I was kinda scheduling a home not that day BUT one day. Inside was very well organized. (some AR going on in there). There were all sorts of paper of all sorts of colors, hues, textures, and samples and samples OF samples. But, I did not see a single home. Weird. By then we had to focus and communicate our wishes The ladies were as delightful as a Southern Belle on her "Coming out" ceremony. They really helped us and were the architects of these invitations. Every deadline, they met. Reliable and courteous! Somehow there was once a small glitch in a conversation and they willingly (no coercion) corrected the mistake. What a nice little modern stationary store! Wouldn't have found this spot without the Yelp app, as its tucked into a plaza I rarely go by. Store organizes display cards by occasion (anniversary, birthday, wedding, birth, etc) and has plain note cards/envelopes organized by color. Quirky cute style of cards and products is reminiscent of what you'd find on Etsy or Pinterest. In addition to the cards, Paper & Home also has some small gifts and fragrances available for purchase. Besides the walk-in sales, they also do design and special order invitations, such as for weddings or events. This is a 2 star company and a 1 star experience. I was told that the process would take 5 days, that my design would work as is, and that it would only cost a certain amount. After 3 weeks the pamphlets came in, I was charged $85 more than originally agreed upon, and the font was changed on two of the paragraphs. Rather than offer any sort of recompense, they threw the final approval back at me and said it's not their fault. Sorry but I had already approved a previous revision that they later told me needed to be revised. The only thing swapped out was the photos. The font was changed accidentally. I'm an extremely busy person and shouldn't need to review things more than once. It's easy for this company to offer us SOMETHING for this mishap. We're not asking for much and want a long term relationship with a print shop. read more

What a professional duo! I met with Brooke several weeks back in regard to wedding invites. She was incredibly professional, friendly and creative. Our ideas were all over the place but she was able to narrow things down resulting in us leaving with HUGE smiles and a ton of reassurance. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we were not able to continue business with them. This was completely our fault, as we waited until the last minute to order invites. Brooke and Michael are perfectionists when it comes to their work and are a smaller business. As we all know, perfection tends to take more time than your average run-of-the-mill work. They were very cool with our cancellation and even agreed to reimburse us for a huge chunk of the down payment we made (even though we signed a contract stating otherwise) which was deeply appreciated. I waited a few days to write this because I didn't want to write it when I was angry and let it cloud my opinion. But after a few days I still feel the same. Just not happy with the experience! It took waaaaaay longer then I was told and that I expected. They did have a death in the family and I'm so sorry for that, that's something you can't control, so you were closed for a few extra days! Totally understandable! Buuuut you are also a business which means now you're behind and your trying to catch up! Which means now you may have to be open on days that you are usually closed! Because you have clients that are expecting their invitations!! Which means now you have to do anything you can! Which can be something like expediting shipping from the print house!! Which yes may have to come out of your pocket! But when you run a business it's things like that! That make up your customer service!! Instead of your half ass apology that "sorry it might be here late tonight or maybe tomorrow morning because it's not rushed" now clearly I'm irritated at this point, trying not to show it, but I'm sure I failed, it's all in my tone on the phone, but of course there's nothing I can do. I was still pretty adamant/a little frantic about saying I didn't really think they'd take this long, and I need to get these invites out. So I was told I'd get a phone call once they came! Again I was told either tonight (which was Wednesday) or tomorrow morning(which was Thursday). I waited for a phone call Wednesday and then all day Thursday, and nothing! So finally Friday at around 1:00pm I decided to call!! And low and behold they are there! I realize I'm not the only client you have, but if I've called multiple times to express my concerns and worry about not getting them In time, then you could at least try and take my worry and concern into consideration. Maybe this is the first time something like this has happened, where you've had to be closed extra days and you just didn't know how to catch up. I obviously hope you don't experience that again, but just in case you do. I really hope you guys do a better job then this time. I will say everyone liked the invitations, which is why I'm giving you 3 stars. Personally I can't fully appreciate them because of my irritation with the last few weeks of this process. But I will be completely honest. Up until the situation, everything was going great, very nice people, nice to work with! But unfortunately because of how bad the last few weeks were and how "Beth" in particular just didn't really seem to care about my frustration, and didn't offer anything really, Not even a genuine apology or anything of the sort, I would not use this business again. From the very beginning we had problems with Paper and Home. My initial appointment was rescheduled due to waiting 45 minutes while another client ran late, which was fine, things happen. I had to leave so I informed Beth I would call to reschedule. Due to this Kaide left me a message stating she would offer me 30% off all services. When we decided on the invitations she mistakenly gave me 20% the whole bill and I told her the voicemail said 30% and she fixed it immediately. However I also had a 20% coupon for only the save the date cards from an expo. I said I wasn't sure if I could use both and she said I could and all was said and done. I was very surprised she would let me use both and even mentioned that! But once I went to pick up the save the dates and pay the balance they refused to give me the additional 20% and said that I was confused because it was one or the other. She thought I was talking about the percentages she messed up on for the appointment issue. It wasn't worth continuing to argue over. The billing paper I was given was a joke and should have been redone by Kaide before I left since their own paperwork confused them. They definitely need to improve the billing and paperwork. It would avoid a lot of upset people and when you tell a customer something, honor it! Unfortunately what irritated me the most was that we discussed trees on my invites/save the dates, specifically we talked about the tree trunks but when they gave me the first draft it was some eluclyptis leaves from their stock images. They didn't put any effort into it. Stressing out, my fiancé and I drew up a rough draft and brought it in for their graphic artist. (This was all things I had hoped I would get help with by hiring them!) What finally sealed the deal for me giving them 1 star was the lack of care. When I went to inquire about my guest list addresses they said they needed to send me the template. Well if I've been talking to you about finalizing my last draft for my invite and ordered a hard proof already why wouldn't you have sent that to me a week ago? Or long before that for that matter. The invitations were very late due to every step getting delayed because of this or that. Every little thing I felt I had to fight them on. I hired someone in person to avoid all these issues and get hands on help but I choose the wrong company! My invitations were the most important thing for our wedding with my fiancé being a mailman we wanted to put everything into them. I am very disappointed and wish I had thought twice before handing them the deposit! In my opinion their employees need to be more proactive and take some responsibility for their actions. I didn't get any effort out of anyone until I demanded it and still they would find every excuse to blame anyone but themselves. read more

We were fortunate enough to meet Michael and Brooke at one of the many wedding conventions held in Las Vegas. When I saw their work, I knew instantly that we couldn't work with anyone else. Throughout the past year, we have worked with them on many projects related to our wedding: -Save the Dates: these were personalized as part of their "couture" package, and I couldn't thank Brooke more for her attention to detail and creativity in helping our concept come to life. This included a personalized envelope as well. -Wedding Invitations: we used one of the card designers they work with, but they helped us conceptualize a Las Vegas cityscape and helped us with our wording. This order also included a personalized envelope wrap. -Table Numbers: we copied a scheme they had done before where the table numbers were playing cards, but put our own spin on it -Favors/Table Card: we purchased these dollar Vegas card decks you can buy in bulk in downtown. Brooke designed a card wrap for it using our theme and we were also able to weave in a way for the favor to have a "code" as to what meal that person should be getting for our seated dinner. -Seating Chart: in line with our other decor, they worked with us to provide a seating chart for the reception. They provide a very useful spreadsheet to help keep us organized and were very flexible with all the changes I had to made due to guests that kept on changing their mind. -Drink Cards: They helped us create a drink menu for a bride's drink and groom's drink, again, fitting with our theme. -Groom's Card: When I was dropping by the shop to pick up an order, I saw a "To My Groom" card on the shelves. I had 2 Hallmark cards at home that I was planning on giving my fiance, but the card they had was much more simple and elegant, so I snatched it up. I asked them if my fiance had noticed these cards. They slyly said no because... -Bride's Gift: ... it turns out they helped my now-husband with his gift to me! Brooke helped design a booklet using a story that my now-husband wrote to describe a love story. So, if you can't tell already, we are big fans of their work! Utilizing them for a majority of the projects we had allowed our wedding items to be cohesive in theme and color. We even relied on them to recommend a lot of other vendors - they referred us to a great makeup artist/hair vendor (One Luv Bridal) and helped us decide on our photo booth vendor (ShutterBooth). They had worked with ShutterBooth in the past and were able to provide our exact wedding colors to them when we were designing our photobooth prints. I really only wish that we used them for our Thank You cards, because writing thank you cards myself has really dragged on. Personally, I really appreciate the time they took to get to know us as a couple because our personalities really showed through everything they designed for us. We got so much amazing feedback on all the projects we did with them and I'm looking forward to working with them in the future! I think I won't even consider having kids until I can sort out what type of baby announcement we can do with Paper & Home :D read more
