We had my son's 8th birthday party at Papa's pizza yesterday, and it was FABULOUS! We did not do the birthday package, just the pizza party. They had our tables ready and marked, the staff was ready to get us anything we needed, and they started us a tab so that we could worry about it all at the end! Like most Papa Pizza joints, the thin crust pizza here is quite good. What is striking about this location is it seems to be a local hangout for many high school teams or little league gatherings. Forget about the salad buffet as the items didn't seem that fresh but the pizza is what its all about. Prices can be a bit up there for the students in the area, but not bad considering the size of the pie. Great place to catch some warm food on an Oregon rainy night. read more

I love the pizza here, our go to! I recently fell in love the original sandwich. Always reliable and friendly deliver drivers hands down the best delivery crew in town. The very best cheese bread in town also. But a little bird just told me they are switching to frozen bread for bread sticks and cheese bread. Okay I'm giving this place 5 stars because they've been very friendly and fast every time I've gone. The food is pretty darn good. The pizza isn't the best pizza in the universe but the wings and salads are great. I love the Italian salad dressing. The wings actually have meat on them and are not just all breading. Pizza is good love how it's crunchy on the bottom wish they would use all fresh ingredients when making their pizzas though and not charge extra to use fresh mushrooms over canned! Busy on weekends. Hard to find a table because of many, many birthday parties. People tend to stay for a long time because they can drink beer and let their kids run around in the play room for hours. The pizza was sadly the quality expected of a place that caters to children. The salad bar looked good, but I didn't partake. They do sell beer by the pitcher and have a very friendly woman watching the kids in the play area, keeping them out of too much trouble. It is a great destination when it is pouring rain and you need to get your kids out of the house, but it is not a dining destination. read more

Papa's pizza. A cut above the fast food chains, but I wouldn't go here over Woodstock's or Cirello's. Their only real appeal for me is the lunch buffet, and I don't really eat enough to make it worth it for me very often. The pizza itself is ok. The crust is palatable, but is a little too bready for my taste. The toppings are usually pretty fresh. The main thing I don't get from the pizza's here is the personal touch of a real mom and pop pizza place. Also, I find the pizza from Papa's does not reheat very well. Tastes good, but not $100 for three large pizzas good. Hawaiian was mostly Canadian bacon and cheese, very little pineapple. Pepperoni was sparse 9n the pepperoni pizza. Wow a nightmare of epic proportions. I didn't think you could screw up pizza this bad. I went there for a quick to go pizza for the first time with my boyfriend. First of all, it was LOUD in there. Not like crowded and full of children and you have an expected level of noise, but for some reason the acoustics were so amazingly poor, I couldn't hear a thing -- everything was amplified. Then, the menu was impossible to find and the not-too-excited-to-be-there girl taking my order was basically whispering, so placing my order was a nightmare. The wait was average, so nothing bad there. But then the pizza was just awful. People seriously here are saying it is "above average"? I'm scared to try any other pizza places in town if this is above average! We ordered the round house pizza: it basically consisted of an inch of bread, barely enough sauce to even taste it, super low quality thin sliced canadian bacon, sparse ground beef, and raw slices of super low quality tomatoes (flavorless, light red colored). WOW. This was some of the most disappointing food I had ever had. And $14 for a dinky little small pizza? Holy crap. Forget it. read more

It's a nice change to get a different kind of pizza delivered rather than just Pizza Hut or Pipeline or Cirello's (when they feel like it). The combination pizza is really good-thick crust with single toppings on each square. The only complaint is the delivery guy always wears a weird white outfit that kind of makes him look like a butcher or a murderer. Pay no mind, the pizza is good. Had wonderful phone customer service, and were very accommodating with food allergies and honestly better business practices than any other allergy friendly options in town. I like both thick and thn crust pizzas and I think Papa's has one of the better thin crust pizzas in town. The lunch buffet is reasonably priced and can offer a variety of toppings/combos/flavors that you'd normally not try. They do take requests if they're reasonable. The whole pizzas themseleves are a little pricer than what a college student would probably spring for but definitely a higher quality. A large has about 16 thin slices, but feeds 3-4 easily and the pizza makes for great leftovers/breakfast the next day. Several other great pluses are: it's locally owned/managed and they support the community. There's a huge kid's play area which is great for families and kids events. They cater, and offer groups the opportunity to reserve one of a couple of large rooms for events. read more

We have been regular customer ( ordering 1-3x a month ) for the last 3 years. Little mishaps here and there but tonight was the be final straw. Placed order was told 45-75 min, which is normal. An hour and half later no delivery, call to check status and Gracie starts with we're down a counter person. Then she doesn't see our order, puts me on hold and upon return to states it's on the truck with 4 other orders. If you don't have it in another 45-60 minutes call back. I literally live less than 2 miles from the location. I informed her if it took two hours or later ngwr I was done, her response ok that's fine . Exactly two hours and it's finally here the delivery driver is demanding his tip, I tell him let the manager that this was our last order , he replied with that's fine no biggie have a great night. Go look at reviews on thier Facebook page I'm not the only one disgusted with the way thier employees lack customer service skills and manners. My wife and I have gotten the lunch buffet a few times for a Friday lunch escape from the office, and ordered a pizza a couple times now. I can honestly say the pizza is... fine. They have a couple creative combos and the lunch buffet is a great deal when you want to stuff your face, but on several occasions the sauce and especially the olives have had a very unpleasant metallic taste. 6 months ago we got a 1-topping with just olives and it was gnarly enough that we haven't been there since. The ball pen is obviously a huge draw for parents. I'd be willing to go again with friends or with someone with kids. It's just not our first choice as a couple without kids. read more

The best restaurant for families. The play area has been epically fun since I went there as a kid, and now I'm taking my own children. My favorite time to go is for the lunch buffet, so we don't have to fight over which toppings to get. The pizzas have a great, thin crust and slightly spicy sauce. The toppings are fresh. My daughter is always talking about this pizza parlor, likely because her school does promotional fundraising with it, and all of her classmates who have birthday parties here; which she loves attending. The pizza is alright, is is not the best pizza I have ever had, although it is not the worst; it has a bread flavor (the crust) as opposed to a pizza dough flavor we got a cheese pizza and a vegetarian, I asked for light mushrooms and I should have asked for light olives so I am not holding that against the pizza place, overall it was good for a vegetarian pie, I did not try the cheese it was for the kids. The cheesey bread was not the greatest thing to be honest. My daughter seems to enjoy it though, she also enjoys the playroom here, which is staffed by one individual and a little drafty in the winter time; the employee told me that this was due to an attempt to keep the noise from the main pizza parlor. I felt bad for this employee, she was left to watch A LOT of small children, who of course were not following the rules, she kept trying to give multiple warnings, instead of kicking them out. Now this aspect is more for the PARENTS and not so much this business because the business is clearly doing their job by putting an employee in there to enforce the rules, who is clearly going out of her way to be nice and let your children stay in here. PARENTS need to keep and eye on their children, not just let them go into the playroom and run, scream, crash into others, fight with one another, and beg others for quarters. Frankly it is disturbing that you would not come and check on your children a least once, this is a playroom not a daycare facility. Back to the pizza parlor, it is nicely set up, the salad bar is easily accessible, things overall are set up to prevent crowding which is always a nice thing. Just know if you come here late at night the staff likes to play around and it's fun to vibe with. However when one is irritated it starts a domino affect, one of the cashiers was acting really rude and brought it out. If you have kids this is also a great spot for little ones to run around and burn off a lot of energy. I went to Papa' this evening to try their gluten-free pizzas. Salad bar wasn't much though. But you can order a 10 or 12 inch gf pizza with most any toppings you'd like. They were very busy this evening after the OSU game, so wait time was a while. I have to say, while i liked the crust and the fact that it wasn't dusted in corn meal, i was a touch disappointed in the overall taste. It was quite bland, and took salt, lots of parmesan and some chili flakes to get some flavor. I will probably try them again before deciding if the cost is worth it and if they were having an off night. read more

Ordered online for a delivery of two orders of their chicken strips and wedges meal. Delivered 55 minutes later, which they said it would take about an hour. Opened up the orders and I had 12 chicken strips with chips. I am not really sure how they would screw that up. read more

The food is good quality. I'm not a big fan of their prices to portions though. For 4 very small tenders, not great fries for $7.30 so I was sad about that. But the small pizzas we ordered were well cooked, tons of toppings and good crust. I ordered for delivery, they were here within 40 minutes which was great so overall I'm happy but not the price.
