With lots of produce, food and gift stalls, you can find something for everyone. From fresh fruit and vegetables, to jarred spreads and sauces, there is no shortage of things to look at. But be prepared for lots of people. We had reservations for a meal after hitting this place, so I didn't try any foods. It was more about walking around and checking out the sights. I'm sure at some point I'll be back, but I would set a budget. It seems like stuff could get really expensive if you're not careful.

We are in a heat wave and it was still the best broth I've ever had. I can't wait until winter to sit by a fire and sip on that! I also got broth for pets for my grand dogs. They are going to love it!! There's no onion or garlic so it will be easily digestible for them. I walked away from there with 8 sticks, broths and lard. Ohhhhhh, the jalapeño broth is soooo good too. And nice little kick on the back end. I can't wait to try each of items I bought! Joanne is a wealth of information and so friendly and interesting. The chili was great as well, true Texas chili without beans, it was delicious, but only slightly spicy. The other soups and stocks looked really good as well. They even have a window where you can see into the kitchen where they make it all. Definitely recommend trying it.

My issue is not that the berries are repackaged nor is it about whether berries are in season locally. My concern is the lack of transparency. To me, the presentation and lack of labeling/pricing feel misleading as a customer. For example, if commercially grown berries (such as pesticide heavy Driscolls) are repackaged into open fruit baskets and sold in a store called a farmers market with no labels, pricing, signage, or disclosure of their source unless someone specifically asks, a customer could assume they're locally grown. (I'm using Driscoll's only as an example as again, I have no idea what brand you actually sell.) There's also a food safety concern. Repackaging produce into unlabeled containers removes Traceability customers rely on. If a specific lot was recalled because of an outbreak, how would customers know whether the berries they purchased were affected? I don't work for the Texas Department of Agriculture, so I'm not claiming any of these is a violation but the lack of transparency could raise consumer protection concerns. At the end of the day I simply believe customers deserve clear information about what they're buying. The chicken soup is probably the best I've had anywhere, and I go out of my way to get it when I'm sick. They also have a wide variety of freshly squeezed juices and fresh fruit bowls. They offer a pretty big range of menu options from healthy to greasy, and I can't imagine that anyone could ever leave dissatisfied. It's hard to believe La Fiesta Fruits isn't more popular around lunchtime. It's conveniently located in the West End. It's hard to see, but it's in the same building as Chipotle. If you go through the entrance, Chipotle is on the right, and La Fiesta Fruits is on the left. For some reason, the Chipotle is always packed, but there's never a line at La Fiesta, so I guess that's a bonus. This was one of my lunch staples when I worked downtown. It's definitely worth a try if you work in the area, and you'll kick yourself for not trying it sooner.

what we thought were 2 yellow watermelons for $18 EACH…read more When we got home (35 min. drive) one of them was red center but we paid of course for yellow center, my mother doesn't drive so we went back a day later with a third of watermelon because family members ate a portion. Mind you, you don't know what color it is until you cut into it which they wanted the whole watermelon returned which we returned a 1/3 at which they stated: then stated they should give us a 1/3 yellow watermelon back. Fine then they should pay for my gas for1 hr. Round trip and MY TIME AND THE DISTRESS to correct WHAT THEY WRONGFULLY SCREWED UP which till this day they never apologized for. I'm truly thinking at this point that they did it on purpose knowing we probably didn't live there and it's just assume we would not bring it back. They were extremely cold, Unapologetic, And hateful 1) We don't do exchanges or refunds or returns straight up, letting us know they were not going to do anything. At this point, we are irate seeing they absolutely DID NOT CARE why we were upset by their mistake. They treated my niece who is a lawyer like trash thinking she was about to steal watermelon from them before we bought. So the treatment was worse when asking them to correct their mistake. There was no apology! It was "Give them people the watermelon and get them out of my shop" Just short of the "n" word and don't come back which we will gladly OBLIGE!!! Racism at its finest. Why people go out there way to treat those who are not their kind rudely is beyond comprehension. They went out of their way to berate, belittle, and talk down to us like he is God (owner). It was traumatizing. Oh, the Lady, we spoke to would say she was very respectful. She started out with a harsh, We don't do refunds, We're not exchanging. We don't do that, But I'll call my boss. At that point. My mother was irate and cursed at her, as I got rude once we Realized they weren't gonna do anything at that point things got real. As a retailer, they should understand that when you're coming in with a complaint, that's not the first thing you say to them: We're not doing anything. It was bad Customer service all the way around, but I have a feeling had we been Latino we would have been received differently. Hopefully your treatment will be met with kindness if there is in issue. They are great at taking your money happily. Anyway, Isn't taking back food, a code violation of some sort?

This is the cutest little market. Had no idea they existed until I tried the dill garlic and…read morepickled okra at a friend's house. I noticed they had like 6 or 7 jars with the farmers delight logo in their fridge, so I googled it and figure out it was a little actually a little farmer's market. I went and spent about 40 bucks. I got the dilled garlic, mild quail eggs, ginger beets and pickled okra. They had so many different things do try. I had to stop myself..lol I also bought some sea moss. I grabbed a fork on my way out and took a like taste of all of them except the sea moss, before I left and did my happy dance, like Winnie the pooh. Yummy yummy. I saw fresh fruit, veggies, a variety of nuts, a couple frozen and refrigerated entree options and snacks, and some plants. My friend was waiting in the car, so I had to do a quick walk through. But I really like this place and all the associates were very nice and pleasant. I'll be back and definitely recommend 10 out if 10.
