This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Subway. My friend and I came in to buy a single footlong cookie -- simple, right? Somehow we were charged for two. When we noticed and came back to get it fixed, the woman behind the counter -- a short Latina employee -- gave us nothing but attitude and disrespect. She didn't even try to listen. We were barely two words in before she cut us off and acted like we were the problem. When we asked for a refund, she suddenly had no clue what we were talking about. Just blank stares and zero effort to understand or help. No apology, no explanation -- just straight-up rudeness and indifference. She had absolutely no expression, no basic customer service skills, and definitely no business working in any kind of public-facing role. If you're going to deal with customers, at least act like you care. She couldn't even do that. This place is a joke. Don't waste your money or time. Go literally anywhere else. read more

If you have a big event coming up (graduations, reunions, sporting events, etc.) I highly recommend Subway on 164th! Gani and his crew were a delight to work with on a catering order we had this past weekend. I had questions so I went in store to order, instead of ordering online. Of course you could order online too. The staff answered all my questions and Gani threw in some extra perks as well. The order was done on time and the staff gladly loaded everything into my car. My order consisted of six Easy Order Sandwich Platters and four Veggie Delight footlong sandwiches. Even though my event was in Everett, I wanted to support our local business. Went to Subway sandwich @ 12660 164th Ave SE (Doofers parking lot). I normally do not go to either of the 2 restaurants owned by this owner because of his way of making sandwiches with limited vegetables. Granted it has been many years, but because it is close and I had a coupon from my Albertson's receipt I went there. Upon arrival I told them I had the coupon and both ladies pointed to a sign that said which sandwiches were allowed. This is HIS coupon, it only has the two exclusions, see picture. We wanted the BMT's and I told her the coupon does not exclude all the sandwiches. She told me he's the owner and he makes the rules. Again, this is HIS coupon On the list of the BOGO is a spicy Italian and I figured that was close enough to what I wanted. They made my sandwiches but when I went to pay I gave them my coupon they took it. She tried to key some things into the cash register, and both women conferred, turned to me and said there are only two sandwiches on that coupon and my sandwich is not one of them. I pointed to the sign and said you told me that was a sandwich that was a BOGO. She said there's nothing I can do. It's not one of the choices in the register. I told her she can keep them, and I walked out. When I got into my car I saw a sheet of Subway coupons. I was going to pay $17.99 for 2 foot-long's at his restaurant that wasn't exactly what I wanted. The coupon I had in the car was two foot-long sandwiches for $12.99 with the sandwiches I wanted at another location. I will never go to the one on 164th ever again. read more

The owner at this location has always been such a nice guy to me. Out of all of the subways that I go to this one is by far the best. I have been very disappointed with the ones over in the Fairwood area and I go out of my way to go here. The bread is always fresh and the sandwich is always done right. Too bad Zero stars isn't an option. We placed an order online at this location. We have often ordered here before, it is in the same complex as our ice rink frequent several times a week for hockey. But never again. We arrived after the given time so that our order would be ready to go. Restaurant was in need of some cleaning, this should've been our first clue to dine elsewhere. The lady behind the counter looked annoyed by us even being there and was extremely rude right away when we asked about our order. Stating "I'M WORKING ON IT" After waiting for 10 minutes, now 35 minutes past our "time for pick up", we went home with our sandwiches. When we went to eat our sandwiches, my wife discovered a long dark hair in the sandwich she had ordered. Obviously grossed out and a little disappointed she called to politely ask for a refund. She was met on the phone with the same rude employee, demanding proof of the hair in the sandwich. My wife was unable to finish a sentence without being interrupted and yelled at. The very angry employee accused us of lying and said something in a different language and hung up the phone. Resulting in us having to go back to the location and speak with this lady face to face and get our refund. Upon arrival my wife told her she had brought the sandwich like she had requested. The employee grew angry, grabbed the sandwich and threw it in the garbage. Then proceeded to aggressively pull her own hair down and demonstrate that her hair is long and began insisting that my wife put the hair in the sandwich herself. Upon requesting to speak with the manager or get a phone number to a manager we were met with a stern NO! After refusing to give a refund she ended up calling the manager herself. He asked to speak with my wife. He was very professional. He admitted this was not the first complaint regarding this employee. He also refunded our order. Do not waste your time at this store. Had sandwich made and stood at cash register for 15 minutes as employee could not figure out how to work the machine. After 15 minutes basically was told to leave. Didn't offer to give me the already made sandwich and was snotty with me because I was annoyed. Ordered a very simple sandwich from Subway just vegetables and pepperoni only received half of the vegetables no cheese no lettuce. When I called later to get a refund the man argued with me that it was made right and even proceeded to ask for a photo of the sandwich. I have no complaints about the sandwiches at this Subway, but I do have a complaint about the pricing: for some sandwiches, this Subway charges an extra $.50 for spinach. Its not a lot, but its irritating - especially since its not applied to all sandwiches equally. Nor is the extra charge listed on the menu board. While I might stop here again for the spinach-at-no-charge sandwiches, on the whole I think this Subway's management is making a bad decision, and I will likely find other Subways to patronize. read more

I ordered a sandwich online and it had no vegetables even tho the picture had vegetables. It was misleading and very disappointing.

This is the worst Subway I have ever ordered food from that is close by my house. When I say I want everything on it that is what I mean and three times now they only put lettuce, pickle and jalapeño peppers on it with no mayonnaise or anything else I asked them for. I have to add it later when I get home because this Lazy Bunch that works at this store suck really bad and I am sick of their careless and non caring customer service. Don't order here if you want a good sandwich with all the extras on it that you asked for, that is only a hands reach for them to grab up and put on your sandwich. I should not have to keep telling them to put everything on it and open it up at home to see they hardly put anything on it and when it's missing the mayonnaise that is getting really bad. What sandwich on the most part don't have mayo, mustard or ketchup on it? Not too many won't ask for mayonnaise, etc; but a few health food nuts, so that is a real screw up on their part three times in a row. I'm glad I can make a better tasting sandwich than they can when I have the basics they only gave me which was a bun, meat, lettuce, pickles and jalapeño peppers. Where was the mayo, olives, tomato, vinegar and oil I have asked for. I made it simple. I said put everything on it that is behind the counter. How hard is that to understand? I have no problems with this Subway! For several reasons. One is that it's in unincorporated King County, thus lower sales tax than if you are in the city. Next, all REGULAR sub sandwiches are $5 for a footlong after 4pm, Monday through Saturday. Lastly, all day Sunday, all REGULAR sub sandwiches are $5! Can't beat that! If you live in the area of East Renton it's convenient as you don't have to head into the city limits for a quick bite! Love it! read more

It was a nice quiet day with just Happy and me so I was out and about and decided I didn't want to dig around at home so I stopped by the Teriyaki place but they were closed. I am not sure about the spinach charge Lyn is talking about, but I always come in here and ask for handfuls of olives and they happily give it to me. I've been to other subways where the employees scowl at you and charge extra for the olives but never had a problem here. Even if they did, I wouldn't mind since this is the cheapest subway in renton. Everything is $5 after 4pm! read more
