Taco crepes for dessert. Good taste.

Not a restaurant for a vegan, but they do have vegan options that aren't on the menu. The options are very limited so don't come thinking you'll eat a lot of food. The server, Anne was the most polite and attentive. She let me know that only two vegan meals: vegan fajitas (grilled zucchini, squash, onions, and red bell peppers) not cut, but big chunk pieces. The black beans are vegan. The tortillas are too. The rice isn't, but it's prepared in animal stock. It comes with guacamole, pico de gallo, a side of butter. The vegetables were well seasoned and flavorful. I got full off of the veggie fajitas with two tortillas. I didn't eat the side of butter, but gave it to my sister. The other vegan option is the Tijuana salad without meat and cheese. This restaurant stays packed. We didn't need a reservation.

Fajitas were wonderful, queso was wonderful, service was wonderful. Quick and hot Definitely one of our faves.

Always a favorite! The Salsa, the Queso and the Diablo Shrimp are my favorites. Had the margarita flight which was also pretty yummy. I wish they would offer Diablo shrimp on more combo platters instead of just an add on and I cannot understand why they got rib of bbq sauce for baby back ribs-they were delicious with sauce! But Pappasitos never disappoints for a fun and yummy date night.

    Handmade Pork Tamales yummy.

We came in for a late lunch/ early dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. It was quite loud and kept getting louder. But it seems to go in stages in the afternoon and it did get (a little) quieter. We had appetizers. Hubby had hand made tamales (pork) and I had potato taquitos. So so so good. We shared a queso fundido, which was fantastic until we got our other appetizers which made it pale in comparison. Anne I was helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you Anne. And thanks out to the chefs. And thanks to all the servers who managed to move at the speed of light without crashing into each other. We will definitely come back to this pappasitos.

Went for lunch today, Matt was our server and he was so nice! The hostess, Eliza who sat us, was also very polite! Chips and salsa were on point! We did have some of their green salsa, which I never had before, but was pretty good! It's Hatch Chile Pepper season, so we went with the hatch chile chicken tacos and the hatch chile pulled pork enchiladas. The chicken in the tacos was a little dry, but good. The enchiladas were amazing and definitely recommend! Keep the chips on the table while eating this because dipping the chips into the sauce is sooo good! The manager came by our table to make sure that we were happy or if we needed anything. This restaurant has a lot of tables and can accommodate large groups!

This is the food ; tasteless ; over cooked ribs; burnt shrimps and uncooked fajita meet

Called the number and nobody answered. Stayed on the line for over an hour then I had to hang up. They need to issue a full refund. They cannot serve people burnt food. Look at those burnt shrimps ok. The player and they charge people for cheese and sour cream that was not eaten . Who does that?

I love the service here! Our waiter was spectacular and very attentive. Fun atmosphere with lively music! The tortilla chips we got first for complimentary were a bit stale or old so I had to ask to get it switched out. The shrimp taco was good but just for 1, it was kinda pricy. The beef fajita sizzling platter was delicious! I like how the meat was very tender and even when it's medium rare. The onions that came with the platter were nicely sautéed. All the condiments were amazing as well. I have never tried a cajete before so this type of icecream style was very interesting. It came out cold and yummy: great for the warm weather! All the bits on it, coconut chips, crushed pecans, chocolate drizzle and strawberries, added flavor to the vanilla ice cream. I was so full, I didn't get to finish it but I took the rest to go.

    DRY OVERCOOKED $28 Shrimp!!

Way overpriced for some overcooked, microwaveable, straight from a can and reheated type of food. Let me tell you this was one of the worst restaurants we ate at in Houston!!!! The Enchiladas de res. The meat was unflavored pot roast beef that I'm giving my honest review tasted like one of those pot roasts you get from a frozen tv dinner. The rice was flavorless, frijoles was absolutely flavorless! The guacamole had hard avocados in it. Also spent $28 on the shrimp diablo that was so overcooked the shell would not detach from the shrimp meat!! It was like shrimp chips!! Now the kids meals. All my children did not eat tonight and left hungry because the fry's were rock hard. I'm telling the gods truth. It was HARD. Even the manager felt it and said it was really hard. Are they not checking their quality of food before serving it? They even offered to redo it and it still came out hard. The worst part is they offered to redo it then charged me for extra fry's.. what?? The food and experience was so bad tonight we won't be trying any other pappas restaurants. **And the management for pappasitos on yelp don't comment on my review with your fake concern "or number to call"... you know you don't care and won't do anything to fix my experience so save yourself the trouble!!!***

From the few times I've been here it seems like the steak fajitas are always cooked perfectly and so tender! We had a great time here amongst friends. However it seemed like service was lacking a little bit, they were slow to take our orders and even though we had 3 sets of couples who ordered the fajitas for 2/family fajitas dinner, they were very skimpy with the fresh tortillas and only gave us 4 at a time. Was a little disappointed because their tortillas are so delicious and a staple when it comes to eating fajitas.

I found Pappasito's on Yelp as we were driving to grab dinner. I was looking for Mexican and fairly close and casual. First of all, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. As soon as our waiter approached us to welcome us, he brought us a queso on the house since it was our first time, He went over the menu and pointed out some recommendations. We went with the Fajitas that he mentioned with the beef, sausage, and shrimp. There were the best fajitas I have ever had. The beef was so tender and flvvorful. The sausage was great, and I loved how the skin was crispy. The shrimp were huge and cooked in the shell. OMG! The tortillas are homemade and heavenly. The beans had amazing flavors as well as the rice. I do not typically order dessert when dining out, but once I found out they had homemade Tres Leaches, I had to try it. THE BEST I have had! The manager came over while we dined to welcome us as well and to check on everything. We had a great time dining at Pappasito's and we will be back for sure. Our waiter was Antonio F. and he was 10/10.

Lunch meal Chicken Flauta & Cheese Enchilada
    Allison L.

I order the "build your own margarita" with corazon blanco and add a shot of contrau. Delicious! Lunch menu is available 11-4 pm all week long! After discussing the two items I was considering with my neice (either chicken fajita taco and cheese enchilada or the chicken flauta and cheese enchilada), she said she loves the flautas! So, I ordered the chicken flauta and cheese enchilada lunch combo for $16.95. It is served with rice and beans. So cheesey and yummy!! Their salsa is the best. The chips are pretty thin, however they are up to the task of transporting the salsa from the bowl to my mouth! The green sauce is available for purchase (I think $1.99).

So, if your new in town; head towards Galveston on I-45 and look for Pappasito's Famous Tex/Mex Restaurant! You can fuel your belly.

At Lupe Tortilla in Kemah, our host was gracious and welcoming. We asked if we could sit at the bar, and we were happily shown to two seats. So far, so good. Then came the bartender. She greeted us with the sort of expression usually reserved for someone who has just backed into your car in the parking lot. Plates and chips were tossed onto the bar--technically within the vicinity, though apparently not within reach. We were then asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered a dressed draft beer and a 50/50 Rita. The beer arrived beautifully cold and perfectly poured. The margarita, however, was roughly 90% frozen and 10% margarita--the precise opposite of what we were hoping for. It wasn't exactly the warm beginning one hopes for when settling in for dinner. The food may yet have a chance to redeem the evening, but hospitality is part of the recipe. And when the first course is indifference, even a good meal has a little climbing to do.

As I write this review, this restaurant currently has a rating of 4.0 stars with 380 reviews. Before coming, I also reviewed several pictures that other folks have posted on yelp, and I thought I'd give this place a try. The outside of this restaurant is well lit and inviting. Parking is plentiful, and they have several handicapped parking spots for folks who need that. Upon entry, I was immediately seated in one of their booths by their hostess. The busboy came out a few minutes later, bringing some fresh chips and two kinds of salsa. The busboy didn't seem too friendly; he didn't say a word or even crack a smile. My waitress came out a couple of minutes later, and her name was Eliza C. She was friendly and professional, and she was attentive to my dinnertime needs throughout my experience. The chips and salsa they serve here are amazingly good. While I decided what I wanted to eat for dinner, I couldn't stop eating them! I ordered one of their "Maximina's Build Your Own Cominados," choosing an order with two items. For my two items, I ordered an enchilada with beef picadillo, and I ordered a crispy taco with beef picadillo. I ordered my meal with a side of their Mexican rice and refried beans. I also ordered a Dr. Pepper with my meal. My meal was delicious. The refried beans were excellent, and they had a smoky/bbq taste to them. The Mexican rice was delicious as well. They did an excellent job on my enchilada and taco, and they provided a generous filling with beef on both. They were delicious as well. The Dr. Pepper was also refreshing, and I appreciated that they served it in a glass rather than a plastic mug. One thing I noticed in their menu is that they appear to pay attention to folks who have vegetarian and/or gluten free needs in their diet. This doesn't effect me, but it is appreciated, so kudos to the management for that. Unfortunately, I also noticed that they require a mandatory "large party fee" for parties of 8 or more, which is 20%. This didn't effect me either, but it would be annoying to me if I were in a large party. I think this is unnecessary, presumptuous, and a little annoying. It is essentially a tip that is mandatory, regardless of the quality of the food or the service. If you have a large party, just make sure you don't add another tip on top of this mandatory tip (for the large party) without realizing this. The management should reconsider this annoying practice. Overall, I had an excellent (almost perfect) experience here. I would definitely come here again the next time I'm in the area. In addition to this review, be sure to check out all my pictures if you'd like to get more detail on this location, some of which are attached to this review.

It had amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked. The steak was good too, but it had more of a barbecue taste, which just isn't my personal preference I also heard the table next to me. Tell the waiter that they preferred the chicken over the filet mignon, which just goes to show that their chicken is superior. Next time, I'd probably stick with just the chicken fajitas. Let's talk about the sauces because they deserve their own moment. The green sauce that came with the chips was AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The red sauce was also really good -- both paired perfectly with the chips. For rice, I tried both the cilantro rice and the Mexican rice. They were both solid, but I liked the Mexican rice just a little more. One thing to keep in mind: toppings for fajitas are an extra charge. I got the garlic, onion, and Serrano topping with cheese -- and they do not play when they say it's spicy! It was delicious but very spicy. Also, it's a $5.99 upcharge, which is easy to miss. And heads up: they mix the Serranos into the cheese, so you can't really remove them once it's served. If you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend asking for the Serrano peppers on the side. The service was extraordinary -- super attentive and welcoming. The place was packed, but there was still plenty of parking, which was a plus. I didn't order drinks this time, but they looked really good. I'll definitely be back, especially for Margarita Monday -- $5 margaritas all day sounds like a deal I can't pass up. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be coming back!
