    Salmon on the Beach

The salmon on the beach roll is truly as good as other reviews say! A must order. I was really excited for the tuna tartare but it felt like it was lacking a bit. Loved the spicy orange chicken which was only a little bit spicy. Pad thai and fried rice were good. They have some really fun looking sushi rolls. Prices are good, sushi is a bit higher priced than other places but seems worth it. The entree dishes are priced similar to take out spots, but the experience is elevated, so definitely worth it. We made a reservation for a weekday dinner. It got packed in there by 6pm. The restaurant got extremely loud. Our server was good but we felt like she was frazzled. The bus man was amazing, quick with water refills and took each dirty plate as soon as we were finished. I will be back, maybe not at peak hours so I can hear conversation a bit better.

This place never disappoints! The food is always amazing and so fresh. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the wait staff are consistently kind and attentive. Some of my absolute favorites: the Ming shrimp and lettuce wraps (so crispy and flavorful, perfect starters!), the sizzling rice soup (my #1 go-to), and the steak and chicken dishes, which are always cooked perfectly. Honestly, I can't even pick a favorite dish because everything is so good. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, great service, and a great vibe!

We went here for dinner Saturday night May 31, and had excellent service and food. The ambiance was nice-quite quiet-easy to converse.

    Menu for happy hour

They do a pretty good set of food for Happy Hour. Maybe slightly pricier than other places but they have alot of sushi rolls on the menu. Service is good. Opens at 330, but people seemed to start rolling in around 4-430pm. Parking is good except on Wednesday when they do the club night. I liked the Gyoza alot and thought the sushi was good. Not pictured is pad thai, which was a dinner menu item and not a happy hour item. That was so-so, their version has a sauce which tasted good but wasn't what I was expecting.

The food was really good, but the atmosphere wasn't what I expected. For the price, I thought it would feel a little more elevated. The paper tablecloth and menus made the experience feel cheaper than expected, especially for a graduation meal. I noted on the reservation that it was a celebration, but nothing about the experience really felt special. I'd still eat here again, but probably not for a special occasion.

Top level Asian fusion / Chinese / Japanese restaurant owned by generations of the Chinese family (where Gloria Chin, the Hollywood actress belonged to but not the same Chin's where Vincent Chin hailed from. Interior vibe very cool with very awesome paintings on the wall; there are also stylish areas for sitting outside and in atriums. The Kim chi crabcakes were exceptional and the spicy seafood noodles were also very good. Service also very attentive. Highly recommended!

Anyway put your reading glasses on and get comfortable you homicides. I ordered chicken not chalk big dawg. I shouldn't be able to know exactly how you cooked it by the way it tastes. You grabbed the frozen chicken and threw it into the fryer for 2 and half Mississippi's. You then covered it in sauce and microwaved it on the popcorn setting. The breading was so dry and crumbly I could've sworn I scooped sand in my mouth. I just don't understand the negative reviews for this place…read more This is probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in the metro area. I drive from Woodward and Square lake because of the quality and portion sizes and price. Metro Detroit has great Thai places but we have very few good Chinese restaurants. Wong's food reminds me of how Chinese restaurants used to be when I was growing up here. Everything is fresh and crisp and flavorful. The food feels more home made. They even have real home made hot mustard!! Most Chinese places give you that prepackaged garbage. The fried rice has actual pieces of egg in it and is made fresh. Most places give you that fried rice that tastes like prepackaged store bought low quality fried rice. Wong's tastes perfect. Their egg rolls are big and not greasy. The wonton soup is delicious. The dinner portions are huge. They don't skimp on the portion sizes like all the other places do. Their service has been spot on every time I've been there. Wait times are very reasonable, so I just am baffled by the negative reviews. It's really not a sit down place, so just be aware of that. Go for carry out. But the food speaks for itself.
