Long story short. We had a roof leak. Major damage to walls, carpet, shutters in the master bedroom. Paragon came out within a couple days, hopped up on the roof, and found 2 broken tiles. They fixed them on the spot, ran a water test and no more leak! I had them do roof maintenance ie: caulking etc. Price was 1000 less than another roofing company too! I am a happy customer read more

total disaster, my roof flat and shingle, was only 5 yrs when i had multiple problems, they installed the shingle roof with no roof vents. it caused my roof to deteriorate like it was 20 yrs old. found out from the city of laguna hills that they never applied for a permit. real nice. no wonder the job was not done according to code. I asked christine ryan to look at my flat roof as it was leaking. when she came over , she had to borrow my ladder,didnt have one on hand. very professional. it still leaked after another rain. I called her but she never showed up to try to fix it the second time. I dont think she knows zilch about roofing, just collects your money and turns her subcontractors loose . She cant possibly check their work, as these things keep happening. Paragon Roofing gave me an excellent quote to replace my 30 year old existing composite roof on my Costa Mesa home. Christine Ryan, the owner, personally worked with me to select the new material that would provide another 30+ years of protection and looks great too. She was highly efficient; got her team on my job asap, got the dumpster into the driveway, it was big enough that I also took advantage of it and cleared out lots of old junk - that was a bonus. The workers did a great job, accommodating a tight timeline as well. There were a few challenges with the old roof and we had to replace a few rafters. They got it done promptly and I would recommend them. Seeing a few reviews that are a bit harsh on here, but I did not have any of those problems. I found the company to be great and Christine to be highly responsive before, during and after the sale. Paragon was recommended by another friend who has a tile roof that was installed by Paragon over 15 years ago, and that roof is still looking great and protecting my friend's home. Buyer beware - terrible work, bad service, and dishonest. We've had an unfortunate experience with Paragon Roofing that has proven to be dangerous, costly, and very unpleasant. They installed a new roof on our home, and some time later a cement shingle fell off, striking the pavement in an area where our child often plays. We called Paragon who sent someone out to look at it. They reported that there were 10 broken tiles on the roof, and that "someone must have been walking around on the 2nd story roof to cause this damage", which is a ludicrous and completely false statement. The person we were speaking with, Christine, then tried to get us to pay them more money to fix their bad work. When we refused and asked them to warranty it, Christine threatened that the roof would leak and cause more damage, then completely stopped responding once she realized she couldn't scam us into paying more. We called out a more reputable roofer for an inspection. That inspection showed that there were loose tiles with NO FASTENING AT ALL on the roof. There were also 5 broken tiles, not the 10 that Paragon attempted to scam us for, and the inspector advised that they were mostly likely broken when Paragon employees were walking around on the roof. Furthermore, on the trip, they had used nails that were too short and didn't reach through the tile to surface below. So the cement tiles on the trim were completely UNATTACHED, which explains why they had suddenly fallen off. We had to pay another roofer to do the repairs as Paragon refused to respond once they knew they couldn't defraud us into paying more money. We've as a result filed a complaint with the licensing board, as well as pursuing legal options. Please beware - this company will do terrible work, and then try to scam you for more money. read more

Giving false Statements making their competitors look badTo protect their wrong roofing installation

Everything begins perfect. Called Christine and come to my house for a quote even she's in sickness. I wrote the check for deposit the day she quoted because I was impressed by her energy and sales talk. Then she assigned a perfect guy to me start the work at that week. She put the trailer in the evening in front of my garage by herself. So heavy. But her guy skipped the last area because of "it's too steep". I wanna re-roofing as a whole and I pay for the whole roofing, right? Christine talked to him and the guy did eventually. She collected the check then. One day earlier in Oct., a piece of tile slid down. Of course I called Christine, only five months passed during her promised 10-year warranty, she said her guy are busy and no one could have a look. I called again three days later. She promised to give me call then that she would have a chance to look at it as her team had work around my area. No call in anymore. I called her again and again, I was put into message box and box was full which means no message recorded. Very disappointed. I called other roofer to have fixed it. When they take away the tile, we knew the reason for sliding. No nail in that " steep area". Christine's guy put the tile on the roof only without nails. read more

Two flat roofs - Costa Mesa, CA. OMG!! Where do I start?? Christine Ryan is really pleasant on the telephone - but completely out of her element when it comes to doing a roof. It took several attempts to get a quote. It took countless days for them to actually do some work. It took countless weeks for them to do the majority of the work. And to add insult to injury; Removed and discarded my gutters (who is gonna pay for them?); Painted my brand new brown drip edge with white paint (who is gonna fix that?); Claims to have done additional work (unauthorized) and then tried to charge extra (just bad business); Roof vents still missing (horrible); Debris still in yard (unbelievable); Poor workmanship (pictures only tell part of the story / nightmare). Then we had to pay for a stop payment on a check because we were told the check never arrived. But The Biggest mistake we made: Trusting the sales pitch and low price. The Second Biggest mistake we made: We paid prior to completion of all the work. Here is an important tid bit: Paragon Roofing DOES NOT do any of their own work. 100% sub contractor. Thieves!!
