The first time I came here I was so shocked at how amazing it was. I knew it would be great but it exceeded my expectations. I got the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich and a tiramisu latte with a cinnamon roll croissant. Everything was so freaking delicious and fresh and it was only around $20. I've been here many times now and I've never been disappointed. Parking can be a little tricky but I learned to not come at peak rush lunch hour. Service is great and so quick. I love the ambiance inside. Also the complimentary mint lemonade is soooooo good. I love that most of their stuff is clean minimal ingredients. Love this place!

This place is so chic! I came here to order a coffee and get one bakery item. They are known for their Nutella latte, but I wasn't feeling something chocolate coffee so I got their next favorite, which is the teddy graham latte. I love the generous sprinkle of cinnamon on top and it was overall a very balanced coffee. The chocolate chip banana bread was also one of their specialties, and it was so good (heavy on the chocolate chips which I love!) It barely lasted two days.

Been wanting to check this place out as I had heard good things about their iced lattes! I was lucky to snag a parking spot but the parking lot was still quite full late morning on a Friday. They sell a ton of prepared good looking food and pretty home goods but I did not get any of that today. I got the iced Nutella latte and it was very good- not too sweet but you got that hint of Nutella. I also got a carrot cake scone which was pretty good. The vibes inside are very quaint and cottage like. The serve was friendly, fast, and attentive but not overbearing.

Was recommended to come here by a friend for their coffee which did not disappoint. I have tried the hazelnut latte & their now signature latte- basically a dulce de leche latte. Both iced and I really liked both of them! They have a great selection of premade foods. Would love to come grab some of their premade meals at some point. I opted for their bacon and egg salad. Great flavor- and the roll it's served on is super yummy and just a little sweet to pair with the egg salad. I also tried the chicken salad- theirs is classic- has cranberry and walnut in it. The pesto pasta salad is flavorful but would do good with some lemon. It is definitely a popular place so expect to wait a little bit. The parking kind of sucks also. But it has a cute table space and counter top so you can sit and do work. You would have to get there early to get a seat most likely.

I had been dyingggg to try The Cottage Grocery and it did not disappoint. Such a cute little cafe with a market inside full of grab-and-go meals, boutique wines, and so many good things to look at while waiting for your order. We got a matcha, a cold brew, and two breakfast tacos and everything was really good. It's definitely a little pricey, but the quality and flavor made it worth it honestly. We sat outside after our workout and had the best slow breakfast morning. I already want to go back to try the baked goods and some of the premade meals because everything looked amazing!!!

This place is super cute! My friend recommended this place and I was excited to try it. There was so much to take in... specialty snacks, ready made meals (fresh and frozen), coffee shop, small charcuterie boards, baked goods!! I took home 2 ready made meals home and they were both good. I also bought an iced latte with coconut milk and it was pretty good. The only downside is the parking is very tight and limited and the ready made meals are a bit pricey but they are tasty and convenient. I will definitely be back to try the baked goods and more ready made meals!

Best pre packaged / ready to eat salads & iced lattes! Service is always fast, even when the place is packed at all hours of the day. Worth the drive & worth trying.

Beautiful location, parking was great, pastries and coffee were delicious. Everyone was really friendly and it was overall a very cozy and welcoming environment.

Perfect hidden gem. Tad confusing at first since there are multiple sections to adventure. The cashiers were friendly when I was able to stand in line to get through to understand. The parking lot was nonstop and a bit tight but not much they could do about that. There is a lovely little patio around the outside. I ordered a sandwich which came from them whereas my coworkers did the cooler case. I could have spend hours looking at all the entertaining possibilities. I likely would do that in the future The sweet treat sprinkle cookie at the end was delicious. It reminded me of homemade.

I feel like every time I go, I discover something new that I didn't even know existed. The selection is incredible, the store feels very upscale, and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. That said, Houston desperately needs another two or three Central Markets because this one is almost always a madhouse. The parking lot is crowded, the store is crowded, and the sandwich line at lunch can be ridiculous. The layout is also basically a maze designed to make you walk past every department before you find what you're looking for. Somehow, though, wandering through the maze is part of the fun. I do wish the Central Market app worked more like the regular H-E-B app. You can search for an item and see what section it's in, but it doesn't give you a useful store map showing where that section actually is. In a store this complicated, that would be incredibly helpful. It's definitely expensive, and if you fall in love with some small niche product, I wouldn't necessarily count on it being there forever. But overall, I really enjoy shopping here. Even when I only need a couple of things, I inevitably end up wandering around just to see what interesting new products I can find.

I can confidently say that I was disappointed. There was not one dish that stood out or that I would recommend or come back for. I especially was sad that the crying tiger flavors really missed the mark. The sticky rice that came with it felt like it was reheated and some parts were hard. It also tasted like some of the vegetables (green beans and carrots) that come with the entrees were frozen, not fresh. The jasmine green tea tastes like a powder mix. Some of the squid tasted freezer burned. The kua kling was the most interesting and unique of the dishes, but not one that I would go out of my way to eat again. The sticky rice with mango was as expected. The coconut ice cream is probably pre-portioned and frozen so was rock solid when it came out. I did not find most of the toppings particularly good. It was a busy Friday and I know service was busy. The food did not take long to come out, but we definitely had dishes from previous courses that stacked up, and we had to ask them to be taken away. They do have a high chair for toddlers and brought a plastic plate/utensils, but there was not a changing table in the bathroom we used. We have had such great experiences at other Thai restaurants in Houston that I would not come back.

Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
