This bakery has great coffee and some delicious Danish pastries and bread. My favorite is the cream puff. However, I've visited this place at least 20 times, and I've only been able to get one about 2-3 times. Either it's so popular that people buy them right away as soon as they're put on the shelf, or they simply don't make enough. As everyone knows, their products are a little pricey, which means you can only grab a small selection, about 2-3 pieces with a coffee, and it's already $20-$30. So they're definitely on the expensive side for a bakery. The cake was great, but I wish the price range were around $30-$40 (it's currently about $55-$60+). The staff are welcoming and attentive. However, there can be a long wait, even when there are only 3-4 customers checking out. Overall, great bakery and more cream puff please! read more

The service was great, the place was super clean, and the pastry display was well stocked, even after 1 pm. I tried the blueberry matcha and it was delicious. Oh my goodness, what a treat! My husband and I signed up for the app which basically gave us each a bogo. I got the iced latte with Nutella and strawberry croissant. He got the croissant donut and the chocolate supreme croissant. All were excellent but the star was the croissant donut. It's filled with a gentle cream. This place has issues. Let's start with the customer service. Zilch. Myself and another lady stood at the counter for 4-5 minutes with our food while the staff pretended we weren't there. Two more customers joined us. When staff did get to us, she was short with us. Was she swamped? Yes. I'd be annoyed too. Management needs to step up and handle this. The tables and chairs were filthy. There wasn't one clean table available. I ordered the chicken Caesar baguette sandwich. I asked for it heated. Staff left it in too long and I got a very dried out and burnt $12 sandwich. read more

This was my first visit to this place and there is a lot going on, I first walked up to the front counter like one does. There was no one at the counter so after standing there for a minute or so I followed the lead of another customer that had come in. Apparently you are supposed to go to the different cabinets and use the tongs by the front door to grab what you want. I was excited to see a location of this out here in Overland Park. The pastries, while good, are quite pricey for the size. I saw some pastries top $7. Some of the slices of cakes/tarts in the front display case were almost $9. There's a good variety of pastry as well as drinks. I liked the curry croquette ($4.50). There is plenty of seating which makes this a nice place for a date or catch-up. Just comparing prices for some of the pastries, Paris Baguette seemed cheaper in California and New York, which is surprising. I think I'd come back if someone wanted to, but this wouldn't be as much of my go-to as 85 Degrees or Hamu Bakery due to the value. read more

I liked the extensive menu, the delicious pastry and the friendly, efficient service at this new bakery/cafe during my opening day takeout visit. My fruit pastry ($5.05) was nicely sized, flaky, creamy and delicious, but not an especially good value. The interior was clean and new with a nice dining area. I also noticed a small patio outside, which was being used as an employee break area. The menu included cakes, cake slices, pastries, mochi donuts, donuts, savory pastries, roll cakes, breads, breakfast sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, wraps, hot beverages, iced beverages and grab & go items. I have eaten here in NYC so was excited to see them opening store fronts in KC area. Great for a coffee and sweet treat. They offer some lunch items, mostly sandwiches. Finally checked out Paris Baguette, by the Oak Park Mall. It's attached to the same building as the IHOP. It is a similar concept to 85 C Bakery. You walk in and pick up a tray and tongs to pick out your goodies both savory and sweet. They all looked so good. I picked a pepperoni pizza type pastry and 2 filled pastries with fruit on top. The pizza and cheese pastry was okay. Nothing special. The sweeter choices were delicious. I also ordered a latte and it was okay. I would go back to try other pastry options, and like the concept. Sorry, I wasn't impressed the dinning room is small about 12 tables. You grab a tongs and small cookie sheet and walk around about 20 items to choose from cases. I got what i thought was a sweet item and sandwich. My husband got the hotdog like sandwich. Then you go the counter where they have more sweet items, pies and cookies. We asked to have 2 items warmed up. There is no spot that you wait for drinks they are placed on top of case a couple behind people you. Surprisedly the warmed items take awhile and then they aren't really warm on the inside of my husband hotdog was cold and mine too. Plus, it was pricey. I know took pictures just can't find them. We stopped by Paris Baguette and overall had a great experience! The food was really good -- my kids absolutely loved everything, especially the mochi donuts. Some of the pastries were a little on the sweet side for me, but everything looked beautiful and tasted fresh. The croissants were delicious, though I have to say -- if they ever offer a pistachio-stuffed croissant, I'd be here every day. The savory items were tasty too, but I think they'd be even better if we could have them warmed or toasted. Service was just okay. No one offered to help us choose, and while checking out, the cashiers were teasing and joking with each other. I'm sure it was playful, but it came off a little unprofessional and awkward. I was so excited to see this little bakery open up in Overland Park! The location is clean and bright, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. There is plenty of seating which makes it a great place to stop and work or catch up with someone. I liked the selection of pastries, including the seasonal halloween and fall items. It is a little pricey, as others have mentioned, however, I do think it's in the same price range of similar bakeries in the area. Such a fun place! Was happy to see they had some slightly healthier options too, like sandwiches (the tuna salad sandwich was wonderful- low on mayo which I appreciated,) & salads, and not just cakes & pastries. Everything was absolutely delicious. We went at about 3:00 in the afternoon & the pastry cases were still pretty full and they were restocking more as we walked around and chose our items. The way the line for checking out is and where you pick up your drinks intersects so I feel they should've planned that out better. They do have seating options inside and outside but if it's busy, don't count on seats being open. This bakery shop just open up a few weeks ago. I had to go in to check it out. The have a cute little sitting area in the front to sit and enjoy with a few friends. Inside it was nice and bright. Not too big of a sitting area. I walked around the bakery cases. Prices seem a little high like $4-$5 for a small piece. My small size coffee and a pastry was about $10. They also have other items already packaged for purchase and sandwiches to go. At the front counter, you can order drinks. The cakes look fabulous but not sure how much they are. Stopped by during a super busy rush, but the line moved faster than expected and the staff was on it--restocking pastries quickly as they were flying off the trays. Came here at 7:25 and the cases were empty. We loved Paris baguette when we lived in SoCal and we were looking forward to the deliciousness unfortunately we found none. I mean the only thing left was a couple of raisin scone things. We're definitely your target market but it is what it is. One of the employees did tell us that they had a few cake slices left. The inside is beautiful. Google said the location is open until 10pm but I'm not sure what they will be selling at that point. Wanted to stretch this to a fourth star as I am so desperately wanting to have a touch of pastry like that I enjoy all over France. I know it's not a fair comparison for a variety of reasons, but I just found that too many of the 8 different breads, cakes and pastries were just too dry or very "corporate" versions of the real stuff. Don't get me wrong, I probably prefer the pastries themselves over most of the baked treats sold elsewhere in the area. We stopped by today to get a coffee and my husband chose two pastries. It was relatively busy but the line went pretty quickly. If you're interested in their baked goods, you grab a tray and a liner for the tray and tongs to get your own selections unless you want the refrigerated bakery items. Everything looked fresh and tasty. I only saw one packaged loaf of a flavored bread that was gluten-free unfortunately. They may have other items, but it didn't appear that way and it was too busy to really get a good look at the small descriptions in the refrigerated case. My husband got a fruit and cheese danish which he did not care for even though he said it was fresh. He just said he particularly did not care for that one pastry. He also got another pastry that looked like a long apple fritter that he said was good. He got a white mocha and I got the pumpkin spice latte. Both lattes were good. It had a pretty good amount of seating and we were able to easily find a place to sit, a lot of people were getting their items to go. They also have some outdoor seating.
