Eat local is right it had been years since I had Sanpeggio's and I remembered it being very good so a few weeks ago I decided to try them again. It was by far not at all the pizza I remember but that's a good thing it was actually way better. I remember the pizza being spicy for some reason but this time it was different. I ordered a meat lovers pizza and that's exactly what I got. This thing was loaded with meat toppings and everything was so balanced and didn't taste processed. Fresh stretchy cheese with no weird after taste and the sauce was perfect acid sweetness that I love on a pizza. The crust was very well done it was like a thin crust but wasn't I was just done so well. Light yet crispy and foldable. Get this pizza asap! 9.1/10 I also got the Limoncello cake this thing was light fluffy with the right amount of lemon flavor and the cream is to die for. Also came with what I believe were white chocolate shavings. 8/10 I highly recommend before you go to a Domino's, or Pizza Hut, or Papa John's you choose this place first. This ain't your ordinary franchise pizza restaurant, it's much better. Just from the bite of the pizza you can literally taste the freshness from the toppings. My personal favorite is the super supreme which has so many toppings you can't think of. There cheesy bread is good and they have some awesome buffalo wings. Food is great, and fresh. The people working the front are always friendly and accommodating.

I'm not sure if they have new owners or just new staff but the last couple of times I've gone to pick up pizza, the pizza has been ready when the app told me it would be ready and it was loaded with toppings. Before, it seemed as if the staff were all over the place and in the weeds a lot. Now it's a lot more calm and collected, people aren't running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Definitely makes it a nice and relaxing visit with great service and wonderful food. read more

A few weeks ago I ordered a white pizza with ham and extra cheese and it was excellent. I ordered the same pizza a week or two later and it arrived without the extra cheese. I decided to try one more time and again the extra cheese was missing. That's it. I won't buy from them again. read more

So I finally tried this place. I ordered a Supreme calzone and dinner lasagna. While waiting for the food a young employee ate his lunch and when he was done he went back to work without washing his hands. I also overheard another couple waiting say this to each other, so I wasnt the other person who noticed it. So I got my food and didn't notice until after I left the dinner lasagna did not come with a salad. Also there was more cheese than lasagna. It was good but after pulling off pounds of cheese I didn't have much left. However my major disappointment was the calzone. While looked great on appearance there was basically no meat in the filling. There was like 3 pepperoni and 3 pieces of sausage crumble while massive uncooked pieces of bellpepper took over. As much as I want to give them another try I will pass. Total waste of my money I could have just gone to publix and bought a loaf of bread, a bell peppers and a bag of cheese. read more

Cheese bread was burnt or re-heated and it was disappointing because it's usually so good. I order a large cheese bread and small salad w/ chicken added and it was over $25 so to get home and see it was burnt was like a waste of money. I was in the Trusville area and was looking for a good pizza place (non chain) and I saw this beautiful place had pretty good reviews on Yelp and plus I coupons. We decided to stop by Sanpeggio's and eat in. We ordered the half Meaty and half Dan's Spinach and Meatball. We also ordered wings( half mild and half hot). The wings came out pretty fast as our appetizer. The wings were baked in the oven which was totally fine, but they were a bit fatty. The pizza was.......not good. It looked good but lacked in taste. I hadn't had Sanpeggio's in years and was super excited to stop in because last time we had it, it was really good. I was super disappointed on this trip to the restaurant. Tonight's customer service failed. I walked in and ordered a meatball sub. 10 minutes later a family came in ordered for dine in. They got there order before me. I asked the young man about my sub and noted that I was there before them. He said they were dining in. what's that got to do with me? Then he said they got backed up. 3 minutes later my sub is ready. Got home opened the box and it was burnt and wrapped upside down with no visible cheese or sauce. I'm not going back anytime soon. Last time my experience was totally different. A young lady was running the front. At this time I wouldn't suggest going if you are looking for good customer service. read more

I ordered dinner from SanPeggio's Pizza at the Trussville location to be specific. It has become a staple in my household for the convenience and consistent quality. I never eat inside, but if I did I am sure I would enjoy the experience. The establishment is not large however the seating is not cramped together. The workers, from the cashiers to the pizza makers are extremely friendly and provide top tier customer service. If you visit a few times they will probably remember your name or order. It is a family friendly environment. The restaurant is thoroughly clean and sanitized. I ordered the pepperoni pizza on cauliflower crust which was $15.49 without tax. I wish the gluten free pizza was offered in a variety of sizes, but this issue is not unique to Sanpeggio's. I can't order a large gluten free pizza from other pizza parlors as well. The crust on the pizza was not overcooked, light and perfectly crunchy. The mozzarella cheese was fresh and had a nice pull. The pepperoni was not burnt around the edges and did not have an undesirable aftertaste like other pizza places. This restaurant has replaced Marco's as a my favorite place to get a cauliflower crust pizza. read more

I recently placed an order via UberEats and I chose the option the pickup my order. I planned accordingly that I would arrive around the estimated that my order would be complete, so I wouldn't have to wait long. I arrived approximately 5 minutes after I received the notification that my order was ready. When I approached the counter, I was informed that my order was never put in and it would take another 30 minutes. I decided to wait because I had no other choice at that time. I sat in the loft for another 30 minutes as I watch customer after costumer come in and pick up orders. I decide to reengage the worker at the register and he appeared to have no idea on what I was talking about. He called someone from the back and they said, "it will be about 5 minutes". I watched him walk to the back make my pizza. I sat at this location for almost an hour and when I finally received my order, I was told my bad. An apology at the least would have been nice. This also made me late for work, but I guess I should have placed my order 2 hours earlier. read more
