I talked to and got quotes from countless other contractors and there is NO comparison between Gary and his team, and all the others. Absolutely incredibly smooth process, open communication, extremely engaged and on-point with every single aspect of the process. I also completely lacked the knowledge of what options existed and what I should do. The day before Thanksgiving, our home flooded. What should have been the start of the holidays turned into an incrediblystressful and overwhelming experience for our family Then Gary and his crew showed up. From the first moment, they didn't treat our house like just another job. They treated it like it mattered. Every person who came into our home was respectful, professional and unbelievably hardworking. We always felt comfortable having them in our house. During one of the most stressful moments for our family, they were steady, kind, and solution-focused. Gary communicated with us every step of the way and made sure we always knew what was happening next. And what they created for us is honestly beyond anything we imagined. Our kitchen went from a standard builder-grade space to the most beautiful kitchen we've ever seen. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible. Gary installed a stunning waterfall countertop with seating that completely changed the way the space functions. Now people can gather in the kitchen, sit together, and talk while meals are being prepared. It genuinely feels like our kitchen is twice the size it was before. Augustus did a fantastic job with the flooring and tiling. The work is flawless, and he even put in a beautiful flower mosaic above the stove that has become one of the most special details in the entire kitchen. James, the plumber, installed an amazing smart sink that we absolutely love. It's one of those features we didn't even know we needed, and now we use it constantly. But what really makes this team special isn't just their skill--it's who they are as people. During the flooring work, Ian noticed that one of my husband's favorite fish had jumped out of the temporary bucket it was being kept in while the work was happening. He immediately rescued it and got it back into the water, saving it. It may seem like a small moment, but it meant so much to our family and says everything about the kind of people they are. And even though it was the holidays, Augustus stepped in again and again to solve unexpected problems and keep everything moving forward. That level of dedication is rare. We will never use Peak again for the following reasons: 1. Time of performance, not meeting deadlines. The project that was scheduled for 7-10 business days took 56 days, with several days of inactivity in-between work. The longest break in-between work was 5 days, but there were plenty of 3 or 4 day breaks. After two weeks of this, we knew that there was no way the project would be completed on time. 2. Useless communication. He communicated via phone or group text messages but the information was useless. 90% of the time he would show up at a different time than he had originally communicated and no-shows happened as well. 3. No integrity. When you ask him why his employees or the subcontractor did not show up to work in your house, he will tell you all kinds of stories. But the truth is the employees were working on other projects. 4. Poor quality assurance from the fabricators/ subcontractors Gary uses. First fabricator subcontractor did a horrible job installing quartzite on the fireplace. They used dark grey caulking without asking me for permission. Employees were fired and afterwards showed up twice at our house asking all kinds of questions. Second fabricator's employees fixed the fireplace but they also installed dark grey caulking without asking for permission. 5. Poor project oversight. * Gary's project management skills are very poor. He was hardly ever in the house to check on work. As our relationship started going downhill due to our frustration with delays and miscommunication, he stopped showing up at all. The last time he walked in, he didn't even say "hello". Final walk-through was conducted by his employee on October 31. 6. Lack of respect for the house. * The house has been trashed for 56 days. Peak GKG uses cheap plastic to cover the floors and the plastic that was used to cover the arch opening between the master bathroom and the bedroom got torn on the 3rd day. There has been dust and dirt everywhere. The bottom of the tub was not covered with anything and fabricators and the plumber were in and out of the tub, with work boots on, leaving marks on the bottom of the tub. I finally bought blue tarp and put it in to protect the bottom of the tub. 7. Little advice when it comes to the technical aspects of the project. * Gary met me at Faucet's Galore to help me pick the shower system and faucets for the master bathroom remodel project. * When the shower column was supposed to be installed, he did not advise me that the column with hose and the controller/mixer should not be installed in a straight line, one under the other, because the hose from the shower head would be right in front of the controller. The store owner helped me correct the issue. 8. Poor customer skills. * One day when he was in our house and I asked him, based on his earlier text message, what time his employee would come over "tomorrow", he responded by saying: Magda, I am trying REALLY HARD not to get mad with you." I guess they show up whenever they want to and customers should not be asking questions. * He has a temper and he does not seem to understand he is in a customer service business. Gary White is always right. * He seems to be a cool guy when you meet him but that lasts a week, maybe two. Then he shows his true colors. What was supposed to be a quick, exciting and relatively easy bathroom remodel project, turned into 8 weeks of stressful time for us. Hindsight is 20/20. If I had known, I would have never signed a contract with Peak. He is a salesman who over promises and under delivers. We would not recommend Peak GKG to anybody. Do your homework. Know your rights and his responsibilities. I want to make sure and mention Gary's team, Augustine and Houston are both professional and personable. My family and our schedule can be difficult to work with but Gary's guys were always understanding. Right from the start you get the feeling that Gary is just a good guy, he listens to everything you say and has conversations with you like a good friend. Listen, I can be super picky and to be honest I am a little cheap at times but Gary never once blinked when I was being a pain. We met with Gary and and one of his supervisors on August 27 and instantly knew we were in good hands The agreement came over on September 3rd and we signed and dropped off keys for the house Gary put us up in an Airbnb near the home so we could be gone with our dog. The agreement was for 6 to 8 weeks and we knew the horror stories of contractors taking months on full remodels but we were prepared. We had new cabinets and countertops in kitchen. Flooring throughout, interior painting, media wall, and 3 bathroom remodels. We did leave one with a tub But the tile we had was beautiful for that bathroom. Only hiccup was the company that we bought the products from MSI took an extra 2 weeks on the slabs and one bathroom tiles, but Gary kept pushing on and kept working. One item he talked us about was adding the bright white recessed lights throughout the house (88 total) and we got rid of the yellow looking lights and what an amazing transition! It made a world of difference throughout. The enclosed master bathroom was exactly what we asked for and turned out beautifully. All of this work and with the delay for the slabs and tiles, they finished in 27 days! Yes 27 days and we moved in on October 5th. read more

We hired GKG to add an accent wall and fireplace in our house. it's something that we have been thinking of doing for years but never found a company that we felt comfortable with. So many options out there but people don't show up for consultations or the job. We met with Gary at first and we could just tell that he took pride and ownership in his business. These guys did a great job and we didn't pay for the job until it was completed. We had countertops, cabinets, Tile floor and three showers done in less then 4 weeks. We met with one of the brokers at this company and they took us to look at the tile flooring and the countertops slabs and we got them for well below price that was showing to the public. We did pay for the materials after they were brought to the site but nothing else! I think they installer of the countertops was Manny and he did such an amazing job. They will treat you right and unlike contractors, these guys work with putting contractor teams in place and do the overseeing of the jobs and make sure guys are on site.
