I've been here a handful of times for SNS from a friend's recommendation prior to my last unfortunate visit. I went and got a pedicure and SNS for a wedding I was attending the next day. Not only did the price go up an extra $3 to $29, the service I received was below subpar. My pedicure was fine, no issues with that. The extra star was for the pedicure, wasn't the best I've had but nothing wrong. Someone else, who I believe is called "Shiela," took over to do the SNS. She was fast and had absolutely no attention to detail. My thumb nail was filed down crooked and when I brought it to her attention, she told me she'd fix it after putting on the powder. She didn't shape my nails before or after the whole process. She cut my nails, then filed them down where one was crooked and all were shaped different and then proceeded to put the SNS powder on and then the top coat. Still, no fix for that nail and no shape for the others. And another nail she filed too much and there's no solution for that except time Two nails weren't dry when she went to see if they were so she kept ruining the top coat and had to reapply at least three times. Now, you can see that my nail looks gritty underneath and I paid an extra $3 to receive crappy service. As soon as I got out of there, I took out the file and went to town to fix the crooked nail and attempt To shape the others. Due to COVID I had to get rid of my acrylics and when nails salons re-opened I decided I wanted to keep things simple. I wanted healthy nails . I wanted a natural length. Through a friendly recommendation I decided to stop in for the SNS dip powder. I was instructed to ONLY let Chrissy do my nails . She was so sweet , kind , gentle , patient and precise. This salon only does gel services. So when I asked for an acrylic toe they said they couldn't do it. I skipped the pedicure and I asked for gel manicure with a little razzle. I want a different shade of pink on each finger so it looks like ombré (fykyk). The lady doing my nails was not helpful at selecting colors and when she painted the nails I didn't like them. I could feel her frustration. So I said forget it let's just do a solid color and a glitter nail because you can't go wrong with a glitter nail. The glitter was way too dark for my hot pink. I told her politely I did not like how dark it was and her behavior was not acceptable. She started huffing and puffing and gave me a "are you kidding me" look. I don't think this is appropriate considering I'm paying for a service. I would not return here again and am not impressed as this was my first time here. Do not recommend. When I was paying my nails I handed her my card and she placed it on the counter instead of handing me my card. It was done spitefully. My nails never last from this place. It's not even like I'm doing anything strenuous! They just chip and break and it's not worth the money. The place is very clean and the wait isn't too long. They do a good job of cleaning up my nails. Sometimes they're a little rough. But in the end, the paint never lasts. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I WOULD.I had a 1:30 appointment (which didn't start until 1:50) for my service which was supposed to be a gel pedicure and gel X application. I was on a time crunch so I was willing to give up a my pedicure service to save time. Once I realized that I had to soak off my previous nails, I let her know that it would make the most sense to do my pedicure while my nails soaked. She denied my pedicure request and gave it to another person with NO APPOINTMENT. Although I gave up a service I still was not serviced for an HOUR AND A HALF from my initial appointment time. Once I finally got started, the man was rushing...and putting all of my nails on crooked. When I pointed out that he was putting the nails on crooked, he got aggravated and just gave up doing my service completely and told me to wait for the owner to do my nails who was already still servicing another person, mind you she was still servicing another person which means I had to wait even more. This was completely unacceptable, especially since she knew I had a time constraint. So it ended up being two hours since I've been in the salon WITH an appointment, WITH NO SERVICES rendered. I Had an appointment at 2 PM! 7:31/2022 I got my Manicure and pedicure done. Lady did my pedicure also did my manicure, she indicated she did not know how to do my French manicure, but she continue to File my nails and she was getting ready to dip my nails into the powder when I said I need tips, she then did my tips and she left to fingers with out the tips and I was like ahh I pointed out that she missed my 2 fingers it was very unprofessional. After 2 1/2 hour later, Someone had an appointment at 3 pm show up 15 minutes later had her Nails done way before mine how is that possible?. Here I am still waiting on a gentleman that just finished someone else's nail if I want to French I should be waiting on him then he came along and roughly finish up my nails. On table there say if your nails happened to be broken in 10 days they can fix it all you have to do is pay a tip why is that their?. I paid $ 88 + tips for both and Here I am August 5, They getting caught in my hair and they crack halfway every each finger. I went in before work and I told them one of the nail picked up at work if they could glue it she said she could fix it if I wait 1130 I start work at 11:30 I told her I'll stop by tomorrow at 11 and she could fix all my nails and she said okay! Next day I go in, she looks at my nails and she says this never happened before I can fix it but she is going to charge me half price $25 and she's not going to do a French asks me to pick a color! I was pissed I said I already paid you week ago want me to pay you again for you to fix my nails that wasn't done right it Is not acceptable I will never return here again and I just walked out! Their customer service is horrible!! This isn't the first time that I've gone there and their top coat turns my nails yellow. I didn't even have my manicure for 24 hours and my polish had already changed color. I went back and told them the problem and asked them to fix it and they charged me to change the color. Unfortunately there's only one person who knows how to do acrylic and she's lazy at that. She's nice up until you tell her to fix something & then catches an attitude or completely ignores you. This nail salon does not value customers. If they have clients and don't feel like doing your nails the manager will say in their way "sorry not today". They do not suggest scheduling an appointment nor a better time to come. They charge an additional fee for changing the shape of your acrylic because they do not know how. The new name of this nail salon says Paris 1 Nails on a big purple sign. I have been going here for over a year on the recommendation of a friend. They have pretty good prices although they recently bumped them up. A mani-pedi used to be around $15 Mon-Wed which was a great deal & now they bumped it up to $20. They do have some nice incentives though. After they changed the name & look, they gave out rewards cards to frequent guests to earn little gifts. Plus, they also mail out giftcards during your birthday month for like a free spa pedicure & what not. So the perks are nice. The workers are good, I like one girl. I don't know her name, but she is a young mother & very sweet. The other workers are okay. There is usually only 2 girls & 2 guys working whenever I go in. It is small yet charming. I will say that sometimes I get annoyed with the only other girl that's there & I usually get her. She talks so low you can never understand her & I'm just sometimes not satisfied with her work. I actually wish I could select negative stars for this review. We moved to the area last summer and have been coming here regularly for months now. Unfortunately the top coat that they use tends to turn your nails yellow. My daughter got her nails done on Friday, paid extra for French and by Saturday her nails were yellow. We went there today and asked them to change it/fix it and they charged us for it. For me it's the principle, you know that we are three women that come here regularly for fillings and spend about $100 each time. And you can't even change a nail polish color for free when it's your crappy product that you're using. They have lost my business. This place is going down hill fast. I have been going for a few years now and it was always my quick go to place always fit you in and decently priced. Well prices are going up, and last weekend i waited an hour to be acknowledged. Once i was told to sit in the pedicure chair i was given a new young girl which i was totally fine with until 2 woman sat after me and finished before me. Not only did my pedicure take 90 mins to complete, but she had to take off my toe polish 3 TIMES to fix it because she kept messing up. Then she said "ok pay?" i said no, Gel mani too and she rolled her eyes. Well if you would have welcomed me when i walked in, you would have known what i was getting in the first place! Now onto my gel mani. I sit down, i chose my color and again, she screwed up filing my nails some too short, and some misshaped to the point that the manager had to come over now and attempt to fix it. It is now 7:15pm when they close at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. She didn't cream my hands she forgot to do my cuticles, i had to remind her. First time trying today! I am very happy with my results. I went in for an acrylic fill in, and wanted gel color ontop, and a pedicure. I was greeted and taken to a seat right away. I was a little nervous at first because I quickly realized the girl doing my nails was the only one who did acrylic there! I had about 4 other nail techs watching her and learning (I think she was the owner). I guess this place is big on just mani pedi's. They do have a lot of gel colors to chose from, and the best part of it is that they color match a regular paint for your pedicure! I no longer have to try and search for a matching one like other nail places. The end result of my fill in and color came out really nice. Then I started the pedicure and she asked if I wanted just regular, I said yes and she wasn't pushy at all to try and sell a higher spa pedicure. I then asked if she could do in grown nails and she said yes! She did a beautiful job and relieved a lot of pressure on both my big toes. I know nowadays a lot of nail places will not do this. I think this will be my new go to nail place! 4 stars instead of 5 just because the appearance of it should be cleaned up and tables and chairs should be updated.
