Parisson's Italian Restaurant is truly a gem! From the moment we walked in, everything from the warm, welcoming hostess to our attentive waitress made us feel right at home. The food brought back that nostalgic taste of home-cooked Southern Italian cooking the kind of authentic flavors that are comforting, familiar, and incredibly satisfying. And the meatballs were absolutely amazing! I am a very hard critic to please when it comes to Italian food, and these definitely impressed me! The restaurant was clean, the service was wonderful, and the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality and portions. There's also a special connection for me: my sister worked for Parisson's at another location over 40 years ago, and it was so wonderful to see that the food and tradition have continued and, if anything, only gotten better! From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. Don't change a thing, Parisson's! Keep doing exactly what you're doing and preserving those wonderful Italian flavors and traditions. Parasson's is our families Italian food go-to. If you love Italian food, this place is a must try. I grew up with a Parasson's location in Canton that I miss a lot. This location has picturesque decor throughout: from the entryway to the dining area. (Check out the pictures of the decor)! There is statue in full armor before entering the dining area... so cool! Make sure to check out the plastic table display holders for limited time only specials and new items. The menu features: salads (house and antipasto), subs: meatball, sausage, and Italian, pasta: lasagna, penne, and spaghetti, pizzas, and you can't forget their cannoli! During this visit, I tried the half & half combo which has a half order of Parassons special meatball and half order of their sausage patties topped with pasta sausage and cheeses! I also added a side salad (iceberg lettuce, tomato's, cucumbers, and cheese with buttermilk ranch dressing ) I had the red onions removed from the side salad. You won't go home hungry! An Akron staple, our group spent nearly every Friday after football back in the 90's here! We were happy to meet up again for lunch. Please to see a renovation to clean and modernize but not remove key features. Still Italian feel. SCAM.... Do not order on their website. They add a 20% service fee. We pick up our food at the restaurant not knowing we were SCAMED. They do not tell you on the website. It's a complete SCAM and Parasson's now's it... Only way to avoid 20% fee is to call them and order. It's disgusting Parasson's would do this. I had great memories of this restaurant. They need to go out of busines! I ordered a sub that turned out to be half a sandwich they charge full price for. $10+ for a sub that's 4-5 inches MAX. The menu is extremely limited compared to what it used to be. The portions are so small it should be illegal to sell at full prices. Just ordered three spaghetti with meatballs to go. When i got home whuch was 12 miles away. I found there were no meatballs. I decided to call them and they said i didn't pay for meatballs even if i ordered them. If they had told me meatballs were alacart, I would have added them. Instead they just told me i could order them and they would have them ready. It ran me $26 for three tiny spaghetti's with tomato sauce. I grew up going there for 45 years. I even used their takeout only for years when covid shut down the sit down part. This service was disappointing enough to make me take my future business elsewhere. Thank you parasons, it was good while it lasted. Since making this post, the owner reached out and appologized for the way it was handled and that in itself mean something. The best Lasagna in the greater Akron area! I travel to Akron about 6x a year. I have ate at quite a few Italian restaurants. But this one is the best Lasagna hands down! Visited last evening. There are several positives about Parassons. First is value. Pricing is very reasonable across the entire menu. Atmosphere: The place is clean and bright and well decorated. Service was quite good. Food-I had a chance to taste a slice of pizza and it was good--if you visit, I recommend the pizza. I ordered a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce and a side order of meatballs. Both entrees were swimming in sauce which tasted like it was commercial and way too sweet for my taste. We will return but next time I will order pizza. read more

My daughter and I recently stopped by Parasson's for lunch. She opted for the lasagna, while I chose the baked rigatoni. We also ordered two side salads and then two large pizzas to take home. The food was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was extremely polite and attentive, checking in on us several times. Everything is becoming so subpar anymore. These restaurants just throws something together, slaps a higher price on it and hands it to ya! I've been going to Parasson's for 40 plus yrs. Got the large antipasto salad recently. Use to have ham, used to have black olives. Either they don't anymore or my salad was thrown together without. Higher and higher prices. Parassons is back, when they first reopened it was hit or miss but today everything was back. Their sauce is fantastic and the bread is the old recipe. The service was fast and the food tasted homemade. I will be going back. read more

I've been coming here for over 30 years. Ever since 2020-2021 they have been going downhill fast. They discontinued the chicken Alfredo and lots of other dishes to the point they don't have very many options left to even choose from. The portions are much smaller and higher priced. it's been a while since I've been there, but when I used to go there garlic bread was probably the best you could find an Akron. I really enjoyed eating there. It was relatively inexpensive compared to a lot of the other restaurants and I know the kids like going there. the food was good. First time back since their re-opening. I was so happy to see the giant safe, the traffic light, and the suit of armor!!! They have updated but the same nostalgic feel is there! Everything was phenomenal!!! The garlic bread and Antipasto salad is the best in town! The chicken parmigiana is excellent!!! They are using fresh chicken and pounding it flat and hand breading it. Delicious!!! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and prices were reasonable. Our waitress was amazing! They were so attentive! We had our salad and garlic bread within 15 mins of sitting down!!! It seems that some of the most overlooked establishments are hidden in plain sight. On a Sunday with a lunch hour to spare, I had a craving for pasta. So, after a brief internet search I arrived at a critical juncture - and it was time to take the dive into the unknown. After calling in my order - penne with marinara sauce - I made the 10 minute drive. Looks can be utterly deceiving, so don't cast judgment on the exterior of the restaurant, because it hardly bears accurate resemblance to what lays within. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sweet young lady behind the counter who had my food waiting for me. Due to COVID-19 precautions, a debit/credit card terminal was on a table facing the counter, so I was able to remit payment ($8.00) seamlessly. The dish was excellent and the sauce was bursting with flavor, not disappointing and acidic like that of which is served in so many places. The portion size was ample and it came with a side salad and a garlic roll. Let's just say that I took a delightful trip to carb heaven and stayed there for 4-5 hours! A good old Italian restaurant that has been here for years. They offer exceptional service and food. They give you a lot too!! I have a thing for Italian food from Ohio, maybe I'm biased, but it's delicious. They get you seated quickly. The waitress was so nice and very helpful with the menu. My mom used to come here as a child. We visited from out of state so this was a must for us. Walking up you could smell delicious food and when you entered the restaurant it was themed well. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza and the meatballs. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Each table had a note from the owner going over their recent and upcoming renovations.
