So fun fact if the magic win with over 110 points the next day, Papa John's Pizza is 50% off their regular priced pizzas. So I decided to give this location a try since I had a not so great experience at the other location. I got a regular pizza and a New York style crust. Both pizzas were cooked well and this will probably be my preferred location from now on. I did have a problem with ordering cuz I wanted to try their new pan pizza. However there is a discount already applied on it which you can't remove so that one is not eligible for 50% off. I did try to call into store to see if I could place the order that way, however, it seems like it gets sent to a call center so you're better off placing the order online. Subway pizza is better! Not the sandwich place, the actual subway where Pizza Rat gets his slices from. Even when ordering "Well Done", the new Pan Pizza was like soft bread with crap sauce and the thinnest layer of cheese possible on it. I was so disappointed. I ended up putting the slices in a frying pan to crisp up the bottom. Nothing worse than a soggy bottom, right? And the whole point of Pan Pizza is the crispy cheese on the crust... only 2 slices had that part and the rest was like normal pizza... Did the pan break? The ONLY reason it's 2 stars instead of 1 is that the Shaqaroni is actually pretty good. But everything else I've gotten here over the years has been cheap garbage. I don't know why people hate on Papa John's so much. I will admit I'm a bit of a pizza snob and normally hate to order from chains, but in a pinch I will for the kids. I can't stand the hut or dominos so I convinced Mr. S to try Papa John's since we didn't want to splurge on the usual Italian joint. We got a great $16 deal with a large one topping AND papadilla. I prefer thin crust pizza bc it feels lighter but this thin was extremely disappointing. The crust was incredibly dry and paired with too little sauce, so it was a bit difficult to eat. The bacon also offered no flavor so it felt like a useless topping. The family and I have been to this new location a few times now, and I have to say that their service, pizza and garlic knots have been spot on. I used to be more of a Hut fan, but have recently changed over to PJ's because I feel like their pizza is just much better. With this new location that was desperately needed for our area, makes ordering PJ's much more convenient. There is no in-store dining, just delivery and/or carry out. Their app is very well done and makes it easy to order and see the status of your order while it's being made. They offer specials all the time. Online ordering is a disaster! Will not be ordering here again. We placed an order to this location, it got rerouted to the UCF location and then canceled. We spoke with them and heard that this is a common problem. (I encourage anyone else to take action immediately as they will not reach out to you despite what their email tells you) We then called the Avalon location to try to figure things out and were put on hold for over 20 minutes. As we were on the phone reordering... a delivery man showed up at the door asking for us to pay in cash. Clearly there is NO communication going on here. Yes, this place is new, but they are disorganized and offer no assistance other than to tell you "sorry, we're new"... it's not worth the confusion or time ordering from them. Decent pizza but their online ordering is a disaster. We've been charged twice for one pizza in the past. This time the call kept breaking up and going silent. After many hellos the person came back on. Finally told the online service person this was ridiculous and hung up before placing order and losing more money. Husband called the Avalon location and they gave us crap about taking order there but they would. Too bad these companies don't give a two cents about customer service anymore. Going to have to be really hungry to keep using papa John's and their online service or this location. Hope they make some changes soon. read more

Most terrible experience I've ever had with a Papa Johns !!!! My boyfriend had ordered a pizza for delivery over the phone, gave them my card number to purchase the pizza and on there end it kept declining (having money in my account) I was confused, well turns out they tried up to 11 times to continue to try and charge my card to see if it would go through. I looked at my account and seen my card was charged 3 times 22 dollars after hanging up the phone with them. My boyfriend had called them back and tried speaking to the manager, with him being very helpless I decided to drive up to the store. With very un sincere apologies from the manager, he reassured me IT HAPPENS ALOT and that I would see my money return in my account within the next day or so, already being very furious I still wanted to purchase a pizza, no discount at all or anything given for the inconvenience, my card worked and I paid 13 dollars for my pizza. I then decided to add some garlic knots that once again charged me for after that whole mess. A few days after that still have not yet to see the money in my account, the 66 dollars that was supposed to be back in. Called my bank and they don't see no card activity of the 3 transactions that got token out of my account by papa johns, I had nothing to prove it with and bank couldn't help me. Whatever you do order from somewhere else. I've given this place 4 chances and every time they have messed up my order. Below I will list out the issues I've had with this location. 1) just moved to Orlando, order papa Johns as we are unpacking and the pizza shows up 2 hours late because the store said they were sent to wrong house. Ok cool, mistakes happen. Pizza arrives cold... call store and manager sends out fresh pizza. 2) decided to give it another shot, order again. Pizza arrives, I paid with a card over the phone and I ask the young gentleman for a receipt to sign so I could tip. He said I have a bunch of receipts and I don't know which one it is, you're good don't worry about it... I ask him if he works off tips which his answer yes. Why would you not give me a receipt if YOUR money depends on it. Super shady and my mistake for not going elsewhere. Manager called and things seem to get worked out until I open my pizza and notice it was the wrong order.. 3) here we go again, ordered a pizza, showed up cold. Now I'm not one to leave reviews on places even when I've had a bad experience but 4 Chances to make it right and they can't even do that. Here we are today. 4) called to place my order and the phone rang for a good 10 minutes before someone answered. National championship day, I get you're busy, no worries. Tried to place my order with a nice young lady who just couldn't seem to get it together. I repeated my order multiple times and still was unsure if it would arrive correct. Young adults always complain that no one wants to hire them because they are young and have no experience, but when they do get hired it shows exactly why they don't get hired. They are rude and disrespectful. Ivan has no shame and no respect. I can only imagine the smart person who decided that he would be fit for such a position. If you don't like someone that does not give you the permission to say hmmm lets jack-up their pizza up and dump a bucket of oil on it. That is the childish behavior that keeps kids out of employment. Ivan, you are a poor example of leadership, and you need to step up and act like the person you are suppose to be with such a position. I would insert the picture of the pizza, but I'm not trying to ruin Papa Johns by horrifying their customers. To describe the pizza I received: It was mashed up in the box and drenched in oil so bad that it was immensely soggy. I ordered a 2 pizzas. My kids are allergic to cheese. I received the pizzas for our birthday party and one of them came with cheese and was missing a topping. I called the store and informed Phong of this and he told me i would have to wait until the next day to speak with his GM because he was afraid that if he helped me he was going to get in trouble. After explaining to phong that the pizza was missing a topping he said that i would have to speak with his GM tomorrow and hung up on me. I have been ordering pizza from papa johns for over 15 years and spent thousands of dollars with this company! It is sad to see that a company is going to lose a LONG TIME high paying customer over 1 medium pizza and a horrible store manager who does not understand how to provide good customer and who enjoys hanging up on customers.
