Still... I chose Evergreen because it is a family run business whose patriarch worked for the Department of Forestry. Who would know evergreens better? The atmosphere and experience were similar to most tree farms I've visited. You hop on a wagon or walk to the field of trees. It was a beautiful day so I made the short walk. When I got to the field, however, I wasn't sure what to do next. A wagon full of people had arrived minutes before me and apparently the staff was already helping them, hence there was no one to guide me. After a few minutes, though, I approached someone who looked as if he worked there. He told me that all the saws had been claimed so I just needed to wait a few minutes until one was returned. As I walked through the field I was disappointed to find that very few trees were proportional and pretty enough to be a Christmas tree. After about an hour I just picked one, even though only one side of it was suitable, figuring I would put the bad side against a wall. I didn't feel like waiting for the wagon to return so I dragged the tree back to the main area to purchase. Once I got there though, again, there was no one to instruct me. I finally figured out on my own (and after asking other customers) that I had to drop my tree at the shaker-thing, go inside the building to pay, then retrieve my tree elsewhere. The line inside snaked through the building. Only one cashier, so it took forever. When I got back outside I figured out where to retrieve my tree. The man who helped me (the aforementioned patriarch, I believe) was the only one doling out trees and he didn't seem very happy about it. After twenty futile minutes of trying to do it alone, I finally asked the patriarch if someone could help me get the tree on the roof of my car. A young kid obliged but didn't offer to help tie it, so I did it myself, driving home no faster than 40 mph and still stopping every 5 miles to readjust the tree to keep it from falling off the roof. Up until this point, few issues were the fault of the tree farm. (These places are DIY and rather intuitive, so direction need only be minimal.) But when I got the tree home and cut off the ties, I was shocked to see needles fall all over the floor. We pulled out clumps of needles and dead branches for days. The shaker-thing clearly had not done its job. The tree was more disproportionate and had more spots than I had noticed at the farm. Overall I think we did a decent job hiding them. But next year, we may have to drive to North Carolina for our tree. :)

All around bad. Anniversary flowers ordered on their website on a Friday, which provided me a…read moredelivery window option for Saturday between 11am - 3pm (and received an e-mailed confirmation). The flowers do not arrive on Saturday. I leave a voice message Saturday at 3:30 pm, no response on Monday. Tuesday, I go the store ask for a refund, and am told they can't find the order, and they are closed on Saturday. I am asked to forward my e-mail receipt to an e-mail address, which I do (having the staff member confirm the e-mail is correct). 48 hours later, I've still received no phone calls or e-mails, and thus I've just disputed the charge with my credit card. No apologies provided to the Mrs., either. I've used them twice a year for a couple years as the Mrs. has been pleased with the flowers, and I've tolerated some minor issues (slightly late deliveries and somewhat comically, mylar balloons not being delivered for three separate orders, which has become a running joke). All that said, they don't seem particularly bothered that I haven't received my flowers or refund -- but I am. Good riddance!

My husband had flowers delivered by Park Crest to my office and I was disappointed in the arrangement. It looked nothing like the photo my husband chose online and were wilting and damaged. I left a message and they called me back promptly with apologies and offered me a new bouquet! Even asked if I would like a different one so that I had a holiday center piece! I was ecstatic to have the option, noting to the woman on the phone that she was doing me a huge courtesy. They delivered them 2 days later. Great! Things got weird when they asked me to bring back the large vase that my original arrangement came in. The new arrangement was much smaller. They did offer to have their driver pick it up. I ended up dropping it off instead. This is were I decided to change my review. The two women I was thanking ended up laughing and insulting me. I explained that my co-worker was a florist at Whole Foods and received a RUDE response of laughing and comments about how quote, "That isn't a florist". They went on for long enough that I felt very awkward. This maybe how they feel about corporate flower arrangers but that needs to stay behind the scenes and not be passed along to me. They seem like a well established business and likely don't care about losing my business. Flowers cost a lot of money and should come with joy not gritted teeth.

Extremely poor customer service. The bridal bouquet I received was not what I ordered, the…read moreadditional cake flowers I paid for were nonexistent, and when I called Posey after the wedding to express my disappointment, Bonnie acted like she could care less. I went back and forth via email with Posey regarding my bridal bouquet prior to my wedding, outlining in great detail what I was looking for - namely, a medium-sized cascading/waterfall bouquet with various flowers. The invoice from Posey even says "Bridal bouquet with cascading greenery-$250". However, when I arrived at my venue on my wedding day, the bouquet that awaited me was definitely not cascading. It was beautiful, yes, and I was sure to let Bonnie know I appreciated that on the phone, but it was simply not what I paid for. She proceeded to argue that it WAS in fact, cascading (see the picture and decide for yourself), that I had only paid for a "standard" bouquet anyway, and that my bouquet was based on the picture I provided, which wasn't cascading... (See what she did there? Zero accountability, no matter what.) What was the point of all those emails if they were only going to reference one picture?? The picture I provided was only to illustrate the type of flowers and colors I wanted, which I clearly stated in my emails to Posey. Also, I paid for extra cake flowers, since I increased the size of my cake a few months before the wedding. There ended up being only one large flower between the two tiers, and a couple of small flowers beside it and on top. Look at the picture and tell me that was worth $55. When I asked her what happened, she blamed the lack of flowers on the baker, even though I specifically asked Posey to place the flowers. When I asked her what they did with all the extra flowers I paid for if they didn't end up on the cake, she said they put them in my bouquet. (An obvious lie...the cake flowers' stems would have already been removed.) Bonnie's response to all this was that if I had called on my wedding day, they would have come to the venue and "fixed" it. I'm sorry, but who tf calls their vendor an hour before they're about to walk down the aisle?? It was already too late. She wrapped up our lovely conversation by asking me what the point of my call was... All in all, I found Bonnie's honesty and professionalism sorely lacking. I realize I am not a "big fish" customer, but it was my wedding day, and I explained in great detail what I wanted. Look elsewhere if you want a florist who actually cares about bringing your vision to life.
