There is nothing "mild" about the dishes we had. I requested the restaurant's help with getting a few dishes that weren't too spicy, and I can't eat either dish. Just wasted $60 and still need something for lunch. And the naan is hard as a rock. It's a "no" for me. Disappointing since we've thought about going here every time we head out there to our credit union, which is right next door. Oh, and get this ... I thought I took out a nice chunk of lamb and it was all bone. Huh? Never in all the years of our eating Indian food have we gotten a bone mixed in. read more

Delicious goat biryani. A little spicy, but nothing a little water couldn't handle. The goat meat was tender and had great flavor, and it was tucked under lots of fluffy and delicious rice. The portion size was generous, especially for the price. The garlic naan was ok. Not as soft and fluffy as I'm used to, but still pretty good. There wasn't much in terms of sauce to dip the naan in anyway, so I might pass on that next time. read more

We love love love this place for biriyani. We usually order 1 full tray and freeze the leftovers to enjoy on days we dont feel like cooking. 1 full tray chicken biriyani is $140, 1 full tray mutton biriyani is about $160. I have been to this restaurant a few times. The first time, I had an excellent experience. The goat biryani was simply delicious. The next time I tried Chicken 65 and it was as experience I do not want to go through again. The last time I visited, I ordered goat biryani. We came across Paradise biryani through a friend a year ago and have been ordering from here once a month. We usually get the chicken biryani and chicken 65 - they never disappoint. Haven't dined here, we always end up placing a pick order. They always make sure to deliver on the flavor in a timely manner. We did order a chicken curry dish and naan once, wasn't too impressive. Today I purchased food from here and wasn't really happy with the quality, and when we already spoke over the phone, we were asked to bring back the food for return, however upon getting the food to them for a return, the person at the counter seems to be adamantly arguing that everything seems to be good....... unfortunately one cannot have food that does not 1) have salt and 2) that has too much of salt. 3) that is too sweet without a reason. One can make mistakes, but the real issue is 1) Refusing to accept the problem that the customer is genuinely complaining about and 2) unnecessarily wasting time to get it back for a return and make him wait for it and finally....... well not worth it. The food here is great but for one issue so I will be dropping my rating from 5 to 3. Will update back to a 5 if changes are made. When I order food for delivery- the bag comes wide open. I can see the delivery person coughing and talking on his cell while the bag is wide open. How have they not taken precautions to seal the bags or something? Simple tamper stickers to close the bags would be enough to prevent transmission. I"m amazed how other people who order delivery dont have concerns over open bags. Anybody could do something to your food even unintentionally like sneeze or cough. I will not be ordering delivery from here until they take precautions for the safety of their customers. read more

Worst food ever. Tried Gobi Manchurian, Chilli Chicken and Noodles. All sucks. Not even tasty. Forget about taste. It is not even made as it is supposed to. Gobi Manchurian- literally gave cauliflower stems tossed over. Not even close to Manchurian style Chilli chicken- chicken doesn't taste good at all. Making is worst and not even chilli chicken style. Worst biryani ever! Please avoid as much as you could. This place is nothing but a money minting machine for the chain. We got chicken biryani to-go from them on Nov 19th evening. Its nothing but a full plate of tasteless WHITE rice with NO flavors at all and 1 chicken piece full of bones. Every time we were giving it a benefit of doubt (i.e may be it was a holiday and they had too many orders, may be the cook was changed etc) but every time we have been fooled with a shitty box of biryani. To add to it, the curd and salan were FULL OF WATER with zero taste. Its one of the worst places for BIRYANI now and they DARE to charge arm and a leg for that stuff. Paradise Biryani ? Yeah I don't think so. I honestly wasn't a big fan of the chicken dum biryani! I ordered through Uber eats since I was too lazy to drive and pick up my order. So on the Uber eats gave me an option of mild, medium, or extra masala. I asked for extra masala thinking maybe its asking if I want it extra spicy. The chicken biryani had too much going on with the flavoring. I don't know what kind of masalas were added but some were too strong for my liking. I wasn't a big fan of the egg that was in the center of the biryani so I tossed that out. It also came with complimentary raita but unfortunately that wasn't good either. The texture and flavor of the raita wasn't refreshing it just felt too concentrated with a cream base. I feel like this restaurant focuses on their spices a bit different compared to other Indian restaurants. They mix and add other kinds of masala's and ingredients that my taste buds are not familiar with. Indian food has a lot of diversity!!! My husband likes the chicken dum biryani here, we used to frequent their Fremont location. Today I ordered pickup via UberEats - boneless chicken dum biryani, goat biryani, butter chicken, malai kofta, garlic and butter naan. I can't complain about the prices, was able to feed a family of 6 for lunch with enough leftovers for dinner. The food was tasty and fresh though the order was not ready for pickup when I arrived, had to wait an additional 15 min and ultimately had to change the goat biryani to chicken biryani instead for some reason. The server was nice enough to add on a free mango lassi for making us wait which I appreciated. My relatives are not used to eating spicy food, the mild dishes were okay for them except for the butter chicken. Great place for biryani! If you are up for waiting over 45-60 minutes for your food, this place will not disappoint. They like to take a lot of orders at the same time and it's usually chaotic to get the order right. Don't trust their suggested wait times, i have had to wait way longer than what I was told. Nevertheless, biryani is tasty and perhaps does cover for the quirks associated with the place. Pro tip - get their biryani on weekdays, it's usually better taste and the prep time is predictable. Ordered chicken biriyani family pack that came with a appetizer, let me tell you , please note, these are not actually Biriyanis, they make rice and curry separately and just mix the desired curry with rice and give you. Fortunate me, some of the chicken pieces is both the appetizer and the biriyani were stale again note, they use same chicken perpetrated and add different sauces at the end based on you order. Avoid this place, unable to make a great tasting food could be excused, but serving spoiled meat/food is not excusable. This restaurant used to be one of the better Indian restaurants and I am a frequent customer of this. But unfortunately, today's experience is a very bad one which has forced me to turn to writing this review on yelp. I placed an order through doordash and all of the items I ordered were incorrect. To my huge surprise, I found that all the items had boneless chicken in it. When I called the restaurant to apprise them of their mistake, the person who took the call not only was rude but he sweared at me when I questioned him on how they can send wrong items. I tried to call them back to talk to their manager/someone higher up but everytime they would pick up the phone and keep it on for few minutes and then hang up. My theory on ordering in a restaurant is to start with their signature dishes, then work your way from there. At Paradise Biryani Pointe their namesake dish is the Biryani, so why get anything else? Today I walked in before noon and was immediately seated, provided a menu, and given glasses of ice water. No crowd, no wait. Service was polite, quiet, and efficient. Their lunch Biryani is served in a deep beveled roundish bowl with sides of a curry-like sauce and a yogurty-cucumber sauce to dip and pour. They also give you an extra plate to scoop your Biryani onto because the bowl is too full to eat out of. The goat Biryani ($12.99) is my favorite dish because I seldom (never?) cook goat at home. Today there were big pieces of tender savory goat buried in the multi-colored rice. The meat would just about fall off the bone, but be careful as there were numerous small bones. The medium spice was just enough to induce a mouth tingling burn, but not enough to mask the flavors of the dish. Why would anyone in their right mind go to a restaurant called Paradise Biryani Pointe with no intention of ordering Biryani? That's the question I posed to my colleague this afternoon as we headed over to PBP for lunch (neither of us is a big biryani fan). "Just wait and see" he said with a mysterious smile! We walked in just before noon and there were just a few folks there (no Indians, I noted grimly). The place was small but clean and tastefully decorated, and I didn't mind the Bollywood actors cavorting around in blond wigs on the two TVs. Soon after, small groups of south Asians on their lunch hour started filing in, ordering biryani left and right (it must be good!). My colleague pointed me to the back of the menu where the Monday-Thursday lunch specials were - "Good value if you don't want to overstuff yourself on a buffet, especially if we order two different dishes and share." He ordered the kadai paneer special, I got talked by the iPad-wielding waiter into the Paradise chicken curry. It took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive, but boy was it worth the wait! Each special plate included a hot crispy naan neatly quartered, basmati rice cooked just right, and perfectly seasoned dal fry. The two main dishes we shared were outstanding - the Andhra-style Paradise chicken: nicely cooked and tasty without being too spicy, and the BEST kadai paneer I've ever had: soft yet firm paneer, crisp fresh vegetables, and light yet creamy gravy that delivered an explosion of complex flavors straight from the Indian subcontinent!
