Great food with great service. Beautiful restaurant. One of the best filets I've ever eaten. Fun interesting appetizers.

We had the most incredible dining experience here. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, we went with a large group and everyone was blown away! The food was amazing and the house bread was life changing. You have to try this place if you are in town!

Fellow campers recommend this place! Doesn't look like much from the outside. We went on a Thursday at 5:15. We like to eat early and avoid crowds. We made reservations and we're seated promptly. The inside was very nice. Seemed classy and high-end but our booth was a little tight. Thankfully, we aren't big people. Our server was Michael. He was very friendly. Maybe in his 40s? We think it was his first week... We ordered champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. He came back to ask, "was that the Decoy Merlot you ordered?" No, the Decoy champagne. He came back but didn't know how to open the bottle or pour it. He was very apologetic. He brought an amazing "focascia-type" bread that was sitting on a plate of melted butter. I tried not to pig out but we finished it!! Our dinner arrived but not our salad! He was again very apologetic and didn't k ow what to do. I said not to worry as the bread had filled us up. Then we got down to business. My hubby ordered pasta with shrimp and scallops. It was simply perfect! I ordered the crusted halibut with fresh grilled veggies and switched to the mushroom risotto (instead of the corn risotto). Every bite was amazing. The halibut was perfectly cooked!!! The vegetables were crisp tender like I prefer. I took at least 1/2 home. Just as good the next day. Michael brought us 2 chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary! How sweet! Now for the not so good... the bread was $5 (which is not stated on the menu that we could see). Not a deal-breaker because as I mentioned, we ate every bite! BUT, we were also charged for the strawberries. We thought that should have been complimentary as we didn't order them and maybe to make up for the mishap with the forgotten salads. I think a more experienced waiter would have handled it better. No, we didn't want to "speak with a manager" as I think he really needs this job and we had a delightful meal regardless. A little expensive. Special treat. Next time I would probably ask them to skip the bread and refuse the $5 strawberries!

I'm a Seattle Lady visiting a friend and he took me to his favorite restaurant. I was excited to check it out! The place is nicely sized, with outdoor parking. Clean. The establishment is dim, yet well lit and romantically decorated. We sat next to the bar with a great view of the kitchen. Hot plates going out and everyone's dinner looked amazing. We had the loveliest waitress named Josie! She's the best! She told us the specials and we were sold! We got the freshly baked, personalized, bread that's deliciously slopped in this dill herbed butter. A must try! Our steaks were perfectly cooked, the wine selection went perfectly, and our beautiful waitress ended the evening with complementary chocolate covered filled strawberries, insane! That was an unexpected treat... Highly recommend.

A great dining experience with top notch service. We had the most delicious Lobster Wonton appetizer along with the Stuffed Mushroom Spoons (not our favorite), then two of us four, had the Blue Cheese Wedge Salad (great), then our entrees. Service was great, and most of the food was too but would not order the Roasted Rosemary Chicken again as it was dry. The other 3 entrees were excellent! Next time I might just order the Lobster Wonton appetizer and the amazing Wedge Salad with a nice glass of wine. A wonderful restaurant!

This is one of the very few places where I feel the 4.5 star rating is real! Amazing talent here, from the management to the chef! Let's count the ways..... the ambiance is very warm, dimly and indirectly lit in amber light, and the decor is kept dark and in wood. Loved it! The service I got was top notch with personable touches. No Martini served warm or food served cold. This was attentive and on point. The food was delightful- on this cold, rainy night in October, I felt it for the baked brie followed by the pork chop with apples and oh boy, did this hit the spots. Best baked brie in years.... and the pork from the local Snake River Farm was delicious. This all was framed by the Dirty Goose Martini and some beer on tap (to rehydrate for health reasons of course) and ended up being a very wonderful and stylish dining experience.

We've always loved Satay but this last time was exceptional. We had a party of six and we were seated at 6pm and had excellent service through a busy dinner hour. My daughter and her husband were visiting with their two sons. To start with the hostess was super friendly and seated us in a fantastic spot! My son-in-law is still raving about the atmosphere and where we were seated, how comfortable and spoiled we all felt. The food is never anything less than exceptional. Our serving staff was attentive and provided the best possible experience we could've asked for. This is the type of experience that we want when we bring family to the area. You guys are the best of what North Idaho has to offer as far as food and atmosphere goes.

Tonight was our first visit & I was overly pleased (hubs not 100%). We sat on the patio, it was quite warm since it was 90 outside, but still lovely in the shade. We started with the mushroom spoons, and I have never had such an appetizer. They melt in your mouth as they are so creamy & delicious. There are sauces underneath the mushroom filled spoons one; spicy & one; sweet and tangy underneath the spoons so you swipe them across onto the bottom of the spoon & then pop em in your mouth. I made the comment that we might need to go back, sit @ the bar just to order these again for happy hour. The hubs then had the blue cheese wedge salad, large size and easily shareable- I had a few bites! I ordered the halibut and wowza- it was a party in my mouth with the corn risotto in every bite. It was a great portion size as you can see in the picture. I had left overs on my plate! The hubs got the rack of lamb, which was very tough unfortunately so he could only eat about half. He wouldn't order it again & wanted to share his feedback with the waiter since it was his suggestion. Lastly but definitely not least- I wanna brag about our waiter (I don't recall his name- either Ryan or Erik). He was incredibly informative, addressed all of our questions about the menu, made suggestions on his faves etc. He was very friendly, sharing where he had lived prior close to us in AZ, just found out great news about his growing family moving status, etc.. Great guy! Would have received a 5 star but again the hubs meal was only about 50%

Blown away by the menu, cocktails, flavors, ambience and service at Satay! The most solid 5 STAR experience. Bestie and I enjoyed dinner here this past Saturday evening. Satay couldn't be anymore perfect if they tried. This is the type of place I'd imagine driving to town for if I lived in Spokane or anywhere within an hour or even two! Every single bite of every dish was 5 STAR. I'll admit I am not easy to please and I quite usually have something to say about something. Ask my son! ;) but Satay nailed it! I ordered the huckleberry mojito, which was the most refreshing choice and paired great with dinner. We started with a Thai peanut chicken satay, shared a delish Gorgonzola and pear salad accompanied by a sensational loaf of bread drenched in a dill butter sauce, and split the Halibut with veggies and a roasted corn risotto. Omg!!!! I want to proclaim this is my new favorite restaurant. It was such a lovely meal and time with my bff! If you're looking for the tastiest, most special dinner in town I'm certain this must be the place. Can't wait to return!

Satay has been a recommendation by many and I can certainly see why. The quaint decor, food and wine list is spectacular. Great restaurants here are few and far between but this one is a top 3 contender. Everyone loved their dishes and the salads were amazing!

One of the best date night places I've been to! Their food is always good and service is always pleasant. Definitely not the cheapest restaurant but if you're wanting to celebrate a special occasion it is worth every penny!

The food is outstanding! The customer service was excellent! My server was Cody. He took the time to make sure we had a great time and that we enjoyed our food. Make sure you make reservations for your dinner plans- this place can get busy. We also had some cocktails and i will recommend them. So delicious!!

I am confused on what the cash discount is? A discount is the bill discounted not the same price and then you charge more if it's visa. Why not have an actual discount for cash and not on visa

Hello, the price on the menu is the cash price. If you pay using a card there is a non-cash fee added to the bill. It goes straight to the credit card processing company and Satay does not get any profits from it. We strive to keep our prices low so…

I'm confused ? Are you charging a 3.5% additional fee if I use my credit card? I look forward to your reply as I'm considering booking this week.

We offer a cash discount for cash or business check. There is a 3.5% added to the bill if you pay with credit card

Are you open on 25th December 2019?

No we close early on Christmas Eve and are closed on Christmas day, so that our employees can spend time with their families. Happy holidays!

This is the story, it is not really about wine.. I crested the drive up to Stellas on the hill, truck's RPM held at 3000, four vehicles pass on the left exiting (3 full of ladies with short cropped white hair and the 4th a black Maserati entitled to the center section of the narrow twisting mountain road), edging my wheelbase close to the drop off on the right side. I arrive to Stella's on the hill to a 3/4 full parking lot. And (angel's singing) a prime spot opens up to my right, 3 more silver pumas leaving in a Lincoln Navigator. I pull in as they exit. An attendant comes up to my window informing me "we are at capacity", but 5 cars just left in the last minute I question, "yeah we are not letting people in" he replies. I explain the significance of both birthdays; "yeah that sucks for you man.." That's (shitty errhmm cough cough) fair, I think to myself, a business does have a right to refuse service. I text my spouse, and tell her I will have to abscond from the parties. "Dude it's hot and I had the worst wrap ever. Super nice view but you really aren't missing anything. If it wasn't for Dr Phil and the Enablers (the band), I would have already left." She tells me, and informs my retreating vehicle that I should grab a couple tables at Wine House. A short drive later, I park in the lot for Jimmy's down the street, the sign says I will be towed but 'Jimmy wouldn't do that' I mouth to myself. Wine house was 70% full with a private event being held in the interior space, NOT AGAIN I think. But the owner, sensing my confusion, politely ushered me out to a partially shaded double table in the front. My wife and 7 friends arrived minutes later. We had wine and ate little cheeses. The server even offered to replace my $15 Graham Beck South African bubbles with a $5 brown bag beer free of charge. Thinking, incorrectly, that I had wanted the bargain mystery beer, and not a light effervescence of brut wine dancing in my mouth, as I sat in the sun. We watching other parties on dates, 30-somethings having 'girl dinner', maybe an interview dinner for a nanny (?); it was a very fine evening. The wine was good. The owner of Wine House was attentive and visited the table twice, which was a nice touch. The crowd was good, sociable and attractive. Also they let me sit, while Stellas' didn't even let me park after 5 cars left. And Jimmy didn't tow me.

Very nice new interior, the owner was walking around and talking to everyone, good service. My husband and I came here for lunch on a weekday afternoon after searching high & low for a restaurant that serves organic produce and healthy options. He has an auto-immune condition, and the menu is great for individuals looking for a place to support an anti-inflammatory diet. This is not a place for those who consider themselves big carnivores, but it is good for those who are vegetarian or vegan. Expanding their selection could make it more palatable for all, but for now I think the clientele who will embrace and enjoy the food here is limited. It might have been a bad day in the kitchen, but our food was so salty it was not edible. The food looked fantastic, colorful and full of vegetables - but it didn't taste good. We would go back because the menu is promising, but I would lean toward ordering moderate / minimal seasoning. We took the food to go, and it was much better once we mixed it with eggs and other veggies to dilute the amount of salt. I wish they would incorporate meat into the menu, such as organic free-range beef or chicken- but, that's less of a complaint and more feedback to the restaurant on how they may be able to broaden their audience. I don't recommend Plant Gossip for large groups or gatherings with varying tastes, it is not one of those places where everyone can find something they like on the menu. Other than our very salty meal, service was very friendly and relatively quick. The location is very walkable from DT CDA and the place has a nice vibe. If you're looking for healthy, plant-based options - this is the spot!
