Was on a vacation and wanted to do pizza for take out. There were few places but I ended choosing Paradise Pizza and so glad that I did! Ordered a large pizza and some wings.. The pizza was delicious and so were the wings! My dad was stuck on the wings he was devouring them he was really enjoying those wings! lol my mom really loved the pizza she's usually picky about pizza and I didn't hear any complaints from her she was too busy eating away and kept saying how good it was lol. They were saying I wish there was a Paradise pizza by where we live (we're from L.A.). The guys working were nice and friendly. I moved to Carlsbad four years ago from a lifetime on the East Coast. Why did I wait this long to try this pizza? The owner was delightful and endearing as he chatted with me while creating my order. The crust was light and perfectly crispy. The sauce was simple and flavorful - and the cheese had the perfect salty tang. DELICIOUS! And they don't skimp on toppings!! YUM! The inside is cute with only a few tables. If you prefer outdoor seating, there's a great picnic spot just a block away. All pizza is best piping hot - but this is my new favorite place... hands down. They have plenty of parking and they also deliver. Don't sleep on this one! read more

Don't waste your money. I know pizza I am from Chicago. I ordered a med well done mushroom onion sausage, well done crispy it $30 with tip for this tiny pizza it was cold rubbery and you can count the maybe 8 little pieces of sausage on there barley any toppings sauce tasted good. My suggestion is buy a Costco or Walmart take n bake pizza for $10 verses $30 for this pizza not worth it. read more

I go to Paradise all the time and their pizza is the best in town. I went tonight and got upcharged almost $10 for a large ($38 for a large..) and the worker couldn't even tell me why. The menu shows $28 for a large and all my other charges for pizza here were $28. When we left the counter he started gossiping about me complaining about the price to his coworker. Such a shame. Amazing buffalo chicken and cheesesteak pizza. I thought the cheesesteak could use a little more salt but otherwise delicious food. The guys that work there are also incredibly friendly. Good addition to the Carlsbad Pizza scene. Friendly staff and good menu. I would give them 3.5 stars as they have great salads including a beet salad and fresh burrata. Their pizza is pretty good, not as good as URBN or Privateer but a good thin crust and nice toppings with several unique varieties. The Nacho Libre with melted nacho cheese is quite tasty and unique. I definitely will be back. There isn't great seating so best choice to bring to go. read more

My acupuncturist is right next door so this is a regular stop. Note the thin crispy crust. Yep, that's the Italian style. But no, these people aren't Italian - they just know how to make good pizza. And... it's gluten free. Can't beat it. They have now opened a little gourmet market across the way, have to try that too. But PS, there is very little salt, which I like. Been going here on and off for years. Guess I had my last visit. Previously the pizza was just meh - ok but not something I would not wait in line for, better than dominos but just ok. Ordered antipasto salad and Italian hero. As a hero I must say, it did not have much on it. Decent bread but not much to it. Salad had one slice of salami and a few bulk pepperoni slices on it and a single cut up black olive the rest (about 95 percent) was plain lettuce which was crip and tasty but I wanted more with it. I added my own cheese (none on there) and meat (salami) and olives and had to create my own salad. Oh , they also added in a tip without asking. Really? Paradise is one of those little hidden gems in the Village that you don't always think of when pizza is brought up, I think simply because it is a little off the grid. This is a crime, however, because the quality of their ingredients, and their pies to boot, is like nothing else in the area. I'm a firm believer that a thin crust pizza should really only be eaten right after it's taken out of the oven. This is going to be a LOT easier now that they're expanding into the space directly adjacent to their kitchen. Along with a small wine bar and their cheese fridge, they're going to have difficulty rolling me out of there. Having said that, Paradise is (I think) the only place that delivers LATE LATE night, AS WELL AS TO THE BEACH...I mean... who else does that??? So eat in or delivery, they have you covered.
