I think they need some time to expand their current selection. I'm a huge fan of Paris Baguette and honestly prefer them over 85 Degrees C (W and E Coast) and Six Ping (Houston, TX). Right now they have a little bit of everything but everything is missing something. Their cake case does not have the same variety as other Paris Baguettes and their bun selection is okay. My all time favorite cake is the blueberry chiffon, so if you see a slice of this, definitely recommend if you like lighter desserts. The sweet potato bun, which I tried today, had a delicious filling. It was plentiful too and would choose their buns over AA Oozy's. Hopefully as time passes theh will get the hang of things and expand their selection and find a better way to manage the weekend lines. read more

Yuuuuummmm. I've never had anything that I was actually "disappointed" with here. They have so many different options. I always get the mini cheesecake. So fluffy but not too airy, it has a good balance and not overly sweet. It's not too big and not too small. It's the "baby bear" of cheesecakes to the world's Goldilocks. They have buns with curry in them, but I won't try those just bc I'm not a fan of curry in general (of any variation I've tried). I'm not going to buy something just to hate on it. So maybe it's good and I'm missing out? They have buns with sausage in them. So delicious. I get them every time. There's something to a soft fresh bun with meat in it that is just perfect. The "tiramisu" bun is a subtlety sweet bun with a mild coffee flavor. It's perfect if you don't want an aggressively sweet pastry in the morning. The crab bun was not bad. It wasn't my favorite but it had a soft bun with a type of imitation crab salad on the inside. Definitely unique with flavors and textures. Chocolate croissants there are always good, nice lamination with the dough. The chocolate cream buns were pretty good. The mini loved it. She ate it and was like, "omg this is so good!!!" We still have to try some of the pastries we bought. We bought too much to eat in one day. Overall, this is one of my fave bakeries. This place is located inside of an H Mart. By the way, they have a few different places to try out but we came here for a dessert and came back for the curry buns and plenty more sweets. The girls behind the counter have a great customer service skills and know how to assist you if you have any questions. And the ambience is very go-go. Go since it's a little market and there's more places inside you just kind of come in and out and go onto your next finding. But we got the tiramisu cake for a graduation, and we were so happy with the creaminess of the cake and the moist texture of the cake. I got the berry cake on the fly here when I found out my roommate had a birthday today. Fresh and ready to pickup on the spot. That's a plus. What's more than that, the cake was EXTREMELY good. The buttercream was velvety smooth, without an abundant taste of sugar or other sweeteners. Even the tartness from the berries on top never clashed with any flavor profile but rather added to the taste. Chain grocery store cake has turned be into a pie guy. They are always overly sweet with the frosting paste-like and hardens in the fridge. Paris' cake sat in my fridge for four hours before presentation, and it was perfect. Well done! Today is Father's Day! Imagine being a father with a uge sweet tooth that thought he did a brilliant job in life but suddenly is presented with a tiny little cake on this faithful day.... Yeah total disappointment. We were so disowned by our father today for such a display. The cake we got was Paris Baguette's 'Cheers to Dad Cake', a cake shaped like a mug. My sister ordered it over the phone after seeing it on main website and on the Instagram. Advertised as 4 layers of vanilla cake, with 3 layer of their excellent soft vanilla cream!! This massive cake has 8 servings!! For $34.99 USD it was a little high but we were still excited. This also meant some of us can have two pieces! Ohhhh but when we went to pick up the cake this was not the case. The actual cake was tiny. My sister tiny hand was bigger than the cake. There is no way in the world this cake can serve 8 people, not even 8 kiddos. It also wasn't 4 layers of Vanilla Cake! It was 3 skinny layers of Chocolate Cake, and 2 layers of their magical soft vanilla cream!!! My coworker's cupcakes were bigger than this cake. $34.99 USD, for a cupcake? And at the absolute very best it would only serve 4 people......realistically 2. I know cakes are just desserts and not the main courses, however this is a special family day so it must be of decent size. This tiny cake does not justify $34.99 USD. The cake looked a lot bigger on the pictures. We been deceived!!! Lol I suppose we had our hopes way too high when we ordered this Cheers to Dad Cup Cake because we ordered from them before; a year ago we ordered their 'Green Tea Chiffon Cake'. It was about the SAME price but much larger in size! It was uge! It was big, but super dry. Dry like it's been in the fridge for a 3 days and 21 hours. It also didn't taste like green tea at all. No green tea flavouring. It felt like prior to sitting in the fridge for a few days, it was sitting in the freezer and lost all the flavour. So very sad! But what I liked about this cake was the cream. Very light, very soft, quite well whipped and not too sweet. Very excellent cream. Too bad the cream wasn't able to save the cake. Anyways back to the Cheers to Dad Cup Cake.... In the end we just gave the whole cake to the Dad. He was so disappointed he didn't eat it right away, and took a nap. Overall disappointing experience to this 'Cheers to Dad Cake'. So disappointed I went straight to my very own loo and did a sad two. Sorry everyone for the sad experience, since I usually only write good ones. I'm the kind of person that would give Micky Dees 4 stars. 3.5 stars for now. 6/16/20, 8 pm: First visit to an H Mart and headed straight into Paris Baguette. Asked how long till closing and was told 8:30 pm. Understandably, most shelves were empty, but found Whole red mung bean, Sweet potato, and Peanut buns and sliced milk bread in the center display, and Honey Castella and more red mung bean buns on side wall shelves, plus many flavored "ice candies" and whole cakes in the fridges. Decided to buy one red mung bean bun and asked if I could purchase cake slices during the daytime and was told yes. Was very hungry and took a bite of the bun. Decided I'd get another bun for breakfast the next day as we rushed out, but found on the drive home that I didn't really like the combination of the filling and the bun bread, as I found the mung bean filling made the bread taste a little sour and bitter at the same time. 6/17/20: Decided we'd check out a bit more of the grocery, as well as check out those cake slices, but I didn't see any cakes sliced. Perhaps I have to place an order? I did see more bun and pastry selections, such as chocolate cream buns, plain, chocolate, and almond croissants, pain au raisin, donut twists, raspberry and cream pastries, and chocolate tiramisu tarts! I decided to get a couple of the pain au raisin (as it is a fave French pastry of mine; will try for breakfast tomorrow), a sweet potato bun (so good and fun to eat--tastes just like eating a baked sweet potato, but nestled inside something skin to Hawaiian bread!), a chocolate twist (better after a minute of toasting in the toaster oven), and a chocolate tiramisu tart (will try for breakfast). I also ordered a small cappuccino. I scored a free iced peach tea for Mom after installing the Paris Baguette app and signing up, but Mom found it a bit too sweet. I was able to sample the tea only after we'd arrived home and all of the ice had already melted, and it was on the sweeter side, so I can imagine how sweet it must've been when freshly - poured. Still liked it, and I'd probably order it again in the future if I didn't feel like having coffee, but wanted a cold and refreshing noon - water beverage while in the area. Maybe I could ask for less sweetness? The half star deduction was because I felt rushed while signing up for the app as i gathered my credit card to pay. The cashier could've chatted the next person and volunteered to answer a question or two to fill the thirty seconds I needed... But I understood; She was being watched by the owner. Surprisingly, the app must've recognized the transaction by the name on my credit card, because it confirmed a pending a 17-point transaction a few seconds later, when I hadn't even entered my credit card info! How could I when I was rushed to move out of the line while paying for my pastries and coffee? I had to get back in line to retrieve my free peach iced tea after finishing the sign up process... If only the food court area was designed to be a little more spacious so that the coffee and bakeshop area could feel a little less bottle-necked! Perhaps I'll wait a few weeks before returning, and maybe the hype over the opening will die down and things won't feel so hectic here! read more

Paris Baguette is the best chain of bakeries. And even in New York, I thought that they were the best bakeries, period. A place where competition is of course fierce. But the Tempe location is a misfire. I think because they are unusually small here, they just can't offer the variety that their outlets normally have. This is the only Paris Baguette outlet that I have ever visited that I was disappointed in and did not buy anything. Go to the new one in North Scottsdale. That one is 5-star, with no quibbles. read more

Not impressed! Was excited about a new bakery so of course I had to try because of the hype. Been here a few times and I'm quite disappointed. Most items are always out of stock and from what I could try, it's OK. A little too sweet for my taste. Also pretty pricey! Customer service is disorganized and sometimes rude. One person will say one thing and another something else. I understand that they're new and may need more training. I don't go out of my way to come here but it is conveniently located inside Hmart.
