After my very good Dentist who was a former dental surgeon, retired I reached out to friends to ask about a good dentist and was referred to Quincy Tan DDS, and have found the 45 minute drive is worth it ! My family has had a fear of Dentists for years and finding a dentist they would go to has been a struggle but not anymore! In fact my son who lives in LA will drive up or fly up for his appointments as he doesn't want to change Dentists anymore. I have had the most skilled, gentle dental hygienist here and my mouth feels so much less worn out as they use the most modern equipment and techniques. Dr Tan has always taken the time to explain my dental health, options and precautions to keep me on track for dental health and has improved my dental hygiene and health! I've had no billing issues and they have helped me navigate some of the health plan coverages my employer made. I've been going to Paradise Dental now for about 7 years and never seen a dog there . The girls at the front desk are helpful and friendly, and the lady who does the scheduling and billing has been super helpful, especially scheduling my son's appointments from out of town. I've only had one or two canceled appointments in almost a decade of seeing them 3-4 times a year myself , which they fit me in when I could. This is the very best Dentist office I've ever had and I am choosey on my Dentists with all my past Dentists being UCLA trained as this is one of the premier dental schools in America. (My dad wrote a text book during his PhD, about the study of dentistry, so I've been exposed to a more than average amount of information about dentistry). Smile! read more

Jessie is very rude mainly because of her I don't recommend anyone dealing with her she's a crook ! I've never been to a dental office that doesn't have a real live dentist there, working. I have been there three times and I've only seen a dentist once. They've told me to come back at a another time or another day. It's ridiculous! I have x-rays done, my teeth cleaned, and the hygienist tells me, everything looks good. Switched to this dentist since it's closer. Very nice and clean inside. Staff is super nice and my hygienist is great. Gave it 4 stars only because I feel like others may feel uncomfortable with a dog being there. They have a small dog on a little bed behind the desk but it lays there. Very good dog though. When I first transferred to Dr. Tan's office in Fairfield from the Vallejo location, everything went smoothly with my appointments. However, over the past few years, I've noticed a troubling pattern: scheduled appointments or cleanings are frequently canceled, or when I call to confirm, I'm told the appointment isn't on the schedule--even though I have a confirmation. This reflects poor business practices. read more

My mother had a wonderful experience at this office. She even referred my father to be seen there. On the day of his appointment, he was running late (sorry he's my babysitter), the office called him and asked if he was still able to come. He said he was on his way, they said okay. When he arrived (less than 10 minutes), he was immediately taken to the back to get started. After the cleaning was done, a staff member lady came to his exam room and angrily said "why would you make an appointment when you don't have insurance." My father stated that he does have insurance. The lady then continued to scold my father saying that they cannot find his insurance. My father then became upset and raised his voice at her and said I can leave and figure this out later. Few things: 1) Why would you see the patient if you didn't verify the insurance? 2) If he was late, don't you have a grace period of when you still allow the patient to be seen? 3) Did the lady racially profile my father and assume that he didn't speak good English and that is why she was "scolding" him? Then when my father raised his voice and spoke perfect English, she backed down? hmmm. When I came home from work, my father told me what happened. As a health care provider, I was furious. I attempted to call the office, they were closed. After work 2 days later, I visited the office and asked to speak with the office manager. The front desk lady said the office manager was not in and that she could take a message. I told the front desk lady what happened and she said that she was present that day and she assured me that no one yelled at my father. I immediately knew that the front desk lady was most likely the one who yelled at him, simply by her tone and her immediate denial of the incident. I called the office manager phone number, it was the Vallejo office number, left a message to have the office manager call me. Never received a call back, its been a few weeks. My father is the nicest man alive. So when he is treated poorly, my blood boiled. I hope this staff member does not treat other members like this. read more

Loved this place, and I truly loved how accommodating the staff is, but when I saw a dog roaming the office, I was not pleased. It was a tiny white dog who is supposed to be a support animal for the office manager, yet the dog roams around freely and in and out of sanitized cleaning areas! ESA's in California are required to remain with the person they are supporting and not pose a danger (or in this case) or health risk to those in the work place. With COVID cases still on the rise in the area and the possibility of transmission betweens humans and animals, I am no longer comfortable receiving care here. read more

I was experiencing a lot of tooth ache and was able to quickly get an appointment with Dr. Thai. She found that the pain was due to a molar that needed a root canal. I made an appointment to have the root canal done within 3 weeks. Dr. Thai took the time to make the necessary tests to find and explain to me the cause of the pain. This was my 1st time here. My dental hygienist was Eric, he was polite, social, welcoming and knowledgeable. Infection Control: Equipment was wiped down after xray, plastic cover was used for xray device placed in oral cavity, dental chair had plastic cover and disposed after each patient. Oral cleaning was thorough, flossed, polished but unsure why fluoride was not used but my daughter had fluoride but no polish. I never met the dentist which was concerning. Eric said he was busy and it is not common they come to assess the hygienist work after cleaning. I asked why don't they assess the work of the hygienist and assess each patient, let alone introduce themselves as the dentist. The front desk stated that it is upon the hygienist judgment if fluoride is needed. I feel that a practice should have set protocols for every patient that needs cleaning not upon the hygienist discretion. I was dissatisfied with this process and that the dentist was "busy," but had a moment to read my xrays. A physician interprets the xrays and communicates their findings with the patient whether there is no findings or area of concern. I will wait for my bill to make sure I wasn't charged for fluoride as this causes suspicion on their process and a possible violation on codes not met. Front desk called an hour later asking for me to come back to see the dentist and get fluoride as my insurance covered fluoride--I beg your pardon???? I asked for the MD to call me back. Further on Dr. Thai's dental service: Referred by the partnering dentist, Dr. Quincy Tan, I only learned that Dr. Maggie Thai was NOT an oral surgeon for extracting teeth until AFTER I was being numbed and she had started working on the extraction. What's a person to do in a position like that? How do you think? Dr. Thai also did not consider removing the crown on the tooth before yanking me almost out of the chair in agony. Consider my experience as having been total ignored as a human being with feelings and needs as the rest of the world. This is my true experience and you should take heed. UPDATED NAMES CHANGED from TAN TO THAI OF 4 24 - Getting a tooth pull by Dr. Thai of Fairfield? Look out! No discussion or consultation carried out by her assistant or the doctor before the procedure as you probably would like to do. Hardly any anesthesia without your fainting first.  Charge you without discussion for additional work. Expect payment. Leave you in shambles to yourself while heading on to the next patient. I've loved Dr. Thai and Dr. Tan ever since I started seeing them in Vallejo. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist and really don't like to go (but I have to to keep these pearly whites beautiful)! Anywho, my boyfriend started seeing them after my first few visits and he thinks they are fabulous too! We moved to Fairfield and were so thankful that they have an office there. They just opened up their new office and it's bright and modern. I love their receptionist, Jessie, who is always so sweet and accommodating when my schedule is not. The family and I have been seeing Dr. Tan and his staff for 3+ years now. All of my experiences have been great. Jesse at the front desk is welcoming and well organized. I have seen two of their hygienists (Ester and Kara) and both are top notch. Dr. Tan is professional, pleasant, and communicates well. Wait time is usually low and exams are not rushed. Their brand new office is beautiful and his equipment looks new. I've noticed that his staff turnover is low and the staff seem happy to be there. Another great thing is that his office was built brand new from the ground up for his practice. I think this demonstrates he plans on staying awhile. X-rays were rushed...I had severe pain and he prescribed a steroid!? that said take all 5 pills before surgery ?! left me in the chair and walked away! Love this dental office it's so clean and modern - their service is always great. The front desk manager Jessie is so kind and is always open to questions. I scheduled an appointment to have my chipped tooth fixed and I had a ton of questions about the process, the materials they used, prior work they'd done similar to mine....and so on. She answered all my questions and made me feel so comfortable when I came in for the procedure. Dr Tan saw me and was very professional and walked me through the steps of what she was doing. This place is by far the best dental facility I have been too! Jessie is one of the sweetest receptionists I've ever dealt with. I love Dr. Tan too! He is very light handed, he makes sure I'm comfortable before he starts any work, he asks about my family etc. We laugh while I'm there and I usually HATE the dentist. The facility is very modern and clean. I've been going to them for years, although I normally wait until there is a big issue and I'm in pain! My daugther was attending this dentist for 2 years for ortho. It has been hell. They kept prolonging the removal of her braces, they gave her retainers that didn't fit, and it is impossible to make an appointment when they cut their hours to 2 days a week!!! The last time my daughter was there to get her braces removed, she got fitted for her new retainer and was supposed to pick up her temporary that same day... well, I get a phone call that they didn't have the retainer ready and was going to mail it to us. In the short amount of time I've been with them, they have made me nothing but uncomfortable with the information they've given me and how they've treated me. I have never had anything wrong with my teeth, no cavities, nothing. The second I come to this place, they start telling me about all the new cavities I have every time I'm in the studio. I believed them the first time, and thought I was going in to get a filling on the right side of my mouth, and when I showed up they started to talk about doing my left side. I was VERY concerned that what I was hearing was different from what they said, but continued and got it done. Last week they told me I had two cavities that formed in the last six months. I knew instantly that this wasn't true, visited a different dentist in a different location and got it confirmed, I do not have any cavities. It's really a shame, I wanted to like this place. But save yourself the time and hassle, they over diagnosed me on what work I needed done. I'm very disappointed. read more

At first, I was happy to have found a very modern and clean appearing dental office near my home. Went in for an Invisalign Braces consultation. Was told that someone would call me later that day with the out of pocket cost. I called and left messages everyday for a week until I received my call back. I requested an written estimate to be email to me. I was told that they do not have the capability to email a document, only to fax one. Later that same day I recieved a call stating that Dr. Q. will not be taking on any new clients furthermore he will not be working there until they work out his schedule. Called his Vallejo office. They were surprised to hear this information. Ms. D promised to follow up with me. The very next day she left a message advising me to look for another orthodontist. What's really going on here. This is a $7000 job. I'm taking my business to an well established business. I have wasted too much time with this place. Either you do, or you dont do this type of work.
