Hosted my after wedding ceremony dinner here in the party room area and it was great! We were about 40 people and our servers Ashley and another guy I didn't catch his name were so kind and efficient. Booking the room was so easy one of the managers Luke was really nice and accommodating to our requests about decor and how we'd like the tables to be arranged. Everyone's food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. I will say everyone who had drinks from the bar commented on how strong they were so beware if you're not a drinker. Overall we had a great experience and we will be back for regular lunch or dinner service!

Food is always great, host that took the order was awesome and patient. We picked up. BUT surprised at the tiny scoop of salsa that came with an $80 meal fajitas for four. Small portions on to go orders. If I had known, I would've made an extra order. Disappointed

I've been coming here for years for the best tex-mex flavors in the clear lake / league city / area! The prices reflect the passion and creativity that come through in the juicy and flavorful fajita meats. The best green sauce ever and the margaritas are to die for ! The service is always amazing and I always leave full as a tick for the portions they give you !!!

The Grandioso has just arrived. Yum.

I had a lunch date with my son, and after many suggestions from a facebook post, I went with Red River Cantina. One post suggested the Grandioso, which included 3 cheese and 3 chicken enchiladas with combination chicken & beef fajitas. My son and I sat at the bar, and the service was great. Our eyes kind of bugged out when the order arrived. It was a lot of food. . . And all of it delicious.

On Wednesday after 4pm, they are having a fajita special which is 1lb of beef and chicken fajitas for $32.95! Comes with a small queso, guacamole and pico de gallo. Also served with two sides of charo beans, Mexican rice and their homemade tortillas! Food was fantastic! I did try their house margarita which was delicious! We sat at the bar, had great service. The only downside is when you order, your food will be in front of you within 5-8 minutes, seriously, so only order when you are ready to eat. It like they rush and we don't like that. Lots of tvs in the bar area, plenty of tables for those big parties or a party of two!

Best Tex Mex we've had out here yet! So close to home and the ambiance is great, it's lively and always playing music and sports. Family friendly and great for a date night. We usually order the fajitas and their margs have different variety of flavors. The customer service is on point here! Highly recommend. Shout out to BB Jordan she was our server and she recommended a few great things in the menu that we tried!

We absolutely love Red River Cantina! The food is always fresh and delicious. The weekend happy hour is great. I love getting a medium tortilla soup ( which is pretty big ) and an order of the HH flautas with queso for dipping. The service is fantastic and VERY fast! We always have a drink before we order because the food is out in a snap! Margaritas are very tasty. The red salsa is warm (I love that) Make sure to ask for green sauce! Highly recommend. Their BBQ location is also wonderful.

Went with a group of 7 other ladies for lunch on a Saturday. We had a great time. Food and drinks were awesome. I had the fajitas and the cucumber jalapeno margarita. Fajitas were delicious and the margarita was just right. Not too spicy. The only thing... Wish they had a patio.

Is there changing tables at your restaurant? I was there and did not see any changing tables provided in the women's restroom.

They don't even have waiters at their restaurant, I doubt they have changing tables.

The service is absolutely incredible and accommodating with such a lovely atmosphere. I have dietary restrictions as I am vegan, and they made a wheat flatbread replacement for the naan for me. The family member who assisted us was attentive and wonderful conversation. They are incredibly transparent on their food process and ensuring people with allergies and restrictions are able to eat their food. The food is fresh and you can taste it. I got the bindi masala at medium heat and it is my favorite I've gotten by far. The okra and onions are cooked perfectly to create a satisfyingly delectable flavor with a savory building up heat. The vegetable samosas are also my favorite in the area! They create an in-house sauce of brown sugar with spices, and it is my absolute favorite sauce I've had with samosas. It's better than chutney or tomato sauce. The sweetness and spices are perfect with the savory flavor of the samosas. The aromas of the varieties of spices light up the atmosphere.

We ordered the butter paneer and the chicken kadai, both served with basmati rice and naan. The paneer sauce was mildly sweet and spicy, and the paneer itself had a great texture. The chicken kadai was very flavorful with lots of spices and aromatics, and the rice and naan were both good. My husband also had a mango lassi, which was silky and delicious. Prices are affordable, and it's a great option if you're sharing with family. Overall, a very good experience.

We were very skeptical to eat here because of the reviews, but because we were on a budget, we went for it. IM SO GLAD WE WENT FOR IT. This is great for football/baseball seasons or any major sports event coming up to watch. There was one lady who served us, while also serving several tables. She was definitely highlight of my dining experience. Sweet, attentive, and professional. I ordered the Gumbo and crab cakes to start off with. Here's my take on the food: Gumbo: the spices are there. It has chicken, sausage, okra, celery, and other vegetables inside. However, as you can tell, it didn't have the dark roux like a GOOOOD gumbo does. Nevertheless, delicious and finished the whole bowl but wouldn't order again. Crab cakes: Crispy on the outside which balanced the soft REAL crab on the inside. The squeeze of lemon on top is a must to balance out the savoriness of the crab, and a sweet sauce to complement it was a nice hit! I could taste the mayo of the sauce and eventually decided it was too sweet and heavy with the crab cakes. For entree I ordered 1lb of clam boil and the seasonings and dressing on the side. That way I can control the spice and sauce level, and I honestly loved this idea. It definitely filled me up and I think it's worth the money for seafood! My friend ordered the 1/2 lb Lobster and 1/2 lb shrimp, she enjoyed it and she also agreed she would come back again! The drink menu variety is amazing with special shot deals! This is a place people should come and try out for a weekend night with sports play and some good seafood boil. Highly recommend this place and would come back again!

My family and I were in Galveston and decided we want to grab lunch before heading back to town. I…read moreremembered the name Pier 6 from two different group of friends so thought I should look it up and see where it was on the map. Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

Well I realize I completely forgot to write a review for Pier 6 when we came to visit in November…read more2025. Pier 6 menu changes from time to time. We had ordered: * Thai salad : 1/5 nothing Thai about this salad and it was terrible. * 2 dozen raw oysters: 4/5 decent good for Nov. * seafood gumbo: 1/5 we had the gumbo here before and it was decent but this time it was not the same and tasted like burnt roux which should never be served. * burger with a gravy sauce: 1/5 The brown sauce was pour around the burger and the burger was placed in the center. The burger bun was soggy and the worst burger we ever had. It was the strangest burger because we couldn't pick it up to eat it since it was soggy from the pour of the brown sauce. This burger was $25+ which was uneatable. The beef patty was unseasoned and dry. Fast forward March 2026, after the last dining experience we almost didn't want to come back. Only reason was for the oysters. We were happy to see the items that we really enjoyed was back on the menu! *Only fried shrimp $24.99: 5/5 comes with coleslaw, stellar jalapeño hush puppies which is the best I've had!, and fries. The shrimp is fresh and good size! Nothing beats a texas gulf shrimp! *Tide to fried $28.99- 4/5 comes with fried tx gulf shrimp, fried oysters, and fried red snapper, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. The fired oysters were so good!!!! Like wow and well seasoned! So fresh! The shrimp is perfect! Red snapper super disappointed because it was super fishy. I do not recommend the fried red snapper. Next time definitely get the only shrimp or only oysters combo and pass on the tide to fried which included the fried snapper. *3 dozen oysters - $14.99 per dozen: 5/5 the oysters in March a plump and juicy! So much better than Nov (early season) oysters. The oysters Unfortunately had shells from shucking the oysters so when eating them I bite into shell and thought I almost cracked a tooth. Quality of the oysters great 5/5. The shucking and handle of the oysters 1/5. No guest should eat shuck raw oysters bite on shell. That's a law suit waiting to happen and I hope this establishment does better because we love their freshness of their oysters. *Ocean water $6 happy hour : 5/5 reminds me of sonic ocean water except spiked lol *Watermelon slush $6 happy hour: 1/5 it was so strong and I felt the smokiness was too much. Love the ocean water more because it hides the alcohol and easy to drink. Service was meh. The place was packed at 5pm on a Friday. Not sure why our entrees and drinks came out before our appetizers which I felt was inappropriate. We had to flag down our waiter a few times for items. He did check in with us once after we got our food and took our first bites. Do I recommend Pier 6? Based on this recent visit I am glad I didn't write them off and yes. The food was great minus the oyster cleanliness. Definitely a favorite place for oysters and the best fried shrimp/oyster plate the area and Galveston even. Only negative is the blasting of the music. It's so loud we can not hear our conversation and will induce you a guarantee headache. It does not matter if you sit inside or outside.. it's the same noise level which is concert loud. The videos killer outside and so beautiful but I feel the blaring of music takes away from the charm of this place. If you are into rowdy loud places this is for you. Other than that, maybe distract one self by ordering happy hour drinks so it helps with the intense loud music.
