Visited today, I do recommend an appointment on Saturday because they were busy. $41 for a color gel mani and regular pedi ($25 color gel & $16 pedi) and $25 for a regular mani and pedi ($9 mani and $16 pedi) Very reasonably priced and they do a good job. Be aware they do charge $2 extra for the OPI nail polish (which I thought was bogus), but the colors are nice. Wish the massage on my legs was longer, as it there was hardly any. read more

The customer service here is honestly great, staff was courteous and massages left & right are nice... but the actual ability to do nails and designs as requested (even with photo reference) not so much. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I decided to treat myself to themed nails. For the record it's $5 extra for a design and $1 per every nail designed after. My design was was so off originally and still not quite what I had hoped for in the end. The base coat was a little splotchy, given she used a light/opaque color, the edges weren't as the center and there was minor bubbling. Not to mention, my nail tech cut me twice during the process. I pray they at least last two weeks minimum before signs of chipping or breakage. I was so hopeful I could trust this place to give me this seemingly simple halloween nail design based on photos that were posted to yelp but I was sadly mistaken. Cost of UV Gel fill w/ gel pedicure was $107. I still tipped $5 for the effort and service but I will not be returning or suggesting this place to friends or family. Total cost w/ tip was $112, so heartbroken over these nails. read more

Its very hard to find a decent nail salon, I usually do my own nails but with two kids I do go every now and then. I had some me time & other appointments so I gave them a call and they were accommodating. Coco did my mani pedi. Im picky with the shape of my nails and I explained what I wanted and even shaped two of them myself but she was patient and personable! She made sure to check sides of nails and make sure they were fully covered and sealed the tips which recently places Ive been going have neglected. I am still on the hunt for a nail tech to stick with, it's been rough guys. I stopped by Pretty Nails because their location is convenient, their reviews weren't bad and they offered a nice selection of gel polishes. When I walked in, I was a little disappointed. The salon itself appears outdated and in need of improvement. The gel polish selection was also severely lacking in my opinion. Cindy was the tech who did my nails. I asked for a pretty simple design, but it came out terribly sloppy, and ultimately I decided to just go with one single color without the design. I let it go and still made a second appt. The second appointment I made was with Cindy again. This time I wanted a little cobweb design on one nail for Halloween. I asked Cindy if she could do it, if not, no worries...she said she could. The design was cute on my left hand, but very sloppy on the right. The same night 3 nails chipped. I returned and Cindy was very apologetic and accommodating, hence me giving 2 stars instead of 1. The same night my thumb nail was chipped. In less than one week almost every nail has chipped and all have lost their luster. Here's my take: This salon is definitely cutting corners. I cant say for certain, but I believe they are using poor quality gel polish. I am so disappointed and embarrassed with how my nails look... I having been going to this salon for my manicures the past 3 months. I am very proud of the work they do on my nails. I had one incident whereby my cuticles were knicked on the left ring finger. Hence 4 stars. However, I do disagree that the products are inferior. The salon is outdated and I do have to inform them to clean the work area occasionally. I used to come here a lot and then stopped, came to get my nails done for a wedding two days later my nails are peeling!!!!!! Also wasn't filled to the cuticle or polish! My nails look a week old. Honestly, nails could have been better. There are some imperfections regarding neatness of the nail design. My mom got her nails done, and rushed her. Her nails are uneven and did not even have the colors she wanted. I feel like they treat people of color different. They treated white people much better. I've been going to Pretty Nails for about 10 years (I think, or longer lol). The service is excellent and not much of hard selling. Lucy is my 'go to girl' but all the girls are very friendly, sweet and do a good job. Rachel is the owner, and her prices are VERY reasonable!! I get the SNS manicure every two weeks but I can easily go every 3 weeks. They have a great selection of polishes, in the latest trends of hues. I will continue to come back again and again . Honestly wasn't a big fan of this place, I decided to check them out because of all of the good reviews and I am new to Long Island. I got a pedicure and it was the fastest pedicure I've ever received, I felt very rushed and I get pedicures all the time so I know how a proper pedicure would look and this one definitely didn't look that way. The cleaning part took about 5 min, and they soaked my feet with only water and no soaking salt she also scrubbed and did my cuticles so quickly which didn't really remove much. The technician really took her time with the manicure (unlike the rushed work many other nail places do).
