So Friendly and welcoming and offering to help! This place is bigger inside than I thought, looking from outside Lots of selection for meat. Japan A5 wagyu is $70 per lb! Lots of wine and liquor too. Also has special events, check flyers near door What a cool place

Fun meat shop with time to chill while scoping for the proper meat. LOL. Great selection of meats and wine. Chilling on a leisure Saturday afternoon with GF after lunch with a glass of wine or two in a meat market. What a great concept. Not only do they have great meat, they have ample selection of wines, liquors, and meat. One shop does all.

I should have asked what's in the meat blend for their burger patties because it was the best patties my wife, friends and I ever had this weekend. I made a fairly straightforward burger but the patty was the clear winner in terms of flavor & quality. Their baby backs are nothing short of spectacular and that was a hit too. I'm so thankful to have a butcher shop like Pape so nearby! Edit: I just ate a 'special' sausage (likely pork) and it's one of the best sausages I've had. Incredibly juicy and flavorful without being overly salty or over seasoned. A quick boil and pan-fry method did the trick.

Went ahead and grabbed a roast for Christmas Eve dinner, did not disappoint! Looking forward to keeping the tradition going even further into the future.

I have been going to Pape meat for a couple of years now. I usually grab chicken from there, probably the best place to grab chicken or beef (and possibly some seafood). They can always debone any of the meat. Service is always friendly and quick there. Usually there are lines to get beef, especially around holidays but chicken side is usually quick :) They even have beef fat and duck fat there

How much per lb and what kind of A5 wagyu do you carry?

Ribeye, New York, rib cap, tenderloin and short rib are the regulars. They range from $69-$109. We occasionally bring in other off cuts. Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Hokkaido are the main regions we source from

Yes. We will happily season to order for you

    Do you offer beef Wellington?

We offer the center cut tenderloin but not the completed Wellington

Unfortunately no. We have the same chop just without the long bone

    Do you have turkey tails?

We do not. I don’t have any recommendations for alternate businesses either. I’m sorry. We do generate a decent amount of tails off our cooked turkeys during the week of thanksgiving if that helps

Hey there! Do you happen to post your inventory online? I don't see a website link or menu, but do you happen to post it on social media or other platforms?…

They have the sides of beef and can cut a steak any size you like, extra thiccccccc or thin.

Will they accept EBT card for pay?

We are not currently set up for EBT cards.

Are we suppose to tip the butchers?

You can but it is not expected. We are paid to be here and love what we do. That is generally enough compensation. Thank you for being a customer!

How long should I bake the lamb chops?

Using a digital instant-read meat thermometer, check the temperature of chops while on the grill. The chops are rare at 120°F, medium rare at 125°F, medium at 130°F, and well done at 145°F and higher. Lamb can take on a gamey flavor when cooked past… Read more

Do I need to call in advance for some dry aged beef steak?

Pape generally has some dry aged beef on hand, usually 21 or 28 days. You can order a whole subprimal (think a 22lb ribeye) and they will dry age it as long as you like.

What's in your rack of lamb rub?

*this review is from a DoorDash order*…read more Ordered three sandwiches for my family and I! We got the magic trip tip, the sleeper, and the Bruno. All sandwiches were about 7inches. The tri tip was definitely the best of the bunch! A good amount of meat and was flavorful/warm. Unfortunately, the other two sandwiches were very disappointing. Both came out super tough/hard bread (we got sourdough). It was towards the end of the day, so that could have been the reason. The other issue was that my sandwich, the Bruno was supposed to come with salami, but it didn't come with any. Would try again, but go in store this time to make sure everything is made correctly.

It was a buffet luncheon of prime rib, salmon, rigatoni pasta, vegetable medley and a cake dessert which the club provided. There was one tray of each food therefore we were limited to one piece or scoop to each person. The food was a little chintzy as it was half a slice of prime rib and small chunks of salmon. We were able to offer a second helping of rigatoni and prime rib. The prime rib was A little fatty but was tender. I enjoyed The salmon even thought it was small and not overcooked. I think the restaurant could have made up for this if they added bread and butter and perhaps a salad. We were able to stay, mingle and dance in that private room for the entire afternoon which was an added bonus. Everyone had a good time and the staff cut and plated the cake for all. Friends, myself, the non-profit I invest time with have all had the Trex Miyazaki Wagyu and to a T have all pronounced it a most special experience in beef. Last time I cooked up some, Mark advised that I cut it into big pieces, simply sea salt and fresh ground pepper season, sear (do not use any oil) in a VERY hot cast iron pan, cut into bite size pieces with simple dipping sauces. Or tartare, nigiri style, a little bit goes a long way. Regaled of tales of visits to Miyazaki to visit the meat in motion, steers are comfortably two to a corral, daily beers, massage and happy cows make incredibly marbled steaks.
