This locally based coffee shop specializes in the small-batch roasting of coffee beans, and preparing finely crafted beverages. I ordered a Cappuccino, which was just what I needed. Nice flavor, and a beautiful little heart in the foamed milk. They also have an amazing looking selection of cookies, so, I obviously had to get one. I went for their S'Mores Cookie, because, duh. It's about the size of a small child's face, and super delicious (the cookie, not a child's face). It has a nice, slight crispness on out outside, and a soft, chewy center, riddled with chocolate chunks, graham and tiny bits of caramelized marshmallow. I got creative with it and made a S'Mores S'Mores Cookie with some Birthday Party Squish Marshmallows. It was off the charts. read more

The only reason this place is getting a mediocre score is because of the service. The coffee was really good, I had the french press which was great....but their service was horrible. The employees gave me a look like I had 3 heads of medusa when I asked them for half and half for my coffee. Also it was our first time going there so we wanted a recommendation of what was good and again I got another one of those "looks." I just didn't get it, maybe I'm missing that hipster gene? This place is awesome and independently owned, which makes it even better. The iced coffee hits the spot and so does the ambiance. I love how they use an old school coffee roaster which is displayed in the front. It's kinda like the display they have for Krispy Kreme but for coffee beans. The place gets packed especially from 6-9 from what I hear. I don't wake up until 9 so this will never be a problem for me lol! The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating was bc the music was way too loud inside for a coffee shop. Or maybe I'm just getting old haha read more

I love the ambience and the scene at Panther Coffee. It's very relaxed, and calm. It is very far from where I live, but when I'm around the area I make sure I stop by for a cappuccino and the 5 star cookies. I have a HUGE sweet tooth and those cookies are fantastic. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Scouts honor! It's also a good location to meet with a group of people. I can't count how many times I've had to meet with a group to finish a school project or plan a presentation there. It's definitely a life saver, because Starbucks and other coffee places fall short of what Panther Coffee offers. I love Panther Coffee! read more

First time I've ever been to wynwood during the day! And it's breezy enough for a nice cup of coffee! Inside is very clean, and the decor is so cool. It has this hip-rustic-woody feel to it. The menu does not fail to offer options and info on their coffee. Staff is knowledgeable about their coffee and were great at guiding me to the right type of coffee. Mulish from Ethiopia was the brew of the day and it's so good! I normally can't drink a coffee without any sugar or milk. I drank this one BLACK. The Ham and Swiss croissant was really good. Not just a great location with street art and graffiti. You can walk a few blocks and is filed with great expressions, great restaurant and bars. Panther, is great for many reasons, number one is their coffee, they roast their own and their barista know their job very well, second is their location and the atmosphere they created, artistic, hip and plane jaut cool to be there; reason three for me, is their service, espresso and buy coffee beans. This place serves up a good cup of coffee with some truly personal customer service. This week, it was raining. Brian, one of the awesome baristas, stationed himself at the door with a huge umbrella and walked customers to their cars as they headed out for the night. Never seen a coffee shop do this before. For those non-coffee drinkers who are looking for a chill alcoholic drink without the bar atmosphere, panther has beer and now appears to have a new wine cooler. The iced tea is tasty, and the pastries (almond-peach pie anyone?) and soufflés are incredible. For coffee, if you have a date and are wanting a taste of the regional coffee, I'd recommend the Chemex (not sure how to spell it) - you get about three cups worth of brewed coffee. The cappuccino (with a heart!) and cold-brewed coffee also hits the spot. I seriously haven't had a drink here that hasn't been perfectly made. You guys get an upgrade to 5/5! Panther coffee in Wynwood is a great coffee shop with an unbelievable location. Sitting on the patio with a front row seat watching what's going on in one of the most unique neighborhoods in America is such a cool experience! I've been into Panther a few times now, and there are 2 things that hold true every time I go in. 1. The coffee and associated drinks are very good. The first time I went in, I had a nitro cold brew that they had on tap and I was blown away! It was so smooth, and had a great flavor associated with it. I could drink them all day.... except for fact #2. 2. It's quite expensive. When I say this, I don't just mean quite expensive because it's in an area that's already wickedly overpriced for food, I mean it's EXPENSIVE. The nitro cold brew mentioned above ran me nearly $8 for a 12oz cup. That's unheard of, and I have had some pretty damn expensive cups of coffee. The second time I went in, I got a chocolate croissant and a 16oz iced vanilla latte, and the total cost was $13!! To me, that's just impossible to justify. I don't care where you are, that's aggressive. In the past I have brought myself to consistently do $9-$11 for the same thing, but I do it reluctantly. $13 is where I draw the line. If the price points were a little more realistic, I would be spending almost every day I'm in Miami at Panther Coffee. Alas, I cannot. read more

Hello. My name is Mich, and I'm a coffee addict. And that is not all. I am also, and I hate to admit this, a bit of a coffee snob, always wrinkling my nose in disdain at mainstream places like Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, and even - gasp- Starbucks. Fortunately, Miami offers many great options when it comes to java thanks to the ubiquitous Cuban "ventanitas" that serve sweet and hot cortaditos and coladas in practically every corner. However, when I am in the mood for a more traditional, real cup of espresso, my choice is always Panther Coffee. What exactly makes Panther Coffee so special? For starters, their coffee grains, which come from carefully selected farms from all around the world, are always roasted in a vintage roaster on site. This makes an enormous difference in the quality and taste of their drinks. One of my faves happens to be the classic cappuccino, which is incredibly strong yet smooth at the same time (no bitter taste) and always comes with Instagram-worthy latte art on top. However, during the summer months my go-to drink is the cold brew, which is brewed overnight and then served over ice with, in my case, lots of milk. Just as their cappuccino, the flavor is strong, with delicious notes of chocolate which make it nearly impossible for me to drink slowly. I always want to have it all in one gulp! However, its high caffeine content makes it very dangerous for hyper types like yours truly, so be careful not to fall in the temptation of ordering another one right away! Unless you are one of those people that's immune to caffeine, in that case, knock yourself out! One thing that makes Panther Coffee stand out from the rest in addition to their coffee is the scene, which varies according to the location. The Wynwood location, the original one, has already become a neighborhood institution and an iconic meeting place for hipsters and artsy types alike. I personally love going there on weekends and pretend I'm a photographer or some kind of artist, while I sip my drink and enjoy the people watching. Both the crowd and the vibe of the South Beach location are quite different than its Wynwood counterpart. This one, located in the trendy Sunset Harbour area, is surrounded by gyms and fancy yoga studios, providing another type of people watching: beautiful SoBe types prancing around in Lululemon after their workouts, with perfect hair and make-up (how do they do it??!!). Despite of what having coffee at this location might do to your self-esteem, the great thing about it is that it offers plenty of seating space and is ideal for those people who, like me, can't study or work at home and need a hideaway place to concentrate. Lastly, the great news about Panther Coffee is that they are expanding to three new locations in the Grove, MiMo District and Little Haiti! When I hear Panther Coffee, I was thinking it was a gonna be a girly girly place for some reason and boy was I wrong. Its more of a laid back, single origin, and industrial feel coffee shop. The coffee shop it self is pretty small but they do have a few tables and a large communal high top that seats about 6 or less if everyone is on their lap tops. There is additional seating outside on the patio if you want to just chill out there on a breezy day. The line on a Saturday wasn't too long and the staff got my cold brew pretty quickly. It was strong and smooth but still a little bitter. There's a drink station near by the exit door with lots of options for sugar and creamer/milk. A large cold brew (16 oz) will cost you about 4 something. It's a decent price considering you're in south florida. I've read a lot about the staff being inattentive or not super friendly. I can see where that is coming from but the staff member I dealt with was nice; not overly friendly or rude. Just kind of normal... I don't see this as a place to get any work done unless you're actually working at the coffee shop. Its just too busy. Overall, I do like this place and will grab a cup of joe before walking around Wynwood again. read more

Wow. I hadn't even heard of this place but my cousin who was visiting mentioned it so we headed over. The location is great and the vibe is on point - not too pretentious, just the right amount of hipster. The line was longish and moved at an ok rate. It wasn't fast but it wasn't bad. We ordered two vanilla cold brews and one iced vanilla decaf latte. All were delicious. I'm not a coffee snob so I don't have any specific coffee statements to make but my latte was carmely and just sweet enough. We also got croissants - plain and ham and cheese - and a veggie quiche. The croissants were buttery and flaky and the quiche was filled with veggies (and slightly cold in the middle because of how they cooked it). This place is great. I would come here all the time if it were a bit closer to my neighborhood. As it is, I'll make it a point to visit when I visit the murals and galleries in the art district. As noted, it is a bit of a hipster haven, but that's ok since everyone was crazy nice, and one of the guys roasting the coffee was more than happy to talk to my wife and answer tons of questions about the store and their coffee. And yes, I said "the guy roasting the coffee". Move to the left end of the store, and you'll see a coffee roasting and testing area where they convert raw coffee bean, on premises, into beautifully brown savory coffee beans ready for brewing. Not only that, but apparently their beans come directly from plantations and family farms that the owner personally contacts and works with. So while not fair trade certified necessarily, it is direct-to-producer and thus cutting out the cartels and giving the farmers a larger share. Their slow-drip coffee tastes awesome. They also had some guava cookies that were fantastic. The chocolate chip cookies were also good, but not quite to that level. THe atmosphere is very boho, and a little bit Portland done Miami-style, meaning the full-sleeved tattoo'd barista with the Kinks tee is serving coffee for a mix of boho types, glamour queens and beach dudes. read more

So after reading some other reviews about the amazing coffee one can get here, I planned a stop at this place. One can expect a very streamline modern decor. I could have lived without their "Scotch artwork" on the wall, but then again tastes differ - plus I came for the coffee not the artwork....... And coffee is what they mainly have, aside from some pastries and doughnuts. Their menu is very straight forward. They have espresso based drinks one can have hot or cold as well as their special blends that are actually roasted right there in that very facility. That is neat! I suggest you have the server run you through their 3 blends in order to determine which one suits your taste. They have even sample coffee beans on their counter for you to sniff on. :) I had their special espresso house blend on ice, which had a very nice flavor that did not require sugar. I guess it had a sweetness to it. It was not too strong but neither too weak. Between an small iced latte and my small espresso on ice the bill was $7.50. Not too bad. I enjoy the bitterness and the acidity of every cup or mug. From espresso to drip coffee to vac pots. So many ways to extract the wonderful flavors out of coffee that Panther Coffee offers that no one else in S. Fla. offers. Now, is it like the coffee shops like in San Fran. Maybe not. BUT! It does offer you very good quality and expertly, carefully roasted and brewed coffee. The staff at Panther Coffee will only serve a cup to you if it's perfect. If it is brewed any longer than the recommended time and the flavors are not consistent, they will not serve that cup to the customer and jus brew them another one. Customer service is excellent! These people know their stuff and they don't mind educating you on it and you may come out of the store a little more than just an amateur. Just ask questions! Friendly baristas and roasters. There are multiple shops but it still has that small coffee shop vibes. The staff explained to me their process with the coffee and how they tune the coffee to taste the same, this is usual for large amounts of coffee. I went over to this place 3 mornings in a row, the first time was my favorite even though I ordered the same iced coffee with cream + 2 pumps of vanilla no extra sugar. With coffee shops sometimes the amount of cream varies, the hot coffee was more consistent. If I'm back in Miami I'll go back here and try more of their options. read more

I'm not a regular coffee drinker but came here for a pick me up. Since it was a gazillion degrees out, I decided on an iced latte and ordered the 12oz with vanilla and dark chocolate flavoring. It was really good and hardly needed sugar. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and is pretty hipster like; the service was also good. The waitress apologized for the wait and was very knowledgeable and helpful in my decision making. It's walking distance to other restaurants, shops and art galleries in the area. So yesterday we were in the Midtown area looking to kill some time and I remembered i wanted to try this place. Went over I just love how there is free parking everywhere ! And the place is very cool inside so not Miami you feel like you are in San Francisco. Sat outside they have an awning so it is shaded so you are not in the direct sun. I've been here three times now and it's not like the coffee is horrible, it's decent it is, but it's just...there's nothing special besides the cute latte art that is rare in Miami. If you're in Wynwood during the day, order something and definitely sit outside. There's bike tires hanging from the tree and usually a pretty good view of someone working on a wall. I didn't know what to expect, I really thought it was just another Cafe in Wynwood. Panther Coffee is not like any other ordinary coffee shop. This place has SWAG. I am an artist myself, and by being at this place, it actually sparks up inspirations and ideas! You know those places you go to to brain storm for a project. Ive been in Miami almost five years and had never stopped in for a coffee. Yesterday changed that. I have to say overall the coffee was really good. I had a redeye with chocolate and the blend was strong yet smooth. The staff here was friendly and upbeat which matched the environment itself. Perfectly located in Winwood there is a spacious (yet dark) interior and an open/inviting area outside that allows for groups to have their own areas that give a sense of semi privacy or a more social seating around the tree in front. I give it only four stars due to the high price however as an occasional treat or "something to experience" it is definitely worth it. I've finally found a place outside of The Lab in Tampa that can satisfy my needs for coffee. Panther Coffee does some great brews. I thought at first it might just a tourist trap because of the lines, but upon inspection they really do make quality coffee and that's great! It wasn't overpriced either for a Wynwood shop. The staff was really friendly and helpful, I ordered a Bolivia coffee (Finca las Alasitas) made with a Clever Coffee Dripper and it was excellent. Exactly how I wanted it and that was thanks to the baristas recommendations. The only thing I would recommend is having a more efficient menu board or something because it would definitely better to be able to look over the menu before hitting the register. Coffee aficionados unite and gather at this meeting house of all that is hip, artsy, and curated by a dozen or so baristas. Yesterday was my second visit, and I am sold on the hype. I felt 20 years younger sitting there for an hour, and who doesn't want the fountain of youth dangling over their bodies?! Street art galore is up and down the streets around the coffee house to keep you entertained if you don't feel like parking it and playing video games on your laptop, writing your next blog entry, or having a meeting between 2. The first time I had a warm vanilla latte, and the second was an iced. Both were superb, and I'd easily go back for both. And I will. IN fact, I can't wait for my next adventure to Panther. It is an experience not for the wary. You will have to come with some patience as they are very busy after all. If you love coffee, even if you are just the occasional coffee drinker, this place is a must. Where in all of South Florida have you seen a coffee shop roasting their own beans right in front of your face?! Nowhere. I had a cortadito to go... such a shame! I wish I would have gotten something bigger! After the first sip I learned my mistake. What was this that I was tasting?! I sipped it as slowly as possible so I could savor the rich flavor that was perfectly balanced with a smooth finish. There is only one solution to my misfortune - head back again tomorrow! The plumpest empañada I ever did eat. Unlike the other pastries in the display case, the empañadas are in the freezer. But don't let that deter you from ordering it because the beef empañada was one of the best I've had. After a trip to the oven, the pastry was crisp and piping hot. The filling was 98% ground beef and 2% peppers. While a few more veggies would have been nice, the filling was well seasoned and well... filling. I also tried my friend's Cold Brew Nitro White and it made me consider being more of a coffee connoisseur. Would definitely recommend! read more

Let's correct that forthwith: Panther IS Miami coffee's mecca. World-class sourcing, education, barista training, the lot. New locations coming online, recently or imminently. And this ab ovo in less than 5 years. Temptation would've been to let flagship venue slip. Hasn't happened. I won't flog details, but simply say there's nothing (save the parking situation) to be improved upon.
