Fresh Baked Bread of the day: Focaccia, MY ABSOLUTE FAV. Served w/ 2 sides: a pleasant rosa sauce, a butter so complex I couldn't crack the code. First thought, olives ? Then, hint of Lavender ? DEE-LISH is what it was! Swordfish soo good laid across a heap of Hoppin' John (for those who don't know) black-eyed peas & rice w/ the most chewy salty bits of pork. Lump crabmeat sprinkled overtop. I LOVED it! The bad news: Meatball starter should get 86'd. Dry, smallish, boring, didn't make sense. Was excited by description, but once arrived we had difficulty picking out the elements. Felt like 3 tiny meatballs in a pool of sauce w/ a piece of crispy "pepperoni". Husband enjoyed meatloaf; we appreciated its savory flavors. Felt similarly about creamy emulsion of leek soup finished w/ oil. Neither were raves, but still highly enjoyable. Sat in corner bar table. Atmosphere cozy. Service good. Prices high for hit or miss dishes, but the ones they got right, worth every penny! Wish I'd saved room for dessert. read more

Parc offers an intimate setting, warmed by a brick oven, with well crafted cocktails and a diverse offering of comfort dishes for any taste. My old fashioned was made with larceny bourbon and a perfect touch of Luxardo cherries. The halibut special was excellent and was accompanied by a delicious slaw, lightly charred broccolini and saffron rice. My mate offered me a few bites of the house burger he ordered which will be on my short list for next visit. Everything on the table was colorful and I was very impressed with the portions and how reasonable the prices of our dishes were. Our server, the bartender and staff could not have been more cordial. This is a wonderful spot for a casual afternoon meal and I hope I can return for dinner in the future. read more

Holy wow this place is so bad for how expensive it is. Our server, however, was excellent! Even made some accommodations for a senior palate. The parc onion soup was disappointing-only had good cheese on top not broth, bread, or onions. The BLT also left something to be desired with a wimpy amount of bacon. We have had both dinner and lunch at Parc Bistro, and neither meal disappointed. The food is nicely plated, and delicious, and uses inventive combinations while still being traditional. All the food we've had here has been excellent. The service is good, and the staff is attentive without being overbearing. If you come when the weather is nice I would recommend a table in their outdoor space. Inside, the restaurant is very cozy with lots of interesting nooks and spaces. Quaint and picturesque - a diminutive community faintly reminiscent of New Hope & Lambertville, PA, and Cape May, NJ - Skippack Village is home to a variety of intriguing shops and boutiques. The perfect spot to indulge in a bit of leisurely browsing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon... And, given the number of diverse dining domains scattered about town, you're not likely to go hungry either. Which brings me to Parc Bistro... Although I hadn't darkened the door in quite some time, I had reviewed this charmingly rustic refurbished 19th century roadside inn twice over the years; and I freely confess to some rather fond memories of the eclectic - "a little bit French, country, and Italian" - cuisine. I won't bore you with a glorified grocery list, but the special of Sautéed Tilefish on a sumptuous seabed of chickpea purée comes immediately to mind, as does an incomparably tender Boeuf Bourguignonne. Dessert-wise, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake - chocolate peanut butter mousse set atop a dark chocolate cake garnished with peanut brittle and Concord grape jellies - was as irresistible to the eye as it was to the palate. But that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... Or so it seemed to me when I stopped in for lunch recently. Oh, the ambiance, including the attractive bar area, was still quite cozy & comfortable; and the service was as personal and professional as I remembered it. The food, however, turned out to be another matter entirely. And the menu, a typical small plates/large plates configuration, contained a number of surprises - especially among the large plate selections. There, were, of course, what would be considered the usual suspects: Bistro Burger, Omelette du Jour, and Blackened Salmon BLT. On the other hand, unless you happen to possess the appetite - and peristaltic capacity - of a starving yak, and have nothing more exciting on your afternoon agenda than a long, leisurely nap, the Grilled Lamb Chops struck me as a bit heavy-going for a mid-day meal... Ditto Blackened Shrimp & Grits, Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna with Andouille sausage & bell pepper cream, and Crab Cakes with vegetable risotto and Maltaise (blood orange) hollandaise sauce. These items, or so it seemed to me, were definitely misplaced, and would have been infinitely more appropriate as permanent residents of the restaurant's dinner menu. So... since my dining partner and I were thinking in terms of a "lite" lunch, we decided to zero in on the small plate selections... Unfortunately, both of our choices turned out to be quite disappointing. Her Soup du Jour - Black Bean on this particular occasion - contained a good deal of spice but little in the way of flavor. She barely consumed a miniscule portion before surrendering to defeat. My Bistro Lyonnaise Salad certainly sounded good - frisée lettuce, roasted beets, crumbled goat cheese, lardons, poached egg, fried baguette, and Dijon vinaigrette - but also fell short of the mark. The ingredients were fresh enough, although the promised fried baguette had been replaced by a number of large, generic-looking croutons. This, however, was a relatively minor point. The major bone of contention was the Dijon vinaigrette; or, more specifically, lack thereof. I mean, the vinaigrette was present - well, sort of. Unfortunately, its presence was so infinitesimal as to be the nefarious nurse of nonexistence. As a result, the salad was inordinately dry... In other words, not particularly appetizing. Not anxious to press our luck, we skipped dessert. read more

We have not been back in over four months. Whenever I wanted to feel slightly pampered and have a meal that was unique, flavorful, fresh and delicious we headed to Parc Bistro. Especially for the Magnificent Lamb. It was somewhat of a hike for us...but so worth it. Now, I am sad and angry because Parc Bistro is just not the same. Food is not worth the trip. Service is mediocre. The welcoming warmth is gone. I genuinely hope they turn back the clock and return the to the Parc Bistro of yesteryear, or I am afraid we will not be returning! read more

The food is delicious! You really can't go wrong with anything here. The restaurant is very clean and very well set up. My only complaint would be that the service can be hit or miss. Not in the sense that the service is bad but there have been a few times where our server seemed to be miserable. Not even a smile, just very matter of fact. Of course, you don't know what they're going through. Maybe it was just one of those days but I don't hold it against the restaurant. You will have a great experience here and a great meal regardless. read more

2nd Review-- came back on 12/20/23. was nice to be recognized by the host and Greg, our first server. What a spectacular 2nd visit. Cold day, mid-week, came in for an early dinner (we call lunch-dinner- linner). The menu has since changed for winter and wow there are some winners! Again, which Skippack was closer to Yardley. Today Elizabeth took care of us, she was patient and friendly. We started with the French onion soup, which was just as good and memorable as the first trip. For our second course, we shared the Tuscan pizza-- wow, what a flavor profile with a kick. For our third course we had the pork belly tacos- order of 3 and this was the cherry on top of this meal... the sweet and spicy together. Parc Bistro really blew us away! My boyfriend and I recently got a chance to try multiple courses as part of a fixed dinner menu for a family member's wedding rehearsal dinner. The food, service, and interior were stellar! The soup of the day (tomato and pumpkin), caesar salad, and airplane chicken were all incredible. I normally would not have imagined pumpkin and tomato going together in a soup, but the concoction they created was perfectly creamy and delicious without being too rich. I'm assuming it was seasonal, but wow holy cow it was GOOD. Would highly recommend!! I also got a chance to snag some of their Caesar salad which was probably the fanciest and nicest Caesar salad I ever had (sadly, I did not remember to take a photo because I ate it too fast). The dressing was super yummy and not too salty, with the right amount of Parmesan cheese and croutons. It also had a very thin bread stick that plated made it look very aesthetic. It sounds crazy but you can taste how fancy the Caesar salad is!! The food was beautifully plated! Now the skin on the airplane chicken was also perfectly seasoned, along with the accompanying potato medallion and veggies. My boyfriend got the crab cakes which he really enjoyed as well. I am not a fan of creme brulee normally, but it came with the meal as part of the fixed dinner menu--the other guests enjoyed it greatly! There also was an apple ?pie or some other dessert which my boyfriend liked. The service here was also excellent. Went here with a friend who gave this place a high recommendation. We were seated right away upstairs. We started off with some appetizers, which included oysters and a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was a nice portion and tasty but the oysters were terrible. First off, they were sitting on top of a pile of salt so with every bite I ate salt and then they were super bland. Very disappointing. Main meals consisted of the fish special and soup. The fish tasted really strange and was not enjoyable. They claimed it was served over polenta, but it was the worst tasting polenta I've ever had. The food was so disappointing that we left without dessert. Was just passing through the town of Skippack and wanted a nice place for a late lunch (2 PM). We were not disappointed by Parc Bistro. Lovely building and grounds, and an interior to match. We were a party of three and we all loved our food. The omelette with bacon, cheese and asparagus was perfectly cooked. A burger with cheese and mushrooms was excellent, and same for a grilled shrimp special. As a starter we liked the corn soup with potato and sausage. We shared a dessert - a brownie with hot fudge and ice cream - and it was fresh and delicious. Great choices for wine and beer. Service was timely and attentive (thank you Christine and the gentleman who was always working that shift). So glad we stopped in! read more

Had lunch today with a friend. We both ordered Chipped beef which I havent had for at least 10 years. It was so salty I could not eat it. The waiter asked how is everything? Usually I would not complain but... I said to tell you the truth it so salty I can't t eat it. I declined when he offered something else. I asked when he picked up my plate later "Did you let the chef know"? He replied " we both tasted it and found nothing wrong with it". So I guess he was calling me a lier. A real gem in Skippack. Been here twice, once a small two person meal, the other 16 of us. Both times the service was impeccable. And the food really good. The best bet was the veal cutlet milanese, two slices with some ham and tasty pumpkin gnocchi. A bit salty but wonderful. read more

The greens were outstandingly fresh. The crust on the pizza was delicious and very light. The Cappuccino came with fresh baked sugar cookie and a stirrer with rock candy to sweeten the beverage. Read as 3.5 stars. We were a group of 6 who had dinner reservations at 8:30 on a Sat night. We were seated immediately despite the place being crowded. Ordered spinach and crab dip and devilled eggs for appetizers and the scallop entree for dinner. Food and drinks were good. Service was where things fell apart a bit. Kitchen closed at 8:45 and we felt rushed the entire time we were there. The Parc Bistro is in a large, beautiful historic farm house set in quaint Skippack. They have a liquor license and offer a decent variety of beer, drinks and wine. Our party of 5 had a total of two soups, two apps, two salads, three entrees, three glasses of wine and five deserts. Total tab with tip was about $360. Most of the food was average, although the French onion soup, rare ahi tuna and banana bread pudding were pretty good. The rest was rather underwhelming with a couple of real disappointments. One app, Seafood Beignets, promised "savory fried pastry, grilled Gulf shrimp, lobster, super lump crab, comeback sauce" according to the menu. Sounds delicious but they're really just small fried dough balls with what looked like a couple flakes of shredded crabmeat inside. Some had nothing inside at all. Charging $20 for this app is an insult to the customer. One entree was the grilled lamb loin chops. The cut used was more bone and gristle than edible meat. What lamb made it to the plate was rather flavorless. Skip this one. The service was attentive and accurate. Only complaint about our server was his recommendation of the lamb...which was probably based on it being the most expensive entree. Maybe other offerings are better. Based on what we had, quality of food does not justify the price. read more

Parc Bistro has been on my top 5 restaurant list for years now. If you eat upstairs it's a bit more formal, perfect for a date night (same menu though.) Downstairs the bar and pizza oven room are really cozy. When the weather is warm there is seating outside. The restaurant is in an old farmhouse and absolutely gorgeous. WOW! This was our first time at Parc Bistro and we were not disappointed! I have heard many great things about this restaurant and decided to have a surprise birthday dinner for my brother there. Jules the bartender was fabulous and helped me coordinate a surprise bottle of champagne for my brother at the table. Greg, our server was very attentive and did a great job taking care of our group of 6 even when the restaurant got slammed. Appetizers, dinner and the desserts were wonderful and tasty! Everyone at the table ordered a different plate and there was nothing left at the end which is a great sign. Parc Bistro has a great vibe and is very comfortable, not stuffy! The bar area is a great place just to have drinks and appetizers as well! The food is high quality and you get what you pay for. The table had a few alcoholic drinks and the average cost per individual which included appetizer, dinner and dessert was around $67.00. Obviously that did not include the bottle of Veuve Clicquot which was priced at $96.00. Overall experience was wonderful and Parc Bistro lived up to our expectations! This place has been solid for years and continues to be today. Food is always great, drinks are great and the staff is friendly. But please.....BRING BACK THE BRUSSELS SPROUT PIZZA! That was one of the best things on the menu, and BY FAR the most unique and delicious pizza item I've ever tasted....anywhere! Had a different pizza there last night, and although it was tasty, it didn't stack up to the Brussels sprout pizza. (Seems like all their flatbread have too much cheese these days!) Oh well, maybe they will bring it back in the spring. Also, seeing some of the 1 and 2 star reviews on here, and I can only imagine that some of those folks that wrote those were royal PIAs! Always enjoyed this establishment until recently. My wife and I were very disappointed. The flounder special was bland and worthless for a meal. The scallop dinner caused my wife to get sick later that evening. On top of the bad meals, the service left a lot a to be desired.
