I visited here once late last year and a jewel fell off of one of dresses. They said they would keep the dress and I would be called once it was repaired. Never got a call, then changed management late last year and after that I can't retrieve my dress. They do a good job as far as dry cleaning goes, however they are a bit on the higher price side. I started taking my clothes to Paramount Cleaners because it is conveniently located less than a block away from where my wife and I live. They are competitively priced and their service is professional and timely, which includes next day service. All that adds up to a FOUR STAR review. But I had an occasion when they went above and beyond what I would expect from a business. Paramount Cleaners is a cash/check only business. I dropped in on my walk home from work to pick up some shirts before they closed. I needed one of the shirts for the next day. I didn't have any cash with me, and I never carry checks. Without any excuse or pleading from me, the owner let me take home my shirts without paying, letting me know that next time I passed by I could pay the tab. My wife dropped in the next day and paid the balance. In a big city, I thought that was a neat 'neighborhood' thing to do. read more

I've had a winter coat cleaned with buttons replaced here as well as the routine dry cleaning services. I like that they will deal with leather too as I've had some cleaners turn items away. The fees are reasonable and I was happy with how my clothes looked. I would give five stars if they were a green cleaners with toxic free options. read more

I took my wedding dress to be cleaned here. Costs $100, $150 if you want it boxed. It was quite dirty on the bottom and had a tiny smudge on the front. I specifically asked if the bottom could be made clean and was told yes. Fast forward to 4 weeks later. I come to pick up my dress. It's hanging in front of me in a clear warp and as I start looking at it, it turns out to be in worse shape then when I brought it in! I notice that it's still dirty and when I ask about it the girl says that the guy they gave it to "ran it through the wash 3 times and was scared to do it another time bc he didn't want to damage the dress" (what?!!! I could've ran it through the wash! You do no run a wedding dress with specific areas of dirt through the wash!) soo then I decided to look at the dress. There was a button from the bustle missing and a couple loops from the bustle frayed. There was a hot pink stain on the sleeve which was definitely not there before .. and anyway if it was lipstick I'm sure it would've washed off in the "3 washes" the sleeves looked frayed and by the time I came home and took the dress out to have a closer look they turned out to be ripped, shrunken (barely fitting me), had the lace coming off, and one of them had a hole in it. I did ask for a discount and after the employee called the manager she gave me a $25 dollar discount and offered to sew the buttons back.. needless to say I decline .. and am now hoping someone to not only clean the dress but repair the damages. I would most definitely not recommend this place and caution people to take their dry cleaning elsewhere. read more

It's a dry cleaner, so don't expect much. 3 stars for price, $12.50 for a suit which seems higher than average? Iono, I haven't been to many dry cleaners. 5 stars for friendly service. This is my everyday cleaner and they are amazing. I dropped off my wedding dress (handmade, one of a kind) six months after the day with a red wine spill down the front, grass stains across the hem and even ripped in the back. For $60 it returned repaired and spotless. I'm impressed beyond belief. I had a few buttons sewn back on my coat and a small repair done to one of the pockets. The first time it was done very poorly, and after I asked them to fix it they didn't have it ready for me after missing 2 time commitments. When the owner brought it in during my 4th attempt to get my coat back, she was rude and dismissive to both me and her employee. read more

First impressions are important. It decides whether or not you will continue the business relationship. I have to say, it didn't start out on the right foot. I went to drop off my items first thing in the morning. The door was open, the sign said open, the lights are on, but no one was around. I stood there for 5 minutes to give the staff a chance to come back. I yelled "hello". Nothing. No one was there. I could have walked away with a whole new wardrobe given what was hanging around. Not that there was much there - probably an indication of how business is going. Rather than waste another 5 minutes of my time, I left with my uncleaned clothes in hand, never to return. read more

It's close, convenient (for me), and timely. They are reasonably priced and they make good on their delivery time even if it's a day turnaround. Some other dry cleaner will have to offer free donuts or coffee for me to walk more than the 50 yards I walk to Paramount. read more

I moved into 701 S Wells building recently, spring is coming so I decided to dry clean my favorite jacket. Paramount Cleaners were my choice since it's the nearest. When I picked it up and unpacked it at home I almost cried - it had nice soft snaps all over, on shoulders and front pockets too - all melted badly, with some of the snap material actually melted into the fabric near the snaps, it completely ruined how the jacket looks. But that's not the worst thing. I came back right away with a complaint, asking to fix what they did - guess what they told? That I brought it to them in this awful condition!!! I dont write reviews often but this place is deserving of one. If this review prevents just one person from going to this place, it will have served its purpose. I received back four shirts and two pairs of pants from Paramount and dropped off 3 more shirts that same day to be dry cleaned. The next morning I got up to go to work and found that all my shirts were wrinkled, not wrinkled like I just pulled them out of a laundry hamper but wrinkled as in pressed in the wrong places. Creases were wrong down the sleeves and there were creases in random locations, on the front of my shirt sand some on the back shoulders of my shirts. The shirts were unwearable in there current state. I went back to complain about the shirts and to get the other 3 shirts I dropped off back before they ruined those also, but unfortunately the lady that runs the shop (very sweet and nice I must say) doesnt speak any English so I left empty handed. I went back later that week and retrieved my other three shirts. These shirts were brand new, and had never been worn before. This morning, I began packing for work and found that one of my shirts has stains on it in several location. This is unacceptable. This is without question the worst cleaners I have ever had this misfortune to use. I could never recommend using them. read more
