Good stuff: beef was beefy and the nachos had toppings throughout. Bad stuff: you need to get past TSA and be flying through Dallas Fort Worth airport to eat there. read more

Pappasito's Cantina - Awesome nachos...what is missing is someone to share them with. I could not finish, but soo good. - Tex-Mex Near Me - Grapevine, Texas

Waiting for our flight, we decided to grab a margarita and some chips & salsa (and of course, queso!) Realizing we were still hungry, we split a Chicken Quesadilla. We were very pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty the food was, and the margarita was big and strong...yes! This wasn't just good for "airport food", it was genuinely good! Only downfall, it's fairly pricey for tex-mex. With that said, we felt it was worth it. If I'm ever flying out of this terminal again, I will make a point to visit Pappasito's. read more

I stopped by here as when I had a layover to Austin. I saw the good reviews on Yelp so we decided to stop on by. It was major lunch time so they were super busy, but we were able to get in within a reasonable amount of time. We were sat at the bar since they couldn't find a table that was big enough for 3 people at the time. The staff was friendly and attentive. The gave us chips and salsa to get us started until we ordered. All of us in the group agreed that they chips/salsa tasted funny, more the salsa than the chips. It left a horrible, vomit-type after taste in my mouth so we decided to just eat the chips and leave the salsa alone. I ended up ordering the superior plate that came with a taco, enchilada, and a tamale. I've heard so much about the great Mexican food the state of Texas offers but the food was just alright (yeah I know it's airport food). It wasn't horrible but I wasn't blown away. The taco came with nothing in it except for chicken (which I was confused on). The tamale and the enchilada was tasty though. Our waiter seemed a bit frazzled and kept forgetting some of the stuff we asked for (drinks/refills/etc.) and the staff was constantly bumping into us to get past us and into the bar. Anyways maybe we came on an off day or I just came in with too high expectations, but I might give it another chance when I'm back in the area. They take credit cards but I don't recommend for larger groups. read more

Ate here during a layover and was pleasantly surprised. Best food I have had in DFW. airport Worth going to Terminal A and seeking out if you have time. Fajitas were pretty good. This is a 'local' chain, with the only Pappasito outside Texas in Atlanta I think. They people who own this also own Pappadeaux and a few other restaurants. read more

The service here is excellent. I went to the to-go side because I was in a hurry to catch a flight and the female taking orders was fabulous. I asked for no pico because I hate cilantro and she immediately asked if I wanted something to replace it, offering extra guac, jalepenos, etc. When my burrito came, she offered salsa and I asked for hot salsa. She said they didn't have it in the front but she would bring me a special side of it from the back. And boy was that hot salsa spicy, just the way I like it. The chicken burrito itself wasn't the best burrito I've ever had, but for an airport, it was pretty good. It was just a little lacking in flavor. I think if they flavored up their chicken a little more, that would do the trick. I didn't go into the bar area, but it looked like quite the happening place for a Thursday at 12:30 pm. Worth a stop in there for a drink if you have the time. read more

Flew out to Reno and hubby and I were early, so we stopped in for a bit. Super fast service; however they don't have chips and hot sauce in the morning....what? Why not? Seriously? Anyway, neither of us were hungry enough for a $10+ breakfast dish, so we each had a margarita and left. Shame they didn't have chips because we probably would have had two pre-flight cocktails each if we could have had munchies. No idea about the lunch and dinner menus, but I bet they have chips then! read more

Dropped in here for lunch during our layover. I liked that the hostess asked for our boarding time so we wouldn't be late. Nice atmosphere, good chips and salsa, did not feel like we were inside an airport. Ample menu for an airport. I ordered an Absolut Bloody Mary, husband had a margarita. Thinking the plate would be small, I ordered the appetizer nachos and husband ordered a burger. The portions were HUGE! I couldn't finish the nachos but they were fantastic- flavorful and each chip had ample toppings. Husband liked his burger as well and was stuffed after finishing it. Great, quick service (our server was Rachek) and worth the upcharge for being in an airport. We would have had another drink but as it was lunchtime, it was getting crowded and we didn't want to deny someone else a meal. Would definitely stop here again. read more

As a single traveler, I'm asked if want to sit at the bar rather than at a table. No, this is an airport and I have two bags with me. How am I supposed to juggle them in the crowded bar? So then I'm taken back to what are clearly the worst tables in the house. The two 2-tops next to the kitchen are so bad that in a busy restaurant, there's no one already seated at either table. The kitchen is open so I'm either looking into the kitchen or having everything go on behind me. No thanks. There are at least three open 4-tops in that area but clearly they're not to be wasted on me and my stuff. I'm told that I can wait 15-20 minutes for a smaller table. No thanks. I used to live in Dallas and went to Pappasito's often. I just ate at the one in Humble on Saturday night and the one with crazy bad parking in Houston near Rice a couple of weeks ago, both times in town for business. As you can see, since I no longer live in DFW or somewhere else with the Pappa's chain, I try to go when I'm in town. But I don't always travel with others so sometimes I'm a solo diner. You have officially lost my business forever. read more

The best food I have ever eaten in an airport.. EVER.. The food was really delicious and had a ton of fresh ingredients and my salad had two tacos in it.. Amazing.. The Margareta was really good as well, and our server (Michael) was very attentive and fast. Definitely a place to stop in the DFW airport! read more

Pappasito's Cantina - A salad with tacos in it.. What?!?! - Tex-Mex Near Me - Grapevine, Texas

Great service by the waitress in-training & her trainer. The service was prompt, the recommendations by the staff was spot on. One of the guys in my party ordered a Margarita on the rocks but instead brought a frozen one, the waiter gave him one on the house for messing up the order. Even when my friend insisted that there was no need. I definitely plan on coming back. Surprisingly good for a chain restaurant. read more

This review is for the To Go window of the Pappasito's in DFW. I have been to the regular restaurants many times before and have always had a pleasant experience. Disappointed! The To Go window was a maze of chaos. Even after confirming my order twice, they still messed it up. I paid over $7 for one wrong taco. read more

Hands down - favorite airport lunch spot. I love this place so much I look for flights that fly through DFW just to have an excuse to stop here. Usually a single traveler, I always belly up to the bar and get a house margarita. They go down easy and hit hard (and I need that to fly comfortably). I love their chips and salsa - the chips are thin and the salsa is different - it is served warm and has a kind of smoky flavor to it. A great combo with the margarita. I love the bartenders - they mix drinks consistently and are social. Matter of fact, I find I always talk with someone new at this location at the bar - I find that more than any place, strangers engage in good conversation here. I always order the two taco plate and it has never disappointed. I can't wait for my next flight through DFW! read more

Inside DFW Airport Terminal A. Small and often crowded Tex Mex location. Many easy to view TVs playing sports. Sat at one of the counters. Great chicken tacos. A whole lot of food in the portions. Ordered one crispy and one soft. Ate the crispy one before I took the photo. Both were loaded with white meat chicken. Served with beans and rice. Chips and salsa part of the deal too. Great value for airport food, and sure to fill you up with a cold brew or two. Excellent service from a friendly staff member who constantly refilled my water glass. read more

overall it was pretty good tex-mex, but I couldn't get past how salty the food was! I had the Laredo...soft taco, which was great. A cheese enchilada that was really salty (mostly because of the sauce, and a chicken tamale...also very salty. Service was impecable. Spot on, prompt and attentive. read more

I came in expecting mediocre food and was delighted to Find out that the food is terrific!!! And my waitress was super nice and helpful. This is where I want to eat whenever I'm stuck between flights at DFW!!! It's legit! read more

I like this restaurant-salmon salad, I have been coming here for this dish for a couple of years, but one time I ordered this salad, they forgot to add any dressing, I asked the waitress, a white young girl, she gave me one cup of olive oil, asked her manager, she was a white young girl too, she gave me the same thing and told me they don't have the menu write-vinegar addressing any more! I have to give up eating at this place. Today I tried one time due to liking salmon salad so much, surprised, the dish was exactly the same like before! I can't believe this place waitress and manager didn't know the menu and cheated the customer! read more

Delicious he made soup big veggies, amazing chicken taco! My new favorite place at the DFW a terminal!

Hmmm...... tacos were ground beef and iceberg lettuce. Not as good as a food truck, and three times the price.

As a nacho junkie I love coming here when I'm at DFW. Their Matador nachos with fajita beef are really good. Good place to stop in to eat and get away from the rest of the airport for a bit. read more

This place was fabulous and McDonalds fast. Being that this is an airport establishment, they certainly understand that people are hungry and in a hurry. I won't hesitate to eat here again next time I'm in DFW. read more

I had 50 minutes before flight left. I was seated in "fastest section" available. Told waiter I had 25 minutes. He said no problem. Order at same time a ask the 25 minute question or within 2 minutes of being seated! 35 minutes later food arrived but I had to pay and leave with no time to get it to go. They still charged me even though I could not eat! read more

Located near the high gates in Terminal A, Pappasito's is one of the better dining options in this terminal. Facing a 30 minute delay the other day, I had almost an hour to kill as I awaited my departure to Chicago. A grande margarita with chips & salsa hit the spot as I passed the time enjoying a bit of NFL football. The food here is as good as you would enjoy at one of their off-airport locations. Great addition to the DFW Airport restaurant scene! read more

Fall off the bone bbq pork ribs and tender steak fajitas delicious, large portions and reasonably priced, especially for airport food. The chips, salsa and hibiscus lemonade are also great! The service was friendly and attentive. The decor and ambience were good. The beans and flour tortillas could use some work. That beautifully roasted pepper on your plate is spicy so beware before taking a big bite. read more

Had their superior combo of a taco, enchilada, and a chicken tamale. All were excellent. Also their table chips were excellent.

Needed a shot omw to ATL stopped here and the bartender hooked me up right

The food was overpriced and wasn't very tasty for my standards. They don't serve alcohol on Sundays, but that is a Texas state law. I would go somewhere else if I was at the airport again. read more

Great Tex-Mex to be had here. A perfect place for some good food between flights. The service is pretty quick. The salsa is served warm, which can be unexpected if you are used to cold salsa. Nothing like tanking up on a few 'ritas before a flight. read more

Look, this isn't 4 starts compared to your abuelitas taco shops. But if you are stuck in the airport, this is VERY quality for airport dining. And if you're vegetarian, you have lots of options (including an off-menus veggie burrito, which was great!) read more
