first off I want to say I love Papa John's, which really sucks because I had to deal with this horrible manager Ryan. Normally, they do a great job on cooking our pizza, but they undercooked it so badly it was unable to eat which is not like them. we tried to eat it a couple slices, but only got halfway through the pizza. I had an order number for him. I offered to send them pictures. I have offered to buy a pizza and just asked for one comp and go pick it up from the store so there wasn't an inconvenience delivering it to be credited. He continued to say because it was a day ago that there is nothing he can do and I had to call right then and there, but I didn't have time or the patience to handle that night so we decided to try it again today one day later. and when I talk to the manager, Ryan he was very negative and unprofessional. He also just hung up the phone without finishing the conversation. . It's unfortunate for the business owner because we spend so much money at that store because of how much we enjoy Papa John's and because he hired this younger kid Ryan, who has no patience and probably is not qualified for the job. He just lost a very valuable customer.. I thought I was being very reasonable telling him I would purchase another pizza just to get the other one I I offered him an order number. I don't know what else I could've done. I used to work as a pizza kid when I was younger I would've never handled the situation like he did. They used to come with a garlic cup n marinara( back in the day) now you just get the marina and the stix. How do they justify this. You can get a carryout for 8.99. ?? The breadstix are just the large Doughball stretched then docked and cut. My guess is takes less then 2 dollars of product inclusive if the box. I've been ordering pizza for the family from here just about every Friday for the last year or so. About a month ago, the last time I ordered, it was a particularly busy night. The app said it would be about an hour, it's busy, I get it, no problem. The driver shows up at an hour and 20 mins, I'm still okay. The driver brought the wrong order, I'm still okay. The driver asked me to hold on while he called the manager. You would think the he store will just send someone right over with the correct order, right? Nope. This is where things go south. The manager said that the driver that came would have to take the rest of the deliveries in his car, then drive back to the store, then get back to me on his next route. But they would throw in a free dessert for my trouble. Unbelievable. So now, my 1 hour delivery would turn into 2+ hours because they refused to have a different driver bring it. I was in the pizza delivery business for several years, all through college. I can't believe this is company policy, it has to be an inept manager, but regardless, they lost my business. ADDENDUM2: Owner did email me back and I did speak with a manager, who was very pleasant; however, "The next pizza is in us" just doesn't work considering the fact this company is spending millions to get customers back but then sucks at that too. I'm done. Not going to use the free pizza. They can feed it to a homeless person. ADDENDUM1: I finally discovered the missing peppers I ordered. Teeny tiny dipping sauce containers of sliced peppers for $1.75 each. This was a shock to me because when I have ordered multiple pepperoncini sides in the past for $.50, I would literally get fistfuls of peppers, enough to store inside a Ziploc-type bag for a week! Are banana peppers really that more costly and is $1.75 for that tiny amount of sliced peppers really a fair price, AND why not inform the customer exactly what they get by showing a picture of what is really purchased, same as other menu items! It is very sad because they offer quality food with lots of options, but the customer service is so bad, along with the fact the founder is a racist, even with a so-called VIP 35% off for the rest of the year, I can't see returning. When the corporate office launched a "we want you back" campaign this year, I had two nice email conversations with the local franchise owner, Rich Malekzadeh. We were weighing the fact that founder (and admitted racist) John Schnatter would receive money of each purchase versus local workers making way less money as a result of people boycotting the brand. This afternoon was a rare time I have ordered from this company since the founder controversy came to light. My order this afternoon included a WELL-DONE medium pizza AND two orders of banana peppers. When the driver arrived, he handed me a plastic bag which contained only a soft drink and two sauces. I asked, "Where are the banana peppers?" The driver said, "Everything else you ordered is in the boxes, including the two sides of peppers." I should have opened and inspected each box before signing the check because when I took the food into the kitchen, there were NO sides of banana peppers in any of the boxes. In fact, two sides of peppers WOULD NEVER FIT in those boxes along with the food. I also immediately noticed my pizza was NOT well done as requested. I immediately called the store and asked to speak with a manager. After a long hold, a man came on the phone and when I asked for his title, he hesitated and said nothing. I asked for his title again and he said he was a "shift lead." I said I wanted to speak to a manager. He said none were available. I asked him to have a manager call me within 15 minutes or that I would be emailing the franchise owner. Evidently, he did not have the information for me on Caller ID (which is odd) and said he would have to write down my information. I clearly and distinctly gave him my phone number and one legal name. As I was spelling my name, he said: "You are going too fast." When I started spelling my name slower for him, which is not an issue, he said to me, and this is a direct quote, "I am not retarded." At that point, I simply hung up the phone. If this is the type of environment the local franchise owner condones from his employees, he is no better than the founder of Papa John's. I immediately emailed that owner and hope he takes appropriate action. read more

Lacks customer service and common sense. I've been here plenty times in the past and no issues that I can recall beside younger people not really knowing how to use the register. I ordered a large pizza extra onion, extra sausage and 1 mushroom today and the same pizza also on6/15/2020. Same discrepancy on the pizza for both dates. Both times I am missing quantity of topping on one or the other. On 6/15/20 I did received just as much onion as mushroom even though I paid for extra onion. I called on 6/15/20 to let the management know my discrepancy and was told it would be handled and my name was taken and ensured that quality check would be done next time . Today on 6/27/20 I notice the pizza has very little mushroom and some slices have maybe 1 piece of mushroom on entire slice. I proceeded to let the store know, the person who made my pizza came to the front immediately and proceeded to explain how portion sizes shrink. I will never order from Papa John's again. You have one chance to make a good impression and they blew it with my first order from them. They also need a new manager from the gal I spoke with. First of all, the pizza was a bit bland, but the big disappointment was I ordered two orders .....double mushrooms. There were 2 tiny pieces on each slice of my large pizza. I asked to speak to the manager and she spent the whole conversation making excuses and arguing with me. My bill was $37.00 and she refused to take the mushrooms off the bill or anything off my bill. She had a bad attitude and needs to go back to training. I will never order from them again, and would recommend anyone else to order their pizza from someone else.
