Long ago, when I was working in dc, I remember their food truck being all that they had and I would walk 15 minutes just to get their sandwich. And then they popped up in a food hall nearby, and now they have several locations around the DMV! I love their chicken tenders, but I am obsessed with the honey butter sandwich. And give me all the heat! I can easily handle the hot, but medium is a safer choice for me. And it's Black-owned! I saw on the menu that they have the summer refreshers, so I'm sure those are great. I'll try one next time!

This time I ordered the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich with cheddar cheese, along with fries and a drink. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the honey butter paired perfectly with the cheddar. The fries were hot and fresh, making the meal even better. I also ordered food for my family, and it was their first time trying Roaming Rooster. Everyone loved it! It's always nice introducing people to a place that lives up to the hype, and this was definitely one of those times. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and our food came out fresh and made to order. I've eaten at Roaming Rooster several times over the years, and they've consistently delivered great food and a great experience. If you're looking for an excellent chicken sandwich in the DMV, I highly recommend giving Roaming Rooster a try. I'll definitely be back!

A cheese pupusa used instead of a tortilla as the base, and it's loaded with all of the fixings. I ordered them for a party years ago, and most recently I tried their chorizo and shrimp ones for the first time. They were delicious and filling! FYI they're $6 each, but I think it balances out based on what you're getting. This is my first time they're in person since they moved. It used to be deeper into Landover... Right across from where my friend lives, actually. Now they are basically at the intersection of 450 and 410. Unless you look closely at the window, they are very easy to miss. When I went, the blinds were closed and they don't have a sign! Decide you order on has a few tables, and the other side has more with a pool table and bar. I don't know when the bar opens, but it looks like it would be fun. The chair is at the tables on that side look like they could use some updating. It's up to you whether you decide to dine in like I did, but you absolutely must try a putaco. DO IT.

I ordered two pupusa tacos-one steak and one shrimp. They have a chicken and chorizo version as well. The pupusa tacos were not on the menu but they costed $6 each. It was between a 10-15 minute wait. Tacos and pupusas are two of my favorite things separately so I was excited to try them as one. The steak was flavorful on its own and was good in the taco. My only issue with the steak is there were some fatty pieces that were inedible. The shrimp was a little tough but still good. In my opinion, the steak taco was much better than the shrimp. I wish they came with a side of curtido because that would've really set everything off. I would go back to try more items. The food was tasty and there's a designated parking lot. That's always a plus for me.

I called to order pickup, and the service was nice and friendly. Also, the spot is very reliable, as it's open until midnight and roughly 16 hours of the day, serving many different options, from fast food to comfort food. I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.

Now it just tastes like mildly spicy mayonnaise. Not the same... (more on that below) The Sardi's chicken is ALWAYS the best around. In the DMV area there is no better. Others claim to be superior, but others usually serve a dry chicken. Sardi's is always juicy. Sides are fresh. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is clean. It's the best. I have been eating at a Sardis for at least 20 years... I think longer. I'd go to the location in Gaithersburg. When they used to serve the green sauce in the little plastic cups it was the best. As they grew and added more restaurants they started moving to these flat labeled packs produced offsite. Not as good, but I think they were still initially more "green" and less mayo. Now they taste creamy and less herbal/jalapeño. I'll still eat the chicken. I just miss the good sauce. Did I say Sardi's is the best? They are.

I'm here at lunchtime and it's filling up which of course is exactly what we want to see. I'm here on the recommendation of someone who has tried these gyros and they know how picky I am about the gyros. Because they're cooked to order , I can tell you that the place is very clean and very organized. The staff is all Hispanic. I don't know what that means, Caribbean chicken, I guess, but since I don't eat Peruvian chicken because it's very very salty, I'm trying the other meals. You can get an assortment of vegetables if that's what you want. I already mentioned there's chicken. You can eat wraps, different sandwiches, and a lot of Latin specialties. one complaint is that since they cook to order and you don't pick up at the table as my gyro, I sat here waiting for someone to call me. I didn't hear my name called out even though they asked for your name. I eventually had to go up to get it. I'm sure it's a little cooler than I would probably like it but we'll see. The final thing is, which I'm beginning to see not just here, A sign begging we want tips and we appreciate it. As for the Sandwich, they use the pre-sliced meat like that you would buy in a kit. . Cut thin and uniform and crisp on the ends. Think of bacon with a identity issue. Bread? it may think its Pita more like pity and last, The dressing was tasty and liberal would have licked it off the bread. Bottom Line, do not come here for the cold gyros , but i'm sure you find other food to like. 2.5 out of 5
