We received dirty glasses (sticky on outside and inside) and those specifically who asked for new ones waited great length for their food to come out. Monkey bread was tasty and probably the best dish ordered in our large group of 10. Pulled pork nachos were mostly a huge plate of chips with a dollop of guacamole on top - didn't really see much for meat or other toppings on the dish. The club sandwich was described as an unimpressive slab of cheese between two toasted pieces of bread. The seating does accommodate large groups in C-shaped booths, but an oddly low table for eating off of so not the most comfortable seating arrangement for eating food at a restaurant. ETA- management has reached out and is working to give compensation for the experience which is appreciated. read more

Went to Paradise Park on a gloomy Friday night. My boyfriend and I love Homeslice and we now love Paradise Park as well. Our waitress was very cheery and attentive the whole night. I went to PP today with friends and family after my best friend ran a half marathon. Our girl server, I don't know her name but i wish i did was soooo amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure our table was enjoying and that we had everything we needed. I ordered a gluten free pizza with no olives + sausage. The pizza came out with olives on it and no sausage. Shortly after, our server came by and asked how everything is. I mentioned that it came with olives and how they didn't put sausage. She immediately apologized and asked if she could replace it or bring me anything else. I declined and moreso wanted to share for charging purposes later on. When we are wrapping up lunch, she brings me an entirely new pizza (with my initial asks) as a take home and to enjoy. I must admit, I started to perspire shortly after, but detoxification is good. Anywho, love the patio and it was nice to see the roof retracting giving more daylight and pleasing the crowd. Only issues to me are the corner booths need footstools, it's a very awkward sitting area. Its high off the ground, and the non-moveable table is positioned very far from the seat. I kept standing up, sitting down, legs swinging, etc. Parking can be very hard to find. And for 2 people on a Friday evening gratuity was already included on the bill. I love this place (and all of the pizza places that are owned by this company). I came during quarentine and was seated in an area that I didn't feel particularly comfortable in - I asked staff and they immediately sat me elsewhere and were super kind about it. The food is great (as always) - the pizza choices are always interesting and the flavor combos on most of the ones I tried have been amazing. The drinks are strong , despite them being a bit over priced (however everything is a bit expensive here). My only complaint is I saw quit a few tables leave and not being cleaned down prior to other people sitting down . This definitely provoked some concerns during COVID and cleanliness - that alone would make me not come back during all of this . read more

Coming in from O'Hare and need some sustenance and libations! My sister recommended this spot so decided to check it out. It's certainly a thriving and lively atmosphere great for large groups and a bar area that can fit many people. As an introvert I was overwhelmed but slowly got used to the scene with the fun music and strong drinks. You can order food at the bar so got the jalapeño homies which were not as spicy as I thought it would be - the cheesy center made it nice + mild. The medium sized pizza was ample enough for my sister and I - the cheese pizza was quite a sensation! Well-baked bread, oozing with cheese and simmering in a sweet sauce. There's a rooftop area but didn't have a chance to check it out. Our bartender Sam was so sweet, when he heard we were visiting family in the Windy City he offered a shot of some Chicago hospitality aka Malort. Honestly, this was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever experienced. Not only were the hosts and hostesses extremely sassy and rude to us, when we had a reservation, they did not seat our party until 20 minutes after our reservation time. When we were seated, the table did not fit our party size and the host said "the rest of you guys can stand until this other table opens." We luckily had some nice table neighbors to offer seats. While waiting for this table, the bartenders scolded and yelled at us. As fun as the decor was, I'm not sure I would recommend this restaurant to anyone besides the vibe. read more

We sat on the rooftop area at Paradise Park. Definitely a very cute (and instagrammable spot). Drinks were good - I got the Big Ass Lemonade (32 oz) which was worth the money IMO. The food came out pretty quickly & the service was good. Just a note: some drinks (ex. frosé) are only available downstairs - so keep that in mind if you are really particular about what you are getting. Ah yes, the ever so glitzy pizza wonderland in the heart of Wicker Park. Do the people usually come here for the eats? I'm willing to bet they're deciding to stop by for the spectacular set up these people at Paradise Park has created. I'm talking lights everywhere! Light the restaurant up and people will come, and boy did they come! I could not even get a proper table on an early Thursday evening. At least the bar seating is plentiful. You're into sports? Well, Paradise has you covered with TVs galore so you don't have to break your neck when you see your wonderful Chicago team blow yet another lead down the stretch. But you already know, the booze? They got it. The pizza? They got it, but let's talk about the rest of their menu. I was actually impressed with the set of meals they had here. Great appetizer options, (try the eggplant fries, completely unheard of in my world, but wow were they something!) you got your soups and salads, your calzones, and some baked chicken too! Love to see the variety in a top heavy restaurant like this. Bartender holding down the deck was very attentive so I give her nothing but props for that, and most of all the food was very inexpensive. If you're ordering pizza, they come in small, medium, and large sizes. Just an FYI, a medium will definitely satisfy two very hungry people, so choose wisely. This ain't your Domino's Pizza either, so you'll be surprised and pleased with the quality of this cheesy goodness. While the Park is flashy and stimulating, its menu walks the walk and will have you coming back for more. I can't speak on the drinks but they got a lot of beers on tap from what I saw and cocktails ready to serve. We had a 1:45 reservation to Paradise Park because I felt like it would be a cool spot to take my sister since it's her first time in town. After sitting around for 10 minutes, our friend Niko, takes our drink order. After another 10 minutes, we finally received our drinks (from someone else) and had to ask him to take our food order. We waited as our food trickled in, with no more appearances from Niko. He never came to refill our water pitcher that we had finished or ask if we wanted more beverages after we finished our first ones. After all our food had arrived (by other staff), we were able to catch him and order another beverage. After plenty of waisted time and being completely ignored, we asked for the check and two to go boxes. We waited 15 minutes for him to bring the check. And knowing his behavior, I placed the card in immediately, but he had already walked away. Then we had the pleasure of watching him talk to the front staff for 10 minutes while we waited to literally just leave. Safe to say at this point, I was absolutely disgruntled by the poor quality "service." So I was not feeling generous when it came time to tip. Which is wild because I have literally never tipped below 25%. But it was genuinely that bad. We paid and at this point were just waiting for boxes, which we expected to take forever by this point as well. But after 10 minutes, and watching the table next to us ask for boxes, and receive them immediately, we get his attention and remind him we are waiting for those boxes. To which he says that he would, but we "only tipped 9% and he doesn't work for free." And then storms off to the back. I go to the bar and ask for boxes, which I honestly should have just done the entire time because it would have made things go ten times faster. It was a frustrating experience, but Tony was very on top of things and handled the situation promptly, generously, and with a lot of care. It very much feels they are concerned with the customer experience and they handled the situation quite well. I do believe this is an isolated incident and not a reflection on the establishment. So for that reason, I will be back, and have chosen to still recommend paradise park as a very fun place to get good food and great drinks. read more

Went here with friends last weekend and it was awesome! Restaurant takes Covid seriously and require masks until you sit down, and if you get up you need a mask too. Friends and I ordered the Big A$$ Lemonade and it was very tasty! Mixed very well, although it was 32 oz I wasn't on the floor after one of them. Food wise we ordered a large "Knife and Forker" pizza and the slices were large, so good for the 4 of us! Paradise Park has super cute decor literally from the floor to the ceiling. I went with a group of 5 and we ordered pizza, wings, and salad. Everything was good but nothing stood out. There wasn't a wow factor that persuaded me in any way to return. Service was meh. They were pretty attentive at first, but then it took a while to ask for things once our food was served. Water wasn't refilled and it took quite a while to flag them down for the bill and for the bill to come back. I will say that it's very spacious here so it's great for groups and because their decor is awesome, it's great for cute photo-ops. read more

If you're looking for great food and an instagram-worthy backdrop, this is the place to check out! A group of friends and I came here for brunch on a beautiful warm day in September (rare, I know), and we were seated upstairs on their outdoor patio. Upon entering, we were each handed a free glass of champagne, which added to the free-spirited "paradise" ambiance of the place. Their staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. Given their COVID precautions, all staff members wore face masks and guests were asked to only remove masks while eating. Tables were also socially distanced and we felt very comfortable eating here given the careful precautions and the outdoor setting. For food, we ordered a Sammilton pizza and goat stix for the table, both of which really lived up to the hype! I ordered an avocado toast from their brunch menu, which came with a side salad. Although delicious, I did not find their avocado toast to be particularly unique or complex for it to be worth ~$13. However, I do feel that their pizzas are worth every penny as they are flavorful, unique, and baked to perfection! Paradise Park is a terrific place to grab a meal with friends and a fun place to take people from outside of Chicago to. THE VIBES ARE RIGHT. Visited paradise park a couple months ago with a friend. Indoor seating was still not allowed BUT this place designed the best outdoor seating environment I've seen so far. It essentially feels like indoor eating but with some tropical/fun vibes. Temperature + ID checks were done before entering. I was seated right away. This place takes social distancing very seriously. Before you enter, the hostess goes over the rules (what I can remember: wear your mask if you get up from your seat + whenever your server comes by). Once you are seated, your server repeats the rules and there is a printed version pasted on each table! Love this. We started off with a salad called "NORTH AVE"which is topped with mandarin oranges, avocado, bacon bits, onions, gorgonzola, and lemon poppy seed dressing. My friend and I are both vegetarians so we asked to cancel the bacon bits which was no issue at all. Ugh this salad was yummy! The tangy, sweet mandarin oranges paired with the lemon poppy seed dressing added such a unique flavor! This spot is so vegetarian friendly! They have a section dedicated for veggie pizzas (10 total options). We ordered the BIG TEVE (spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, mushrooms, oregano, feta, parmesan, and garlic & olive oil base) and the ZEPHY (portobellos, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and spinach-ricotta sauce). Both were great. Flavors spot on. Crust was fluffy but still had a bite to it. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the BIG TEVE. You can't go wrong with a garlic and olive oil base. Amazing. This place is so cute! I went with a couple friends on a Saturday. Lots of people were watching College football games around the large bar area. Many had ordered a drink called The Umbrella so we hopped on the bandwagon and ordered them too. It's a Radler with a bit of vodka mixed in. I really enjoy this place for a casual dinner! The vibe is really cute with twinkle lights and a cool bar set up. It's also nice that it's primarily 21+, unless kiddos have a guardian. Their pizza is pretty standard. It's good and they have some fancy ones if Chicago is a tough place to have really good pizza. It's like hipster pizza which hits the spot when that's what you're craving. The jalapeño homies keep me coming back though. They're essentially jalapeño poppers that are not breaded or fried and they're amazing. I started making them at home, they're so so good. I also really enjoyed their cheesy bread appetizer.
