Terrible experience - stay away! Our project was in Newport Beach (my mother-in-laws house) If I could give zero stars, I would. The Folding Door Store completely botched our order, which caused major delays to our construction project. They initially ordered the wrong door, and when they realized their mistake, they lied to us and claimed they had ordered a replacement. Two months later, when we expected delivery, we found out they hadn't ordered it at all. Then they tried to blame it on a manufacturing issue, which we confirmed wasn't true. Brad and Mike were rude, difficult to work with, and nearly impossible to get a hold of. While they eventually admitted their mistake, they never apologized and acted like they were doing us a favor by fixing their own mess. To top it off, they tried to charge us extra for reinstalling the replacement! Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. Absolutely terrible customer service and a nightmare to deal with. In response to Brad's comment below. This is another example of the Folding Door Store twisting the story instead of accepting responsibility for their mistake. I was the first person who spoke to Mike after the wrong door was delivered. Mike said they put in in another order and also acted as it was somehow our fault for the wrong door being delivered and was not going to pay for the cost to reinstall until we pushed really hard. I took so long for review because I do not go around writing reviews. I am not sure why it matters if I write a review now or two months ago. I am writing this because your service was especially poor and I felt it deserved a review but I did not have the time to sit down to write a review until now. There is no confusion on our end just an inability by your company to perform a simple task and then when you messed up, you dragged your feet and did not claim any responsibility until we pushed you. read more

Worst customer service ever. Screen door cable/mesh is broken. Tried calling for three weeks to figure out if it was under some kind of warranty or how to get it fixed. Michael avoided my phone calls and blamed the service department on not following up. Then asked me if I'm sure I would like the service department to contact me because I seem upset. I hate to have to leave this review but you may want to get another company for your project. One with really good customer service and follow up after you have them install the doors they sell you. Our bi-fold doors had no problem at first, but now have an internal bolt locking mechanism failing. I called and emailed them to have someone come out and fix it. After 5 weeks of frustration from them, I was told they don't sell those doors anymore so I was handed off to the manufacture out of Ventura. They are sending someone out to fix them. This company suggested and sold me doors and then less than two years later drops that company and any customer service to the client they sold them to. Bad Business and bad customer service. Never again will I use them or refer them to anyone. read more

Smooth sales process but beware of warranty support. I've been calling every couple weeks about a warranty request for a broken latchbolt since early October. It's now January and the manufacturer has no record of the Folding Door Store actually submitting a claim despite repeatedly being told otherwise by the folding door store. I couldn't recommend them more. The sales staff was responsive and took time to answer all our questions. The pricing was also competitive given the quality of the materials. They seem to have doors for whatever your budget is. When it came to the installation, it took a bit longer than we expected but we didn't mind given their attention to detail. Every day when they were done, the crew left the space in the same condition as when they started the project. The quality of the work in the end was exceptional. They communicated throughout the entire project and were very easy to get a hold of. We had a couple minor technical issues that they came and fixed right away. Omg the product here is so perfect for whatever your budget and needs! All the doors are so pretty I had a really tough time picking out what we wanted to go onto our lakeview patio. Working with Brad has been a breath of fresh air. His business is super organized and well staffed. He personally follows up on jobs and does site visits even though he is the owner. His showroom is great to demo his products. They actually down sold me on my folding door system and took a great amount of care in answering all of my questions. It is just a joke where Y ell.p blocks his good feedback and then shows posts from trolls who want a screen door from a company that specializes in $30,000-$500,000+ custom jobs and then takes the time to slam someone with a great business?! My job is a tough one as the pool excavation is literally 10" or so from the door footings.. eek. Really neat design and it will look great.. but they literally have to build a false floor over a pool shell to set their steel beam. The engineer was great, city a pain in the ass of course. We bought a foulding door last year, they were very nice, price was great and installation was quick and easy.. Last night I was trying to open the the door and had an issue with the hardware I called Brad this morning and complained, two hours later he came to my house and fixed that with no charge! We bought folding doors as well as a sliding door, Centor... It has been 2 years now and the sllider has never worked properly. If the sun shines on it, the door swells and it barely opens. We hear " The engineers are working on it " !! They have done minor adjustments on the door, but none of it has worked after more than 2 years. We paid Thousands for the slider, it goes out side to our patio and pool and if the sun is shining on it we cant go out ... Does anyone have this issue with their Centor sliding door???? read more

Rude old lady with short hair. Treated us like idiots. Talked in lingo that you couldn't understand. She was very cynical and we left. We felt she treated us rudely as we are foreigners.
