The doors look good when they are closed. The doors do not work if the frame is subject to direct sunlight. I was not told about the problem that the company was aware of until the doors were installed in my new construction. They referred to it as thermal bowing. It is a big problem in the winter because the doors face directly south because that has the best view. The first technician who came to the construction site said that the company was aware of the problem and he advised the company to train its salespeople to tell customers for years. The company told me to build a patio to prevent the thermal bowing. We designed and built our house to keep the unobstructed views. The worst part is that if the door is open and the frame bows I can't close the door until the sun goes away. The door binds on the frame and it seems like one of them is going to break if I force it. In addition, once I do get it closed it often does not lock because it is still out of alignment. The sun also fades the handle. The inside handle is still black but the outside handle is now a medium gray in under two years. I even purchased the screen door, which can only be used when the door is open because it cannot pass the handle when the door is closed. We didn't want to put drapes or blinds to cover the doors so it would have been great to use the screen to block some of the sun. I am very disappointed with Panoramic Doors. I would have bought a different product had I known that the company has no solution to the thermal bowing problem. I don't know how to check or uncheck any of the descriptions so assume I didn't check any positive ones and only negative ones. I am going to post videos online to demonstrate the problem. read more

They didn't provide installation and relied on me to find a contractor from a list of contractors they recommended. Here's the result (video). Can't recommend this product as it relies on a perfectly square installation that most contractors cannot perform. This door is 5 years old and I've consistently had problems. From product arriving damaged, latches breaking, and doors not opening and closing properly. After several attempts to get this fixed and reaching out to the company, they are placing the blame on the contractor that they recommended and are refusing to fix the real problem, which is re-installing the product so it's perfectly square. Also, these doors become very problematic if exposed to sun and causes the frame to bow. Combine that with an installation that is not precisely square and you'll have an expensive unusable door. So find a contractor who's retired from NASA if you want these doors to work correctly. read more

Terrible experience with Panoramic Doors, even worse experience with their customer support. I would not recommend anyone looking for doors like this to use Panoramic, there is much better options out in the market. This all began with Derek Jenkins at the Laguna Beach showroom, he promised a great experience and even better product. But it was nothing but a smoke screen and lies. After purchasing doors that exceeded $30k the path with Panoramic became a nightmare. Doors arrived 3 weeks late and the doors were badly manufactured. When installed it was revealed the doors were not the correct size and were not straight. This left the doors to have gaps and not being able to open or close properly. When I reached out to Derek about this, he promised to get the problem fixed. When Panoramic sent out certified Panoramic technicians the problems got worse and the doors became even more not usable and nothing like I was promised. By this time 4 months into trying to get them fixed, Derek just pushed me off to another person in Panoramic named Jarrod. He also promised fixes ASAP but that never happened. Another 4 months passed and the issues became even harder to deal with. Working with Panoramic was nothing but a nightmare filled with empty promises and fake call backs that never happened. Even to this day they have become silent and ignored all my calls and messages. Be careful purchasing anything with this company, do your homework and find another much more reputable company. read more

We had a 5 panel door installed in early 2021 and we're extremely happy with the product and the installation quality. For larger gatherings, we'll open up the panels leading to the back yard and the view is very impressive. This review is based on customer service that i have experienced from Derek, i haven't received the 5 panel door yet, however the service has far exceeded my expectations. I have had to do some change orders even after i submitted the final and Derek never seemed to be bothered by my mistake, (I don't recommend doing change orders after the fact, it could be too late) Derek ALWAYS responds to the phone or text and is always extremely helpful and patient, I cannot wait to get my door installed, I will submit a follow up review with photos. To all that take time to read a review I want to share my experience with Panoramic Doors. First & most importantly WoW what an amazingly awesome door, the form, function and fit are exactly what I was hoping to get. I found them at the Dwell Designers trade show & wanted to use them for a client project ever since seeing them. Well my first one went in early 2019 and when my GC on the job called and said he was really happy to report back that he actually liked the doors I knew I had a winner (he was a bit skeptical when I ordered them, just because he hadn't installed one before). We have now installed 3 more doors and have 5 more on order so I guess you can safely say we are thrilled with the product and especially with Dewey my sales person. Honestly the guy calls me back from dinner on a Friday night, totally not expected its just the type of guy he is and I always appreciate subs that take the time to return calls after hours. I had a three panel door installed 7 years ago. At the time, Panoramic Doors was installing the doors themselves and they installed mine. The doors are ok. After a while the panels don't slide on the track as well. I hate that when all the panels are open, they just float and go which ever way the wind takes them. There is no way to secure them together so they are not flapping. Also, in the last two years, I've noticed water damage in my wood floors inside. I think the track seals get old and water accumulates in the track with no where to go. The cutouts for the pivot point also may allow water in to the backside of the track (with nowhere for the water to go. There are weep holes on the outside, but they are not drilled to the track, they're drilled to the exterior cavity of the track. I've tried contacting them twice in the past four weeks and received not response yet. I don't know what to do next other than spend a bunch of money to rip this out for another better system. read more

I purchased my first three panoramic doors in 2014 because of their unique individual panel door system. These doors look amazing and they function flawlessly. I started a new construction project in 2019 and went back to Panoramic doors for a four panel door. Ordered my doors from Dewey Hayes and he was so good at returning phone calls and giving me information. The doors are beautiful and look so nice. There was an issue with some of the rubber molding and they scheduled an appointment and came right out to fix the molding only because it was damaged in shipping. Love, love, love our Panoramic Doors! Dewey Hayes was very easy to work with and the project was very much a collaboration. My GC mis-measured one of the doors (although Dewey confirmed and reconfirmed with them because they were coming very close to the other doors and the measurements seemed odd) and I was very frustrated but Dewey remained calm and had all the backup that showed it was GC error. Good news was that I didn't have to get involved in a he said - he said situation and new door was ordered quickly and easily. We have had a long beautiful summer and use our doors all the time - we can adjust the openings to accommodate the hot Santa Anas that have been blowing through this weekend.
