Amazing!! Just tried the family special for 4-6 people with free delivery....so good! Food showed up on time and remained warm. Rarely do we request take out or delivery, but this experience changed everything. Food exceeded our expectations and left us with leftovers for the next day. During these tough times, we must support our local eateries so they can survive. My only regret was not thanking the delivery person. Panini rocks!!! read more

Great price for the amount of food that was given to me. I first had a taste of Panini Kabob Grill at a Yelp event. I knew that this place was close to my office was I decided to check it out and possibly bring my bf back some lunch. This place is a sit down restaurant which confused me at first. It is actually pretty spacious instead. It was nice to sit down and relax for a little bit with great attentive service. It was during the lunch rush so they really hustled. Koobideh Kabob: I only ordered one Skewer since I wasn't starving but when the plate came out I was shocked. For $10.95, this plate was massive! Came with one skewer, rice of your choice, and salad (avocado with lime or something). I was able to finish 3/4 of the plate but it was such a great deal. The sirloin was seasoned and cooked very nicely which was paired off wonderfully with the rice pilaf. The salad was good but it was a little tart for me. I ordered a take out while I was dining in and they assured me that it was going to done in 20 mins. I was wondering what was taking with my salmon salad but the waiter told me that the salmon was very undercooked and they wanted to make sure I was happy. Great service! read more

This review is specifically for the Vegetarian Tofu Kabob entree, but 5 stars for everything else as well. Wanted to post here for people looking for vegetarian options (even though their chicken kabob is one of the best thing to happen on a skewer). The tofu is flavorful and firm on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion is big just like their other kabob entrees, and is under $9. The plate comes with choice of salad, choice of rice, and a side of hummus. I recommend asking for the yogurt on the side so you can dip your tofu and veggies in for that acidic and refreshing taste! read more

Gets pretty packed on weekends and dinner time - just a tip (this for is all the OC locations - I've tried them all). Now: Panini Cafe has, hands down, some of the most flavorful, moist and juicy chicken-breast kabobs I have ever had (again, at all the locations I've tried, one is not better than another). As I now feel awkward for writing that, I guess it's all good because you had to get the full effect of "the goodness" and all I had were my words to persuade you. I *also* think it's important for you to personally know that I can *confidently* call them the King of Kebabs at this point in my life. I'm ok with that. Panini Kabob Grill has by far the best and most tender kabobs I've ever eaten. Every time I'm in Southern California I try to go at least a few times to enjoy the Koobideh Kabob as well as the Chicken Kabob. Also was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the Salmon Kabob too. There was no wait for a Saturday late lunch. I dined with my wife and kid out in the beautiful patio to enjoy the great SoCal weather. It was much quieter outside too. They had a high chair for my kid. The waiter was friendly. I had a cocktail for my beverage. We had the hummus trio with pita bread to start. Decided to come to this location for Mother's Day dinner since its dog friendly. We typically go to the other Irvine location, but since moving this is our closest. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged when we arrived at the host stand. The employees were busy joking among themselves while cleaning tables. I witnessed an employee drop the rag on the floor, pick it up, and continue wiping the table down for a party who was waiting. We were finally seated, and my husband went to change our baby in the bathroom... THERE'S NO CHANGING STATION IN THE MEN'S RESTROOM. I then proceeded to take changing duties and upon entering the women's restroom, I wanted to turn around and walk out. The sink had bits of food in it, and the side of the sink was caked in grease/dirt. Luckily the change station was in one of the stalls and I always bring and use my portable changing station. Once returning to our table, my husband had already ordered drinks and a bread basket so that was waiting. It did take a while for our waiter to come back to take our food order, which he was apologetic about. We ordered our food and waited for it to arrive. This location is much slower than the other Irvine location, but it wasn't a terrible wait. HOWEVER, we didn't see our waiter again after placing our food order. I had to actually go inside and ask the manager if we could get drink refills. The manager then proceeded to disappear into the back and sent the host out to get us refills, but the host thought we wanted water. The host did get us the proper refills, and even offerd to bring our dog water. MIND YOU WE'D BEEN THERE OVER AN HOUR ALREADY AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGED OUR DOG. The only reason I am giving this location 3 stars is because their food is so good I can't leave a worse review. However, we will be making the longer drive to avoid this location in the future. read more

Hi, this is my first visit to this restaurant and the Family Combo is great lots of food for everyone. The freshest and highest quality of food is made here as well very healthy. I also recommend their Baklava and Banana Bread Pudding dessert. There was no wait and the restaurant is clean. Placed an order over the phone and once I got there, they told me that they didn't have my order. Everyone was super rude, not accommodating, and asked for my phone records. They kept implying that I might've called the other store. Once I showed them my phone records, they didn't have much to say. Had to wait an additional 30 min. I might even try takeout again, but maybe not on a busy day. ================== Don't order takeout here, unless you like waiting for long periods of time, and then maybe not getting your food at all. This is the second time we ordered online and the food was at least 30 minutes late. My daughter just missed her chemistry class and had to go hungry because they couldn't get their act together and have our food ready. This was an online order at 4pm for a 530 pickup. We were there at 530 and were told the order was being made. 15 minutes later we checked and it was still being made. 30 minutes, and the same response. Finally at 610 I asked again and they finally told me that nothing had been made yet and they were very sorry. Meanwhile people with later pick up times were leaving with their orders. Visited this location while in the area, normally we go to the Long Beach location. The service was amazing at this location our server's name was Vanessa I believe, they were very busy but we got seated quickly as we only had three people. We ordered family style and everything was so great. Juicy chicken and such large portions. The manager Marisa came by to check on us and I told her we had never been to this one as we live in Long Beach, she was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. She told us that another location would be opening in that area soon. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone in the area, great service and great food read more

My mom was saying how great the Panini Cafe on Jamboree Rd was so my family decided to try this location today. I ordered the koobideh kabob, flat iron steak kabob, and chicken kabob for my family online through eat24. When I got to the location I was amazed at the decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was super swanky for a Mediterranean place. When I walked up to the counter there were 2 girls counting bills at the register. I waited there for a few minutes and then they finally looked up. They made eye contact with my sister and me, but then proceeded to continue counting bills without saying a word. Behind them, there was a guy running around busting his ass to make sure all the orders were correctly organized. He finally turned around after 4 or 5 minutes and immediately acknowledged us. As we were waiting for our food, a family walked in behind us to dine in. The girl at the register (once again) did not attempt to acknowledge the family. A girl from the back yelled at the girl at the register to go greet the guests and only then did she do so. I was a very disappointed by how poorly some of the staff were trained. After we were given our order, I double checked to make sure everything was taken care of, but it seemed like they messed up our order. I had asked to have additional kabobs added on for addition costs, but they did not do that. I don't know if it was the fault of the restaurant or eat24, but it sucks that the online ordering didn't quite work out. My family split the entrees and we all tried a bit of everything. The Romaine avocado salad with it's dressing was very bland and there was not too much flavor. The Mediterranean Greek salad with it's vinaigrette dressing had way too much vinegar in it. The koobideh kabob had decent flavor and was probably the best of the bunch. The chicken kabob was both good and bad. Some pieces were tender/juicy and a few were extremely dry. The flat iron steak kabob was a complete let down. It was cooked medium, but the beef was overly tough and difficult to chew. I was definitely disappointed by the beef quality. Initially I thought that me ordering take out may have affected the quality of food, but there are plenty of times I have ordered take out at other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants that did not hinder the food from being great. I may consider dining in one of these days to see if my experience is any different. All in all, the food was underwhelming. The portion size was enough to keep me full and the price was not bad . The service I received on this brief encounter was sub par. I must say that I was not too impressed with this location. read more

Great food. Horrible service. Place was very busy. Management clearly didn't staff appropriately and; the floors were filthy. It took us 15 minutes to get waited on for drinks so we decided to order also. We got our food timely but didn't see our waiter again till we asked for the bill and a box.
