and filling for two people at $22 . The wine was $6. The domathes were so moist and delicious as was the stuffed falafel. Our server Joey was very cordial and attentive. I will be back again soon. Photos are from today and receipt is from the last visit.

Obet, Manager and the cooks were amazing thank you!

Waiter: Obey thank you for your service and recommendations. Everything was delicious. Cooks: wish I knew their names always go un noticed and they cooked some amazing dinners last night. Will definitely come back. Manager. Very welcoming Ambiance: love all the murals and family tree of photos. We will definitely be back

I had the grilled salmon combo, and as a hungry person right after the gym, it was pretty filling. I also enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance, with a live band, and the professionalism of the servers. I also got to meet the shop owner, and he was such a kind man. The food was also good. The salmon was a good portion and had a great flavor. The rice was also a standout on the plate. Overall, I had a good time at the restaurant.

Another place that has sadly gone down hill... It feels like they just don't care anymore. The tables are all sticky, we had to move tables 3 times before we found one that wasn't dirty. The forks were bent, it gave me old diner vibes FOOD* We got the Lamb Chops dinner platter. The Lamb Chops weren't bad, I'd give them a 6/10. But everything else was like high school cafeteria food. The veggies had to be from a cheap frozen block that was just thawed out and served with no seasoning. Soggy mushy broccoli mixed with other very low quality vegetables. The French fries were soggy/cold and had zero flavor, topped with the cheapest feta cheese I've ever had, which they charge an extra $2 for The salad was wilted, the Pita was cold. I don't even think this place is trying anymore. It's sad, and they still have the audacity to raise the prices while decreasing the quality tremendously. SERVICE* They were nice, but nothing more. Tried to up sell, I don't like that personally, but I'm not mad at them for trying. They never refilled our waters. PARKING* Easy parking, it's at the Lakewood Mall We will never be returning to this establishment

Great Greek Grub! GGG George's Greek Cafe has a reputation to uphold. They lived up to that expectation! :) Most people have heard of George's Greek Cafe. At least you have if you are a fan of Mediterranean food. I am a big fan of Mediterranean food. I love the fresh hummus and perfectly fried falafels. One thing I really enjoy about Mediterranean food is that it is very healthy. You get different foods that are good for you and still taste great! The Greek salads are yummy and healthy. George's Greek Café served up some delicious grub. I loved the feta fries! Those were so tasty. I ordered the stuffed salmon plate, and it did not disappoint. The stuffed salmon was satisfying and my taste buds enjoyed it. That plate is 10/10 and I can see why it is rated highly on Yelp. Thank you to fellow Yelpers for the tip there! The hummus and pita bread were great. The pita was freshly baked, and the hummus had good flavor. The hummus and pita bread deserve that 10/10 rating. I went with my husband, my friend, and her husband, and we all enjoyed the food very much. The ambiance was laid back and pretty quiet. A perfect place to enjoy a meal with some conversation.

Saw a Facebook ad for 1/2 off whiskey drinks on Wednesday. So we came in. Service was great for us, but again we are not in a rush. Ordered the onion rings and dolmathes. The dolmathes were so good. I had the chicken kabobs entire. Wife had the gyro & son had the shrimp pasta. Chicken was well seasoned with fries and rice. Oh the rice was so nice. We all enjoyed our meals with some leftovers for tomorrow. Drinks were good as I had the watermelon margarita, & after two someone else is driving home. Plenty of seating as we are early, and the place was clean. Manager stopped by to check on us. That was nice. We'll be back

Small Greek salad with pita bread and shrimp skewers

We have always had a good meal here, but noticed that they have put a lot of effort into promoting the happy hour/ appetizers experience. We love the traditional Greek appetizers, though they now also offer items like fried cauliflower, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. We were very hungry this evening so ordered the combination appetizer platter to share as well as another dinner item each. They have drink specials, beer and wine but we declined those. The appetizer plate offers a great selection of items, each very different and satisfying. Along with the pita bread and typical hummus and tzatziki dip sauces they had a "tomato soup" which was actually perfect for the calamari! This amount of food was enough to fill the two of us but we each ate a portion of our main dishes as well, and took the rest home for later - small Greek salad with shrimp skewers and Gyro sandwich with Greek salad side. The service was, as always, friendly, helpful and efficient. Our food came out quickly, looked beautiful and was delicious. The restaurant had a fair amount of business. This location is near the Lakewood mall and other restaurants so there is plenty of parking. Their Sunday brunch is back; it was really delectable when we tried it a few years ago; we are looking forward to trying it again! The family no longer runs this location, but has given it over to folks who care and do a stellar job of carrying on the tradition to quality and hospitality. Glad they are still thriving!

    Baklava! Oh so good!

Happy hour at George's Greek! It's Thursday so beer and vodka drinks are 1/2 off all day. Great appetizers for $5 each. I had Gyro Falafel, stuffed grape leaves and Spanakopita. The Hubbie had Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, lamb chops and spinach poppers. i just ordered baklava for desert. we got out of here for less than $50. The service was quick and friendly. We ate in the bar full of locals watching the first football game of the season. nice crowd. very much worth the visit. sorry I don't have pictures this time of all of it. we were HUNGRY!!

Kabobs which I wish were ground beef kabobs .
    Sam H.

Look, I'm not picky but I lived in that part of the world not Greece (visited many times though) So kabob is not the kabob you'd think it's pieces of meats. The bbq veggies are not bbq but boiled Dolmates are ok but leafs are kind of hard If you're a tourist or you don't know what's Mediterranean food is you'd think it's a fine place. And it is, just another eatery but not a Greek restaurant if you crave for Greek food just skip it. Good prices Good servers, clean place. But food 3-4 out of 10 not because it's bad but because it has nothing to do with Greece starting with the Greek salad which lacks the cheese and olive oil.

Honestly thought it was the bar that we came inside. First impression, why did we need reservations.... Since we didn't know the hidden entrance. Well, it's a cool concept once we entered. There's a dress code so be advised. What I found out was the entrance of the speakeasy was through a phone booth that next to the pool table of Roxanne's bar. Once reservations is made, you'll received an email with a password to enter. Enter phone booth and to connect to the inside and they'll open the door for you. We had the first reservations I believe they opened at 7pm. We were the first group to arrive. As it was my first time, we had ordered bar food and were waiting for it inside the main bar. So half an hour was used from our time limit. The speakeasy, dark and moody but perfect for the place. Special crafted cocktails by the bartenders which were great. They also have food as well, found out later. We did try the meat pie, which it was just ok. Basically an empanadas, the pickle veggies accompanied it was my favorite. It was good but nothing major to rave about. The drinks were quite nice and tasty. What they offered on the menu did have a load of good choices. Tables scattered throughout as well as bar seating. There's a piano which maybe used for live music. Overall, the moody speakeasy vibe was great. Friendly staff and bartender made some great drinks. What we had to snack on, the meat pie was just ok. They're very strict with the time limits. Once it's reached they'll let you know.

It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. One thing that made him stand out was, he actually conversed with us rather than just asking if we needed anything and then leaving. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, but Nate's service really made our night special, making us feel right at home.

The decor definitely reminded me of my grandparents' house in Taiwan, with vintage, ornate wooden chairs, dragon/lion statue carvings, and even a historic century old marital bed that had been repurposed into a booth. The drinks were also VERY unique, with my favorite being Hua sheng (literally meaning peanut), which was crafted from a nostalgic childhood peanut milk drink. All our cocktails were crafted very well, to the point where I thought they were a bit on the lighter side since I couldn't really taste the alcohol. This section does get really busy though and only had one bartender who is making/serving drinks and taking orders, so do expect a bit of a wait. Overall, highly recommend checking out this vibey vintage Taiwanese-inspired speakeasy (that my inner history nerd was so excited about), and I'll definitely be back to try their food items as well as their two other bar/restaurant concepts!

It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
