We are not big on Asian pastries but would like to have a few pieces from time to time. We also do our best to support Asian businesses. Bought a few things today at Paris Baguette today and could not wait to leave. The store was as hot as outside. The AC vents were not blowing air and I was told that's how it is everyday. The heat was unpleasant and the employees seemed overheated. I can jump back into my car and cool off but the employees can't. I sincerely hope this is not a case of frugal owners going over board. Came here following my sweet tooth and wow! Delicious! I got a slice of the strawberry cream cake and a slice of the mocha cream cake, both were equally scrumptious. The strawberry cake was very light while the mocha was a bit more decadent. The food was great but the SERVICE WAS NECT LEVEL AWESOME. Even though they're new, they already have long line... because they're fantastic! The lines move quickly, so don't be discouraged. One of my favorite places to get a pastry or delicious dessert. Their customer service is pretty good but today their service was really good! I went today to get a cake and a few donuts for a birthday but I had my hands full with my toddler. One of the workers helped me with the boxes to my car even though I parked pretty far. I absolutely love this location! It's so much better than the one in Glenview, IL. I'm obsessed with their pastries - the Boston cream croissant, original croissant, coffee croissant, matcha croissant, ube croissant, and tiramisu dome are all amazing. I visited twice in a row I enjoyed the staff so much. The only downside is that the app isn't very user-friendly. I tried their hot teas twice, but both leaked out of the cupholders. A little disappointing compared to the Korean stores and even the ones in California. We came in two separate occasions and ordered Strawberry cream cake, egg tart, and the cream puffs from the refrigerated section. I was a little surprised at the size of the store, it's more of a place to get pastries and desserts togo when a craving kicks in rather than a place to meetup. The cake was good although a bit on the sweeter side, the egg tart wasn't great - it felt more like a shell with custard in it than the egg tarts you might find at other asian bakeries like 85C. The cream puffs were also just okay, the ones in California and Korea are definitely better, I had trouble finishing the ones here but I can't quite point my finger as to what I don't like about it. The bakery is very much a welcome addition to Katy and I'm glad we have more options to choose from in terms of Asian bakeries. Although to be honest I will probably keep going to Tous Les Jours next door and try Paris Baguette here later once they're more settled in after the opening. Service was okay as well, staff is getting used to their jobs and learning about the store and its products. Although it's always funny when you know more about the products a store sells than the people who work there. Overall, a decent place to try if you've never had it before. Will come back some time later to see how they are doing. read more

Super excited to finally have a Paris Baguette in Houston! Since it is still in their opening phases, the line for PB at the moment can be fairly long and absolutely nonstop no matter what time of day it is. But the wait isn't usually too long and is well worth it. They have a lot of the classic baked good and a lot of twists on the classics. Compared to 85C or other Chinese bakeries, PB is definitely more elaborate/luxurious in their baked goods kind of like a French-Asian fusion. For example, they have a tiramisu egg tart that's super tasty, and a red bean bun with cream that is to die for. I also loved their castellan cakes -- super fluffy, soft and light in flavor and an absolute delight. You really can't go wrong with any of the pastries here. I've now been a few times, and end up having to stop myself from buying everything in sight. Definitely worth a stop by if you're in the area. read more

Tried this because it was recommended but only got a few items and it was almost 30 bucks. The king cream donut was dry and barely any cream on the inside. The fried dough balls (can't recall name) with red bean paste on the inside tasted burnt. The honey castella cake had an odd after taste and reminded me of just a sponge cake. Let me start by saying that the pastries and cake was good. I had some croissants and hot dog buns and really liked that the hot dog was good quality and not those cheap kinds. Their croissant was also flaky. The service was good and the owner (or so I think it was) was a nice guy. I've came on two occasions at 6pm because that's when I get off work and the store was 90% empty. My only issue that if you're going to open until 9pm then at least make more baked goods or have more variety out for others. I drove 30min both times only to find little to nothing. My daughter lives in Paris and is married to a Frenchman so for Christmas dinner I bought 3 baguettes and as a breakfast treat, 4 croissants. the croissants were tasty but much more like the Italian version the cornetto (little horn). Basically too much sugar in the dough and sugar sprinkled on the buttered tops. The French version also are much more buttery. The baguettes were tasty and held up for a few days. The croissants were $3 each and baguettes $4 each. The process is confusing with trays somewhat hidden from view. You take a tray and thongs, then open the cases yourself to grab you pastry. Frankly in todays Covid world, I would prefer the staff, wearing a masking and gloves handling the cases/food not the customers. The price feels a bit high given the quality, hence I deducted 1 star. read more

Overpriced and not even good at all. Paid $14 for 4 breads when I can go to 85 degrees for better quality bread and get my moneys worth. Bought 2 different croissants and they were so hard that it my gums were hurting when I bit into. Do NOT get any of the cakes in the prepackaged plastic unless you want to get sick. The honey castella cake tasted horrible that you can taste the plastic. Hmart sells better cake rolls and castella cake than them. There were a lot of people buying it because of the brand but Paris baguette does not even have a good reputation considering what happened last fall in South Korea.
