I will not visit this location again. I called and placed my order, waited 30 minutes and then picked it up. I didn't realize my order was wrong until I left the store so I called them and they wouldn't do anything to help me fix the order besides charging me additional money for more food. She told me it was not their fault that I ordered the wrong thing, even though I ordered the right thing. Whomever took my order made the mistake. Papa John's is one of the closer pizza joints to me - and quite frankly, I don't care that they are a chain - they consistently make good pizza. I've had their square "The Works" pan pizza several times over the last couple of months from this location - ordered with banana peppers and extra pepperoni and Italian sausage. Always delivery. As Nene Leakes quoth: Whew chile, the ghetto! First and foremost, it took almost an hour and a half for the pizza to get to us on a Thursday. When it did arrive, the driver forgot half the order. So we had to call in and speak to someone to have the delivery driver come back with the rest of the order. I don't know what it is about the old man delivery drivers, but they keep being a problem. From holding the food hostage for a tip, asking women if they're home alone, and forgetting orders, it's a problem. The pizza itself is less than mediocre even for Papa John's mediocre standards. If mediocre is "good" for PJ's, then the pizza is less than mediocre for THAT standard. It tasted like an old pizza that was kept warm for hours under the hot lamps. And on the 45 minute drive down the mile or so to where we were, it cooled, congealed, and hardened like a metapod. It was super effective. Edit: the pizza made us all physically ill. On two separate occasions they've called me back immediately after placing my order at night and told me the wait time is going to be an hour to an hour and a half. I've worked at a pizza place too, and I get that you might not feel like making any more pizzas an hour before you close... but honestly, you could at least come up with a more clever excuse. Also, I've ordered several different times from this location (not just at night) and when I've actually gotten my food, the quality has not impressed--even for a Papa Johns (which I understand does not have amazing pizza to begin with, but hey, broke and in college, a girl gotta eat). read more

This Papa John's is my go to spot for quick, decently priced pizza. I prefer Papa John's because I believe of the large chains they make the best pizza. I've done carry out and delivery from this location many times and at this point I haven't had a bad experience. They offer many varieties of pizza and I consider their menu to be pretty diverse compared to other chains. It's vary rare that I try something new and don't like it. My personal favorite is the spicy Italian sausage with green peppers. The staff I've dealt with here is always friendly, polite and do their job right. On one occasion when I did carry out they made a pizza incorrectly, but they recognized the problem right away and quickly made the correct one in a short amount of time. On the delivery side of things I've always had good experiences with their drivers. From my observations the facility is clean and well maintained. One thing I really like about Papa John's is the online and app ordering service. Compared to other chains it works well every time and without issue. Ordering a pizza shouldn't be hard and they do a good job making it easy for the customer. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

Customer service: horrible. I went to place an order before they closed for carryout: posted time: 10pm: got there at 9:55pm. It is also posted that they close at 11pm, I guess for delivery. Richard opened the already locked door, and was very matter-of-fact about them accepting their last order for pick up at 9:40pm, after I tried to clarify with him about the 10pm posted time. Although I was I not able to place an order, thankfully I was able to drive down the street and place an order at dominos for $5 cheaper without questions! Dear Papa Johns: If a nice customer comes up to the door before closing, and you're closing earlier than the posted time, you're only hurting your own business by not accommodating that customer's order. We have been ordering papa johns pizza since they opened in Haymarket Va and have never had a complaint. On September 4, 2021 we ordered two pizzas for dinner, took them home and began to consume. They didn't taste the same and We figured out they didn't have enough sauce on the pizzas, they were dry. I called and spoke to someone at the store ( I believe it was the manager) and told him my concerns about there not being sauce on the pizza, I was told that they put sauce on the pizza and if i felt there wasn't enough then I should request extra sauce next time. There will not be a next time. I didn't expect a credit but i did expect "I am sorry that your pizza was not as good as you wanted it to be ( something in that range). I have never had to ask for extra sauce. A little empathy would have gone a long way and I wouldn't have written this. If I could have given you a no stars, i would have. read more

Terrible customer service one the phone. They voided my online order without me knowing. I called just to add something to my order only to find out my order no longer existed. The guy on the phone was very rude and unhelpful through my confusion. At the end of the call I apologized for being a "hassle" simply because I work in retail and I don't like being a difficult customer. He said "thanks. I ordered online at 10am for delivery at 11:30am. 11:45am I called and they said they are making it and it will be ready within the hour. I think they forgot my order. Now, it is 1pm still no pizza!!!!! Called and the manager on duty, Lisa, said that they can make the pizza now and it will be ready within another hour.
