The Dearborn location is exponentially better in every way. When Asoka closes on Tuesday and if I'm in a bind I'll order from them. Expect to pay more if you want naan and rice. Spices vary but I wish they had the Dearborn menu. It seems more modernized. Customer service is spectacular. Every time they have treated me amazing and even cracked a few jokes. Very much disappointed with the experience. Went to this place with a friends family and the manager asked us if we want to eat buffet. But by that time all the items in buffet looked like leftovers so we have ordered chicken biryani & Mutton Biryani. It took forever to get the order for them and no one showed up at our table until then to serve water or atleast to ask if we need some drinks. Anyways coming to the actual food biryani , the food wasn't good and we couldn't eat fully as well. Specially the mutton/lamb biryani had a very bad smell like it was prepared a week ago. My friend and I tried this for the first time. She had butter chicken and I got a vegetarian biryani dish. We upgraded to a combo, which gives you another side dish, naan bread, and a little dessert sweet treat. I asked for hardly any spice or mild. It was way too spicy, but this was the best Indian food I have had in a very long time! I will definitely be back, but will make sure to order NO spice. My friend said her butter chicken was delicious and very tender, but also very spicy for "mild." Like I said, everything was delicious, and tasted like it was prepared on the spot. We were there at lunchtime, and there was only one other party in the restaurant, and it did seem like our meal took a while, however, once I tasted the meal, I knew everything was probably cooked on the spot for us. I'm Indian. I have high standards for the food. My family and I constantly complain about the fact that we have yet to find a good Indian place in the area. This place is styled like fast food but your food doesn't arrive fast. It's entirely self service - you order, you set your table, you box your food. And it's kind of annoying. I debated between giving this a two star or a three star. I gave it a three because the food is alright. Sometimes it borders on decent. The biryanis that they market aren't very flavorful. But I had the chili fish (more like Manchurian fish) that was pretty tasty and the coconut fish curry which was also alright. We also ordered the goat biryani and the kheema biryani - neither of which were very good. Food quantities are plentiful, but I would suggest that you carry out. The ambience sucks and I feel like I would've enjoyed my meal more had I been sitting at home. Might order from here again because it's close but I won't be particularly happy about it. read more

It took a long time for them to make the order I was picking up because they kept helping people that were coming in while we were just sitting there waiting for the DoorDash order. We went for the buffet on a Sunday, the buffet was setup fine. We started to look through buffet and everything was randomly arranged, meat and veggie items were mixed, so we had to ask them which item was what. Most items were not for vegetarians, so we tried the few things and ordered the veg. Dum biryani, it was ok but spicy. We also had paneer butter masala from buffet which was something different not what you eat elsewhere. We also had bhindi masala which had raw ginger taste in it and very oily. The naan was normal. Ok I see what's happening here. It's Common practice from competitive Indian restaurants to write bad reviews about their competitors but this is too much. Most of the profiles writing reviews are fake profiles. It's so sad to try to ruin this restaurants reputation and some people's daly earnings that they are probably using to send to poverty struck families back home. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED !!! We drove from auburn hills and it's not worth the drive. This place is a total ripoff. One of the worst Indian buffets I ever ate. They hardly have 8 dishes and it's 13.77. The dishes didn't even taste good for the price. Someone accidentally dropped chicken from biryani into the chickpea curry and we saw one of there workers picking it up and putting back into the biryani and never changed the batch of chickpea curry. I told that to the guy at the reception and he wasn't surprised at all and very casually said we'll look into it and started to bill the next customer in the line, that disgusted me quite a bit. read more

I used to like their items a lot until today. This is probably the last time I visited them . They are selling Haleem for 11 usd. Look at the amount they are providing in the picture. And also look at the egg piece they provided in the mutton biriyani which they are selling for 13 USD. This was my favorite Restaurent so far in the area. But when your favorite starts robbing you all you have to do is to find a new favorite. They thought they got the business and they can keep robbing people. Purely based on flavor and quality of the food, this is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. I'm visiting from Seattle where Indian restaurants are on every corner -- Paradise Biryani easily topped them all! I came for the buffet and left very satisfied. I was shocked at the low price - I was expecting to pay $20-$25 but I paid less than $20 w/ tip. A couple important things to note: it's very much self service, you pour your own water and grab your own utensils. This didn't bother me one bit actually, and explains why the price was low. Two pieces of feedback to the owners: 1) it would be nice if the buffet area was a bit bigger. 2) refill the buffet more frequently. Update: docking a star based on my last visit. I ordered takeout and they took an extra 30 minutes to get my order ready from the time they initially told me it'll be ready. Total wait time was 70 mins. read more

There are not many good desi food places in metro Detroit sadly. Biryani is the king when it's come to desi food. I have had tried biryani at different places in metro Detroit but was never satisfied to the point that I stopped even ordering it until I had paradise biryani. I have been living in metro Detroit for the past three years n didn't try Paradise Biryani Troy. Do you want to know why? Because of all the horrible yelp reviews. These yelp reviews kept me away from this place. Until one day when I was just happened to be in the area craving desi food and everything in the vicinity was closed. I decided to give biryani Paradise a try. I was like it can't be that bad that I can't even eat it. And my whole opinion of this place changed. It was the best biryani I had in metro-Detroit period. It was a chicken dum biryani carry out order. Even when I was done with chicken, I kept eating their rice as well because of how savory n flavorful they were. Now, I still wondered about the bad reviews on yelp and thought maybe it was a one time thing. Maybe I got lucky that one specific day. Maybe they had made it fresh that day. So far, we have gotten 5-6 more orders from this place and the taste has been pretty consistent (except one time rice seem little older I will throw out that one time outliner since other 5 times service been great.). So not sure about the bad reviews here but this is a solid restaurant for a A plus biryani. Thank have been little behind in my restaurant review game but made a special effort to write a review for this restaurant. I don't know about their other items but you have to try their delicious biryani and if you like it please leave them a good review because I would hate for this good restaurant to not good business because of some negative propaganda against them. First positive side, goat Biryani tastes good. Now the downside, the portion is good only if you eat within restaurant. Price is very high for ambience and taste that is provided. Place is very small, with not so great maintenance. If you order take away, the portion is getting smaller every day. From the time they opened up to now the portions almost became half.
