We solved everything and 'escaped' with 16 minutes to spare. It felt like it was more going through motions instead of solving an escape room riddle. Also in the lobby, there was a promotion for a discounted gift certificates, and when I asked about it, they said it expired, and although she asked the manager if he would honor it, his answer was no, even though the promotion was still displayed. We will not go back there.

So my critique is not with him! The critique is with the fact that this beginner room was very difficult. I mean maybe they are all this hard, I wouldn't know. But our one hour ran out and we still had the challenge we were working on and three others left. When the game god came in and said time was up, we chatted for a bit and asked what the success rate for this particular room was. He said it was 17%. We thought that was a bit ridiculous for a beginner room. But again, maybe all places are like that. So if you don't mind losing, lol, then yeah, definitely check it out!

We returned last weekend to do The Mausoleum. It was a blast!! The puzzles were very well thought out, pretty difficult and the ambiance was a lot of fun. Theming is super important to me and they do it right here!! Andy was our Escape Master and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. His enthusiasm and wit were perfect for when we needed a hint to make it to the next section. He was kind and personable and never made us feel stupid, which I think is pretty important. Escape RI is really an adventure for those who take part of it.... The staff sends you into a themed, immersive game space filled with puzzles, and you have to solve them all in order to "escape" within the hour. Now after the pandemic, all games are private, so you only go in with people you know. The are several room and several types of experiences! While you play, the venue is being constantly monitored by a trained Game Operator, and an emergency exit is always available in case of discomfort or actual emergency. You are never locked in a room. The lights may get dim at some points, but there's no (intentionally) spooky music or sounds, no frightening pictures, and certainly no one is going to jump out at you. All surfaces are sanitized regularly by the staff. The base price to rent one of the rooms is $79 which includes two admission tickets, which is also the minimum number of players needed to play our games. Each additional ticket is an additional $29 per person. Each room has individual capacity limits. The smallest game room can hold up to 4 players, two of the game rooms can hold up to 6 players each, and the largest game can hold up to 10. Our group needed some help in some of the rooms with the puzzles and clues, so you can ask for help and the operator will help you with hints. At the end of the game, we did not Escape, but it was a fun experience about teamwork, leadership, puzzle solving, and much more.... LOL...

The puzzles were creative, unique, and genuine. well themed, and very adorable. solving a lot of those puzzles gave that 'ooooooo.... clever feel'. immensely satisfying. The set and scenery- absolutely phenomenal. an incredible amount of attention to detail, and clearly a labor of love. even having seen some of the photos on this yelp page, going into the space... still mind blowing how immersive it was. definitely check out this escape room. tons of fun.

The level of detail and stunning execution in the set and the props is unparalleled. The puzzles are really innovative and reflect the profound smarts and ingenuity of the owners, while still being accessible. I kept thinking "oh wow, thats such a clever way to make a puzzle out of that!" and being blown away by the flawless execution of some remarkable feats of engineering. I left feeling profoundly entertained and with a great level of brain fever. I'm still telling friends about it weeks later. It's 100% worth the trip from Boston. You wont regret it!
