This is my second Big Wood location to visit, and overall a good experience. It's tucked away from…read morethe main drag and sits overlooking the golf course (the big, main room and connected outdoor patio both have a great view!) - but this area at least is open to the public. I was worried when we couldn't make any reservations, but we got right in - nobody was waiting, they weren't busy, but they did seem to be scrambling to find a server for us, which I thought was a little odd. After a weird start, the rest of the visit was fantastic - service was great, food was excellent, and we had a lovely time on a date night. Restrooms are on the first floor (an older review says the women's is downstairs in a creepy hallway, but this must have been renovated) and are single-occupancy and unisex, which is an interesting experience depending on who has visited before you -- this was probably the low point of the experience, that restroom could use some upkeep. Not just an unpleasant previous visitor, but structurally. For such a nice place, that part was sketchy. Definitely will be coming back overall.

Late night just isn't the right time to go in and sit and eat...

Brozinni falls into the second category. The pizza absolutely lived up to the hype. The crust had that perfect balance of crispy on the outside while staying soft and chewy inside, and every bite was loaded with toppings without feeling overdone. If you're a crust person, you'll appreciate this one. The real surprise, though? The garlic knuckles. They're buttery, loaded with garlic, and perfectly browned. Honestly, I'd have a hard time choosing between ordering another pizza or just getting a second basket of these. We stopped in on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. Our food came out quickly, and while the service was perfectly fine, it was the food that stole the show. One thing that stood out before we even sat down was the sign at the entrance welcoming everyone, regardless of who they are or where they come from. It's a small touch, but it set a positive tone for the visit and made the restaurant feel genuinely inviting. It isn't the cheapest pizza in town, but after one meal, I understood why. Sometimes paying a little more is worth it when the quality is there. I'll gladly come back for another pizza... ...but let's be honest--those garlic knuckles are already calling my name.
