We had an appointment for an estimate and they called 5 min before the appointment saying they'd be 30 - 45min. Late. We were having to take off work to meet them. We told them that time would not work us, and this guy said we'll, then call someone else! Can the be any more rude and disrespectful of people's time? We hired Joe to design and build our dream backyard, pool, spa and entire back yard. We visited Joe's offices about 8 times to revise our design using the latest virtual software that let us move lines and objects and see the results immediately. After a very detailed design process, we engages Paragon to build the pool. The result is spectacular (see photos). Throughout the process, Craig the construction manager stayed in constant contact with us with updates and excellent communication. Since we are pretty particular, we asked them to redo the finish on one section of the spa which was done meticulously and with grace. We've enjoyed our Paragon custom pool for over three years now! I must say what really impresses me about Paragon is the professional service after installation. Our pool has given us few problems but maintenance issues do arise from time to time. I can tell you in the two or three instances we have experienced, the Paragon staff has been awesome! The service work has been prompt and in each case efforts were made to minimize repair costs. We consciously spent a little more for our pool and this is exactly the reason why. With Paragon pools, We built a significant pool, spa, landscape, and kitchen. It included water and fire features. It is one of the pools pictured with orange lounge chairs. Paragon was excellent to work with. We were not easy to work for as we had big dreams and thru the process made several changes to our build. Joe and his son could not have been easier to work with. What we are most impressed with...4 years later ...they are as much our partner today, as the day we started to work with them on estimates. This sets them apart from many other teams. Many builders leave you a year after installation, with any pool there is ongoing learning and support to maintain the pool. Several times a year we depend on Joe for advise and he is always there like an extended member of our family. I consider Joe and his son experienced masters at what they do. As I read the other references, my response to those who await responses....true masters and partners are in demand and hard to find. Paragon is a company worth waiting for. I recommend Paragon Pools without hesitation. 11 years ago, they did my first pool. It was done well and it held up great, no problems whatsoever. Then, fast forward 11 years, I need a pool at my new house. I track down Paragon. They're still in business and they found my old pool records. First, the fact that they are still around through the worst recession, speaks volumes. My new pool is beautiful, done well, done on time, with great customer service. I called and a girl answered the phone. I said i wanted to schedule a estimate, so she says ok and then sends me to a voice message. It takes 2 days for someone to call me and they are unable to come when I am off work. I then make a appointment and my husband LEAVES WORK EARLY to do the appointment BUT NO ONE SHOWS UP. I call Joes cell to find out when he will arrive because it is past my appointment time and he tells me sorry he was sleeping. I definitely will not do a big investment like a new pool install with bad customer service like this. read more

I've had this pool for a little over a year now and I figured I would leave an update. Overall, I am extremely happy with my pool. It is gorgeous. But I must say that still after a year has passed I remember how terrible the service was. The final result was amazing and impressive, but the terrible service and their inability to follow the outlined schedule or stay in communication with me left a real bad taste in my mouth. To summarize, the pool is amazing and impressive. I would give the pool 9/10. I'm only rating it 9 since the spray color was not as blue as it was in the picture otherwise I would give it a 10. The service is a 4/10. Rating a 4 because the timeline issues, inability to communicate with me with important issues, and their hired employees sleeping in wheelbarrows in my backyard. I feel bad for leaving such a harsh review a year ago, but I was really disappointed in the way they handled business. I expected a more professional approach and follow through. read more

Been 2 weeks and I cant get these guys to return a phone call or estimate for the work. Not impressed.

Our friends decided to install a pool in January 2012 using Paragon Pools. Their primary home is in Connecticut, with a secondary home in Henderson, NV. Since we are permanent residents they asked us to periodically check on the progress of their project. The project began with clearing out plants to get the equipment in to dig the pool/spa. The first order of business was to dig for the irrigation and wiring that needed to be laid down prior to pouring decking. Additionally a gas line needed to be run for the pool equipment. The gas line was placed in the middle of their sidewalk. This would be a hazard. We took photos and mailed them to our friends. They spoke to Paragon Pools and told them this was a hazard and needed to be moved closer to the house. When they inquired why the foreman didn't catch this, they were told by Paragon Pools that they don't have a foreman to oversee the project. They did send the guys back to move the gas line. One of the next steps was to dig out the area for the pool/spa. Dirt, gravel and rocks were placed on the street in front of the owners' home. The company did not clean up after themselves, leaving remnants on the street. We took photos and mailed them to our friends. Once again they spoke to Paragon Pools. After the pool/spa was dug, it was time to gunite the pool/spa. This would enable Paragon Pools to lay the flagstone and tile as part of the pool/spa. The flagstone was laid, and when we went to take photos, there were jagged edges everywhere which ultimately if someone was in the pool the person could get cut by the sharp edges. Additionally, the flagstone was uneven and looked sloppy. Paragon Pools sent their construction workers out to fix the uneven flagstone pieces and soften the edges. It is April at this stage. The deck was poured next. Fortunately, that went smoothly. Next step was to lay the quartz the owners selected. The quartz was laid and they began to fill the pool/spa. We had to go down twice a day to check on the water and brush the pool. We brushed the pool for 7 days, twice a day. We took photos of the pool and sent them to our friends. When they talked with Paragon Pools, Paragon Pools admitted that the quartz sprayed was the wrong color. In the middle of the 7 days, probably day 4, we told our friends that the spa was losing water, there must be a problem. They contacted Paragon Pools and told them this problem and convinced Paragon Pools to replace the quartz with a PebbleTec product. This meant that the quartz had to be chiselled out, the pop ups removed and then schedule for the PebbleTec to be sprayed. When I checked how the chiselling was going, I discovered that 3 tiles had been broken. I let the owners know. We were told the PebbleTec would be sprayed one day. We checked to see if it was completed and it had not be sprayed as planned. We let the owners know this. When they spoke with Paragon Pools they told them if weather permitted, they would be there 3 days later. Once again we checked and the work had not been completed. We let the owners know this. After they spoke to Paragon Pools they were told it would be completed the following Wednesday. We contacted Paragon Pools and said how could they move it to Wednesday when there were supposed to be high winds. Paragon Pools then told us that there was a pecking order, others had been impacted by the high winds and the others would be addressed first. Are you kidding? It is now May. The guys who sprayed the PebbleTec stated that high winds don't impact spraying and they would be back on Saturday morning to acid wash the pool and begin to fill it. I stopped by Saturday afternoon at 3:15. The pool had not been acid washed and they had not begun to fill the pool. We let our friends know. They said they would call Paragon Pools on Monday. Paragon Pools told them that the guys doing the work told them they were out that Saturday morning. Paragon Pools asked if we could go check. My husband ran down there as it was Monday at 11:00. What we found to our dismay, the contractors probably came after I had been there that Saturday, did the acid wash and began filling the pool. The pool overflowed, and flooded the yards that had just been landscaped. There was debris everywhere. My husband turned the pool system on to get the pool to fill the spa and take water out of the pool. We called our friends to let them know what we found. They called Paragon Pools and Paragon Pools told them we should not have turned the system on and that we need to go back and turn the system off. At this point we told our friends to tell Paragon Pools to get their butts there as soon as possible. We are not being paid by Paragon Pools to do their job. Paragon Pools is an unreliable company. The owner will tell you things he thinks you want to hear, is inconsistent in what he says. If you use them make sure you oversee the project, because they won't. read more

Terrible customer service. I called for a quote. Scheduled a appointment for the rep to come out. The day of the appointment I got a phone call from them saying they had to cancel my appointment. He then told me he can give me some information. Rambled off a number and that was it. No reschedule. No want to come out. The phone call made me feel like I was a inconvenience. read more

We paid 48K for our pool, which is beautiful! However don't even ask about the lack of customer service or follow through when it comes to this company. The final inspections were never signed off when they came to do the final sign off. 3 visits from Southwest Gas before we could have it turned on. We found a leak in our jacuzzi less than 3 months after the installation was complete. We understand that new construction sometimes has faults but we had to chase Joe the owner down for over 7 months to acknowledge the problem let alone fix it. We were unable to use the jacuzzi or pool for weeks on end due to this problem. Numerous phone calls, dropping the ball and finger pointing towards the subcontractors was all we recieved. We were expected to "troubleshoot" the problem ourselves and he told us that he did not believe there was a leak at all. Finally we had to call a leak detection company to find it for us and only then did he take any action. Looking for a gorgeous pool.. call Paragon.
