The prices are great and the selection vast. I use cast acrylic for laser work and they will cut to fit your bed size with 24x24 and 12x24 already cut in a host of colors and colored mirrors too! They even have patterned stock and priced waaaay below what you'll find online. Custom size cuts are available and I probably wore out one of their saw blades today with my requests. I live in an old apartment built in the 20's, the unit has all casement windows and NO A/C. This makes it very tricky to install any kind of A/C unit. I did some research and found the best way to install a portable A/C unit in a casement is to install a piece of polycarbonate with a cutout hole for the vent. I found Paragon Plastics through yelp, I tried calling and emailing to inquire about my project but had no luck. They do not answer their phones, so I recommend going into the store. Once I made it to the store, Thomas was super helpful. He measured my existing screen and seemed to know exactly what I was looking for. He told me it would be a week and half wait time. But to my surprise it only took 1 week :) The screen was exactly what I was looking for, the dimensions were perfect and the hole for the vent was the perfect size. The guy in the warehouse did it on the spot for me and was really pleasant to chat with. I had the same experience with Olive just now on the phone. I especially like this supplier because they stock a lot more specialty materials than my local supplier. If they were closer, I'd use them more often! tldr: Hobbyist friendly, great customer service, able to do custom sizing, quick turnaround for orders, well priced. I've came to Paragon four years ago when I needed a clear top for my sci-fi computer desk. I asked if they can cut me a really long piece of .08in x 34 7/8in x 60 3/8in clear acrylic. They actually did it and the Acrylic fitted so perfectly. Well this year my convertible car's rear window finally cracked. I tried replacing it with clear vinyl from Jo-ann's but that yellowed and cracked in a week. I searched what's resistant to the sun's UV ray' yellowing and cracking effect. Acrylic. That's when I remembered Paragon had Acrylic. I messaged them on yelp and they answered same day and finished my order for pick up the very next day. The speed was quick but what was more impressive was the customer service. You can ask them any question and they would be more than happy to answer. They are also better priced than Home Depot, who barely even caries the sizes I needed. In addition, Paragon are so nice even to hobbyists like me. We needed over 600x PVC/Sintra dividers with a custom angle, and over 100x acrylic backplates for out hardware. I worked with Jose and he provide great service. I got my quote in a timely manner, and received a sample to test that very next day. Not sure if it was a slow time for them, but they finished my job FAST. Much faster than other companies estimated, it was within days, not weeks! I was looking for some giant sheets of plastic to build a protection screen during the Covid-19 outbreak and they had a lot of large sheets of polycarbonate on hand. These are much thicker and more durable than the stuff they have at Home Depot. Granted you need a truck to get the piece I ordered, but if you have power tools and you are willing to do the extra work the project is definitely much more economical. Wow! What a great selection of plastics. All I needed was a scrap piece of frosted or milky plastic for a project. Since it was a mock up project I wasn't too particular about the dimensions or thickness. They had what I wanted and gave me a great price. I don't really the gentleman's name, but he was very helpful and nice. Btw my mock up turned up great! I used a jigsaw to cut the 1/8" thick piece, which was pretty easy but one cut was a little wavy while the other one was pretty straight. read more
