I ordered 30 cupcakes for my best friend's surprise 30th birthday party this weekend, and they were a HUGE hit! My best friend and I are both vegan, and have eaten Papa Ganache cupcakes several times in the past few years. I ordered 1/2 dozen each of Lemon, Strawberry Shortcake, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Samoa cupcakes for the party, since there were 35 people in attendance. Everyone loved the appearance of the cupcakes, since they were beautifully decorated. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Samoa cupcakes were all gone within seconds, as were most of the Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla cupcakes! The birthday boy took home all of the Lemon cupcakes. The only complaint a few people had was that there was way too much icing on the cupcakes, and so they had to scrape most of the icing off with knives. In the future, we'll ask for much less icing to be put on the cupcakes (if it's at all possible for Papa Ganache to do so for an order). The only complaint that I have is that each cupcake is priced at $3.75, but there's no discount for a dozen or multiple dozen cupcakes. I wasn't able to pick up the cupcakes myself, so can't speak to to the service at the actual storefront, but the 2 individuals I spoke with on the phone (once while placing the order and the other when requesting an email receipt) were very helpful. read more

Sometimes the cupcakes are good and fresh but the last few times I've been here the cupcakes are rock hard and gross. What a bummer.

As someone who has had to adapt to a vegan gluten free lifestyle, I know how difficult it is to find a decent place to eat...let alone bakery. And for a while, Papa Ganache was that place. It was close to home, and their offerings were substantial and delicious. That is, until the "service" I received from the owner ruined it all, to the point that I will never step foot or spend money in the establishment again. It was a winter afternoon, that I decided to bring my nephew in for a cupcake. He is bright, and at the age of 8, was curious as to the things that Aunt Megan could actually eat. He ordered a cupcake and a lollipop, and as I pulled out my card to pay, the cashier told me that their credit card machines were down. Ashamed as I am to say it, I know I am not the only one that has not had a mere $4 in cash on them to pay a ($3.75) bill. I asked the cashier if we should hold off on the order, or just wait it out. She let me know that the owner would be there in a few minutes, and that they were on the phone with the credit card company, so it shouldn't be too much longer. Ok, not too bad, as I settled down at a table to watch my nephew enjoy his cupcake... About 30 (much more than a few) minutes later, the person I could only assume to be the owner breezed her way into the store. She floated around the back, then behind the counter, before finally making her way into the public area after another 20 minutes. It was at this point that I noticed that she was going up to people and tables....with a post-it notepad... After making her rounds, she finally came over to my table and said that she would like to settle my bill by taking my credit card number. I'M SORRY, WHAT?!?!?!?! I told her that I was not comfortable with her WRITING MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER DOWN ON A POST-IT. I said no thank you, I will continue to wait until your machines are up. "Ok, suit yourself," is the response I got. Great. Another 30 minutes went by with no communication or resolution, so I asked the cashier what the status was. She let me know that they did not have an ETA for the fix. I sat back down, not knowing what to do, as I literally had about a quarter in cash on me. At this point, I had essentially been trapped in this place for well over an hour (which could have been avoided, had they told me from the start that their machines were down...but that is besides the point...) It was then that the owner came out and said that it was ridiculous that I had been sitting there this long (ummmm, agreed...) and that I could either...RETURN THE PRODUCT or pay in full when their machines were working. I said, "First, I've been here for over an hour, trying to pay for one cupcake and one lollipop. Second...you want me to return the product?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'm sorry, but you sold it to an 8 year old and told him it was ok to eat it. How exactly would you like me to return it now??" The response I received......"I'M REALLY SORRY HE ATE IT TOO, BUT I GUESS THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT NOW, IS THERE? I DON'T WANT YOU TO HAVE TO WAIT ALL DAY FOR A $3.75 CHECK. YOU CAN COME BACK TOMORROW AND PAY, ONCE OUR SYSTEMS ARE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN." Thank you...your last lines are the ones that have solidified my resolve to NEVER return to your establishment again. I could've looked past the technology fails, and even the lack of response and communication of them to your customers. What I CANNOT and refuse to ignore, is your blatant disregard for treating your customers with respect. Choosing to use POST-IT notes, filled with credit card information, in this day and age just shows a lack of education and business maturity. read more

Horrible cupcakes, Apple pie, and food. Don't waste your money. They use to much soy butter or cream. There is no favor. All you taste is fat!!! You feel horrible after eating this. Very delicious vegan treats and food. They offer an extensive gluten-free selection, which is fantastic! While it can be tempting to buy a dozen cupcakes, I'd recommend trying their other items as well (the frosting is very sweet and can be too much if you're planning on eating more than one item in one sitting). The tie dye cupcakes are INCREDIBLE. Gluten-free items cost more than the others, but when you need to avoid wheat or gluten, you so what you've got to do, unfortunately. The employees have always been very kind and it's always pretty quiet when I visit. There is minimal seating, but it's more of a grab-and-go establishment. read more

Hi, took my 5 year old to buy a cupcake. She picked out a chocolate cupcake. It looked so good, she was so excited to eat it. I told her not until after dinner. Well dinner came and went, she was literally jumping up and down ready to eat. I knew we were in for a bath! She took 1 bite and spit it out and said, "Dad, let's never ever go there again". We've gotten quite a few bakery items here and all of them were top notch. My husband was very happy to finally introduce me to the world of cannoli; delicious stuff and he was right, I had no idea what I was missing! I have not tried the lunch items but we did order a slice of pizza.... STAY AWAY FROM THE PIZZA. I'm sorry but it was so bad I had to capitalize that. The crust was the only redeemable part and that's after it broke and we chose to ignore it's bland flavoring. I've been to Papa Ganache a few times now and have had good experiences every time. There's a lot of negative reviews here for silly reasons. I think a lot of that stems from the recent fame Papa Ganache has found. That always makes people more critical of something. The foods great and the employees are delightful. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I stopped in on a Saturday, to find out their Sunday opening hours. I was in need of 1 gluten free cupcake, as I was attending a baptism, and wanted to bring a cupcake to the Hostess, whom is gluten free, and would not be able to enjoy the special cake that she had purchased for the party. Very nice young staff was working. (young high school girls) They answered my questions, I purchased a treat for myself, and stated I'd be back first thing in the morning, for the single fresh cupcake. Upon my return the next morning....the woman who waited on me, COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY RUDER!! Sadly, upon viewing this bakery on YouTube, I am very much under the impression, that SHE IS THE OWNER!!!! VERY cold person, with a terrible, short attitude---as if I was bothering her! I needed a simple, chocolate cake/white icing cupcake. But everything was all "halloweened-out" or fancier than what I really needed. Upon hearing my [very simple] need, A DECENT business owner, could have, AND WOULD HAVE OFFERED, to scrape that icing off, and re-pipe PLAIN white icing onto it. After all---I wanted/needed simple...NOT the other way around!! Assuming she knows how to pipe a cupcake...it would've taken her all of 40 seconds, if she actually cared!!! Even WORSE...I came back the next morning, expecting FRESH cupcakes. To my surprise--the case still had slim pickings' of YESTERDAYS baked goods in them!! Had I known that...I could've just bought the cupcake when I was there YESTERDAY, and not wasted my time or gasoline coming back! I will say, the "Apple Pie Pizza" I purchased for myself [the day prior] was actually pretty good. But my overall experience, was AWFUL! Had I not needed something "gluten free," or if I had known of another GF Bakery in the area,...I would've just walked out and gone elsewhere! Yesterday was my mother in law's 60th birthday. My brother in law picked up a cake from there to bring out to the restaurant with us. The WORST cake I have ever tasted!!! It tasted like it was 2 weeks old. We didn't think to ask the waiter to wrap our cake up after it was cut up. He called today to complain and they say they have a policy you have to bring the cake back in??? never would recommend this place to anyone read more

The food was great. We tried the mac and cheese, vegetarian pizza, and a calzone-like bread and eggplant dish. We also tried 2 cupcakes that were delicious. The service, unfortunately, was rather bizarre. The person attending the store (by herself it seemed), wasn't very approachable. Her responses to my questions (it was my first time there), seemed to bother her. She initially gave me short and abrupt responses; I felt like I had to walk around eggshells. Gauging the situation, I just "backed off" with the questions, and eventually she warmed up to me in her own way. After we sat to eat, another customer entered the store, but left shortly thereafter. The person who attended us came with our food and made a comment about how the customer who had just left was very rude, when all she was trying to do was help. My guess is that the worker isn't aware of how her customer service was a little awkward. Overall, the food was great, and she was an efficient worker in that she was fast, brought the food on time to us, and cleaned the table at an appropriate time. I have been coming here for about 4 months now, I usually get their desserts which are delicious, but today I decided to try the Mac N' Cheese. The Mac N' Cheese was $10.50 for a small container. The noodles are overcooked to begin with, once I put them in the microwave to warm them up they turned to mush and there was hardly any cheese. I will never get this again. Went back to this place a few times after my first visit and forgot to update my review. I'm in love with the strawberry shortcake cupcake. It has an actual strawberry in the middle of the cupcake. The red velvet cupcake was good but not to my taste. I also had the cheese danish. The cheese danish was very tasty. It is in the shape of a pinwheel. I didn't expect it to taste so good and wished I brought more than one. They sell baked ziti in the refrigerator to take home and put in the oven. I brought it and it was delicious as well. This is about a 10 - 15 minute ride from my house and I don't mind taking the ride. This is my go to vegan place to eat. read more
