I ordered the pepperoni stuff crust pizza. Got halfway home and realized that it was just a stuff crust cheese pizza. We had to turn around and go back. Papa John's always deliver on fresh toppings and delicious cheese sticks. What awesome is when ordering online, you're building points towards a free pizza. There wings are ok, but I managed to still eat them and I always order extra peppers and garlic sauce. Other pizza restaurants garlic sauce is too thick for my liking, but Papa John's have it more thin which I prefer. No compliment what so ever about customer service since I always have a good experience here. read more

I've been getting pizza delivered from this location for several years now, but somehow never written a review. Time to fix that... We had some papa johns rewards that were going to expire, so we decided to order a pizza for pickup. We got some wings and one of their new papadillas - a quesdilla made of pizza dough and filled with pizza toppings. It was decent, but was a little overdone. The wings were alright. I think we'll stick with the pizza next time though. They do that well, and rarely mess up the toppings. And I always like the garlic dipping sauce that the include with their pizzas - always a nice touch. I'm sure we'll order again next time we're needing a cheat day from our diet and we're craving some pizza! read more

I ordered pizza online on a Saturday night (around 6:30PM). Peak time, right? I was supper impressed when the doorbell was ringing less than 30 mins later! I gave the driver a tip, and got ready to have dinner. Upon first bite of the pizza, I realized something was wrong. The pizza wasn't cooked all way through - the dough was still doughy and did not taste good at all. This PapaJohns is terrible. we have tried over and over to order pizzas here calling the number online and they always get our order WRONG. You always get a foreigner that cannot understand basic English. I just orderEd pizzas again tonight and had to repeat the order 4 times because the foreigner on the phone could not speak enough English to understand. when he finally finished the order, he gave me the amount and ask me if I wanted to pay by card on the phone and I told him "No"!that we would pay when we picked up the pizza. he told me to hold on and never came back. when my wife went to the store to get our order they gave us somebody else's order and did not have a record of the order I called in. I ordered delivery from this Papa Johns location in Trussville and got a medium Hawaiian pizza and cinnamon pull aparts. The food didn't take very long to arrive, everything was hot, and it tasted great. I don't eat Papa Johns often but this location always delivers good food and the service is great. Used to be my favorite delivery pizza. As of lately, deliveries are consistently two hours late. Food is cold as ice when it is delivered with no apology or explanation as to why it is so late. I placed an order for delivery lastnight and was totally disappointed. The delivery time was on point..i knew exactly where the driver was at all times. My pizza wasn't hot, the wings weren't cooked fully and I didn't receive the 2 extra garlic butter that I paid for. I called the store but was placed on hold.. i ended up just giving up and hung up. PAY ATTENTION TO THIS: there is NO non-contact delivery. I requested it and the driver would not leave my order at the door but waited until I opened the door. Update I got my free pizza after it was uncooked and it took a week for a response. I decided to give them a second chance and they failed again they gave me yet again another uncooked pizza. And I called spoke to a general manager and all they said they can do is count on their word that the next free pizza would be cooked. Never again read more

We ordered a pizza at 6pm and was told it would be about 1.5 hrs. At the 2 hour mark we called and spoke to the manager, Morgan. At this point we were told it would be another 20 minutes for the pizza to be delivered. After another 45 minutes. We called back and we're told, again by the manager Morgan, that the pizza was leaving the store at this time. Currently, it is 9:05pm and no pizza. Three hour wait and no pizza. The reason for 1 star is primarily for the customer service. The last 2 times I have called to place an order the manager, Chris, has answered. Each time he is rude and when a question is asked his response is in a tone that says "i don't have time for you." The most recent time I called to place an order was on NYE. I get the same tone. My friend goes to pick up pizza and as soon as he walks through door he is scolded saying "we closed 5 minutes ago!" When order was placed we were informed it could take approx 35 minutes, putting arrival time at the exact time he walked in door. I was sick and tired of gross pizza, then I tried Papa John's in Trussville. I'm not sure if I will ever go back to Pizza Hut or Dominos. It's not that they are that bad, its just that they aren't that great. What makes Papa Johns different in my opinion is the quality of the ingredients. The mushrooms for example are baby portabellas, instead of flavorless canned slices of fungus with a general appearance of mushroom. It's not super fancy, so don't expect to see any subterranean fungi such as truffles. However, Papa Johns seems to be in the middle of the road for quality. Its a step above Pizza Hut, but somewhere below California Pizza Kitchen, if that makes sense. It may literally be a dollar or two more than other pizza chains, but its worth it. read more

I ordered online using the app, I received an email saying my pizza would be ready in about 25 minutes. I went in the store after 30 minutes and was told that they didn't have my order. I showed them the email and verified I was at the correct store and that my bank account was pending the charge for the pizza. The manager told me I would have to go through the app to get my money back. The app and email told me to call my local store with issues. I went back in the store and was completely ignored, she literally looked past me while I was at the counter and called other names who's pizzas were ready. I then heard my name called, I got my pizza and left. After over an hour of waiting my pizza it was cold and the cheese bread was burned. I understand sometimes things go wrong but customer service was a joke and I'm sure if I had left I would have been charged for my pizza. I eat at papa johns at least once a week, I may never go to this location again. read more

I like using the online order feature. We've ordered from here before because it's my favorite pizza chain. At this particular Papa John's, the food has been consistently good. In fact, the only negative comment I have is about the parking lot, which is so tiny. If we're at my grandmother's we just have it delivered. :) read more

Driver was unable to locate my home which is strange since I order from this location weekly. He was still having trouble finding my home which was just a google maps search away and asked if I was in a new neighborhood; I wish I was so I could order from another pizza delivery. I called the store to inform them that the driver was having trouble finding my house; after being placed on hold twice I was asked for landmarks near my home. So I gave them the same street names I'd given the lost driver. The manager then stated that the driver had figured it out and was on his way. He arrived one hour later the initial 38 min estimated delivery time. The food was still warm which was a stark contrast to the customer service representatives tone at the store. I recommend that delivery drivers have updated gps systems as I've been in my home for 14 yrs or maybe they should issue the delivery drivers smart phones so that they can look up addresses efficiently. read more
