Always done a great job with any of my alterations. Definitely not the cheapest, but since some of my clothing is rather expensive itself, I'd rather take it here and know they're doing good work while paying more than the opposite. I only came to this place bc of its location. It has been more and more disappointing each time! First time I went I had a wrap dress in which the owner lost the belt and did not take responsibility for it or apologize. She claimed she never got it. Second time I went to pick up a dress and shirts from her and she told me it would take a few minutes. She brought out the shirts fine but took awhile with the dress.. once I came home I saw that the bottom of the dress was still dirty which makes me question whether if she cleaned it or not. Vanna has been so kind, so artistic and so very professional with me. Even when I forgot to pick up my clothes (i was extremely busy!), she would kindly call to remind me. In the meantime,she was proactive in mending additional repairs without charge. Vanna also was very thorough and extremely detailed in helping me find the best solution in mending my clothes. To whom it may concern, it is always fair to give a person the benefit of the doubt for there are many sides to every story due to anyone out there who may be disgruntled with her. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at an establishment. I had a wool suit dry cleaned Saturday July 9th. I picked it up the following Tuesday to discover it had drastically been shrunk and the fabric had been visually and obviously distorted. Upon talking to the woman who works there and letting her know what had happened, she refused to take any responsibility for what had happened. She claimed that it was the company that makes the suit, Banana Republic, who was at fault (which makes no sense). Another excuse that was made was two months old. Why would that matter? It does not. Her solution was to contact the suits manufacture to have them refund me. I told her that would not be acceptable since it has nothing to do with them and to speak with the owner. I was told many times the owner "isn't around" and there was no way for me to contact him. I told her she had one weekend to have a solution for me, she agreed and said that she would call me on Monday July 18th. I never received a call. Upon returning today, I was told I would only be given 75% of the suits value (I bought it on sale, so that doesn't help me at all). Again, I asked if I could speak with the owner, and she refused. She consistently brought up Banana Republic and how "they shrunk it". I was able to get her to refund me the full amount I paid for the suit by showing her my receipt, however I'm still awaiting the money to actually appear in my account. The only reason you take a wool suit to a dry cleaner is to have it dry cleaned. If I could wash it at home, I would. If I wasn't as persistent as I was about getting refunded, I never would have had any resolution from this and they would have been completely content with me never making a fuss about it. I hate that I had to be rude and confrontational, but it is unacceptable to treat any customer with the lack of care "Paris" Tailors and cleaners did. Do yourself a favor and do NOT ever use them for any service. read more

I have been having cleaning and alterations done at Paris Cleaners for over 10 years. The prices and quality for the dry cleaning are excellent! The owner Vanna (and husband) are wonderful people! Vanna is an excellent seamstress! She is able to alter anything. I have brought her some very complicated and challenging alterations. She always comes up with a great solution! She is a perfectionist. If an alteration is not perfect, she will work to make it just right! I would highly recommend Paris Cleaners!! read more

This is the only dry cleaning and tailor services I go to in Belmont height. Vena is a great person to ask for help. She always helps me when I need things last minute. Even for my son's teddy bear (which weathered 4 years of toddler play.) their dry cleaning service is excellent as well. Fast, great job and good price! read more

i took two pairs of designer jeans to this dry cleaner and not only did they completely destroy them but they refused to give me the refund they promised me on the phone. i drove all the way from my new apartment in the la area to get it. when i asked for a reason why they were taking back their promise to give me a refund, they gave me no explanation, but just kept yelling "no!" at me. it was the worst i have ever been treated by any store. they took my $60, ruined $500 worth of jeans, and screamed me out of their store. seriously, DO NOT GO HERE. i've never written an online review before but i've also never experienced service like this before. save your money and your clothes. read more

I've lived in the SGV, OC, LA, and now Long Beach. Of all the places I've lived, I've never found a tailor as good or as consistent as Vanna. Over the couple of years since I found her, Vanna has tailored over 50 jeans and suit pants, and other assorted garments for me, and they were to my satisfaction every time. Her original hems are always spot on, and unlike many tailors in Long Beach, Vanna's method conceals the underside of the hem giving it a clean look and ability to be cuffed. As jeans/slacks never fit right on me off the rack, I always take them to Vanna to get tailored to fit (whether I was in my boot cut phase, or now in my slim cut phase), and they've always come out great! Having Vanna as a tailor has completely expanded my wardrobe as I now can buy anything with a fabric I like and get it tailored to my satisfaction. She is fast, consistent, talented and a pleasure to work with. Can't recommend her enough! read more

Understand that this alteration place is in a prime location in Long Beach (Belmont Shore) so the prices are going to be high. I took my bridesmaid dress and asked if they can do slip on the skirt and take the dress in. I was speaking to the seamstress' daughter and she was talking to her mother (the seamstress) on the phone. The daughter said that her mother can do it and gave me a price as well as a deadline. I came back to try on the dress and the in-seam on the skirt was not aligned and super tight. The seamstress said another day to fix it so I came back the next day when she told me to and it still needed some adjustments on the top part of the dress. After a couple hours later roaming 2nd street I came back and the dress was perfect. What wasn't great was the price, she did not honor the price she originally told me and she was blaming me that the alterations on the dress took too long. Why is it my fault that the seamstress did not line up the in-seam with the dress's seam-line and that she had to take longer than she anticipated because of her error? I left frustrated. I would love to go back however, if she cannot honor her prices she states who knows what else she is doing. Oh and her hemming for scrub pants are close to $10! For a straight line? I'm updating my review due to noticing this business owner makes an effort to respond to negative reviews. Only problem is this owner is confused about which customer I was, as I never went into her seamstress business requesting any patches of any kind to be put on any material for the cost of $3.00. I went in there requesting a simple one line stitch to be put on each side of a faulty piece of velcro that was on my kiteboarding strap. The job would have taken no more than 30 seconds per each 7 inch line of stitching with a generic sewing machine. I also brought in the replacement velcro to avoid any additional material expenses. The quote I received as previously stated was $15/line × 2 lines = $30 plus tax. Ended up going to another location that understood my simple request. I paid a total of $9.00 $4.50/line. Was literally in and out the door in 10 minutes. I'm sure this lady knows what she's doing when it comes to her line of work. My experience was a unique one in that I had a request outside her norm.. I admit I was a bit frustrated as there was difficulty communicating my sewing need. I cannot give her one star for not specializing in my random need to fix my binding straps. Kudos to her for making the effort to correct the miscommunication! read more

We read the reviews and were hopeful of the worked performed by Paris Tailors. My husband needed some dress shirt sleeves altered as well as some pants hemmed. He also needed to have the sleeves shortened on a cashmere jacket. We were very dissapointed with the work that was done. One of the dress shirts had the buttons sowed on incorrectly (the buttons were inverted). The first time we got the pants back they were too long. The second time we got the pants back, the cuffs on the pants were not done well; they were too heavy for the pants and they didnt sit well over the shoes. The jacket sleeves were just ok. The quality was just not there. She was incredibly nice and she did fix the mistakes, but even after everything, we ended up having to take it elsewhere. read more

I've had alterations, repairs, and some hems done here. They're very friendly. Work was done in a reasonable amount of time, but then again, I never have anything that needs to be rushed. Everything turned out great. I was afraid about altering a slightly complicated and expensive skirt, but I was really happy with the results. I took four pairs of expensive wool slacks to be hemmed. Pretty basic right? They hemmed them ALL to ankle length. How many times to get it right? THREE. This after I asked them to gem them long to begin with. The woman working there even tried to convince me they weren't too short based on her womens suit pants. Vanna is amazing and does an incredible job. I'm extremely picky with the fit of my button down shirts and my pants and she altered them over and over again until they were perfect! This is a long overdue review. I haven't been here for more than two year but I was a loyal customer for 6 years. I almost cried when I moved away from Long Beach and went to say bye to the owner who is a sweet heart. She tailored allllllll my clothes. She did at least 10-12 fancy gowns that I wore to weddings. She redesigned my clothes for me for making my backless dresses so I can wear a bra with, changing skirt patterns to make the dress look better, adding pockets to my white coats. She cleaned my purses and made them new. Hands down the best tailor shop in town. The owner and I became friends and I was able to meet her daughters husband and we would just chat about life and Vietnamese culture. She saw me when I first started medical school and till I graduated from Residency and she was happy and proud of me like she was my aunt. I sent so many of my Friends to this place and they were all pleased with their tailoring. read more
