I ordered a cake for my sister's birthday using the app. It was pretty easy to use. Everyone liked the cake I picked out (chocolate mousse cake with salted caramel) and it was delicious. I ordered it Wednesday night and we picked it up Thursday afternoon. The service was good. In the instructions of the order, I specified that they should write happy birthday and my sister's name. I guess it didn't fit on the cake because they included a square dish and white the message on that. I didn't know until we picked up the cake. First day I went I should have gotten a $2.00 item instead of $8.99, that went completely ignored. I signed up for their App and should have gotten a free pastry, well even though on the App it showed a coupon available and a code. Cashier tells me my App says I have no points, how do you have points when the code is for your first purchase??? Spoke to the manager and she was not nice and she tells me that it's a holiday and that you can't use it on a holiday even though the coupon had a code and said "Available". Personally I think she is full of crap. No where on the receipt or the sign by the door regarding signing up for the app and getting a free pastry says that you can't use it on a holiday.I got scammed twice. After church we wanted some fall treats and we were so happy at Paris Baguette. I went with the vanilla sweet cream cold brew, hubby got a traditional hot lavazza coffee and my daughter loved the iced cookie butter macchiato. Hubby got an egg salad sandwich which has sliced cucumbers and yummy white bread. Then he picked up a pumpkin scone (so good!) My daughter and I split a pastry frank, sweet rice donut and dirt and worm king cream donut (chocolate cream!) All fresh and delicious and the service was terrific. My daughter noticed there are outlets at some of the seats, so she will probably stop in and work on homework while grabbing some treats. read more

When it's fresh, it's good, and the food tends to be fresher when it's busier. They've got free WiFi available, and seats to maybe work or study for a bit, but it can get noisy. We ventured out for a coffee run today since the heatwave seems to have subsided. @ParisBaguette_USA was on @GoodMorningAmerica this morning and their pastries looked amazing so that became our destination. Again we got the same drink (mocha latte) hers was hot and mine was iced . We also got a crookie and an apple pie. The pastries and coffees were great. It's a little strange. You peruse the goods, grab your own personal tongs and retrieve your own pastry. When you order your drinks and pay, you turn in your tongs.It definitely has the franchise feel like no matter which #ParisBaguette you go to, it will be just as good. read more

First and formost they desperately need to improve their customer service. Paris Baguette sells all freshly pre-made goods which is nicely displayed. All items are show cased for your pleasure. Large selection from desserts, sandwiches and salads. I choose the Quiche Lorraine and was disappointed as it contained spicy brown mustard which took away from the quiche but I'm not a spicy brown mustard chick. The food was fresh but nothing special the service was subpar and there was no ambiance. Music playing in the background but no one greets you, even when you check out it's heads down, no thank you or have a nice day, nothing! Tried it, won't be back!!! Very disappointed! The food items here are amazing but the service is poor. Every time I go the wait time is very long regardless of having a short line or a long line of people or even if I order on the app. They seem understaffed to manage the counter for people. As drinks are made to order and they box items up for customers as well this is left to one poor soul working the counter. There are lots of bakers and pastry chefs behind the huge glass window looking away because they can't help you and know you really want them to. As I wrote this review there are four people in line just waiting as the one worker makes a coffee with his back turned to the customers. He is not happy to be here and rightfully so. He isn't supported. The model to support customers in a timely manner just is t right. Now the tables and seating area is nice but I also always seem to sit at a table that hasn't been wiped down and has crumbs left on it. It makes sense as there are not enough people to clean the dining area. This place could be so much better. I have been here 8-10 times since it's opened. Service hasn't changed. I hope this review encourages the owners to re-examine their process so it improves. read more

If you would like courteous and efficient service, Do Not come to Rockaway Paris Baguette. Unfortunately they have lost my business on the 1st visit. The young man at checkout was busy talking and laughing with one another young man that was draped over and blocking the display case. In the meantime, another older employee (maybe a manager), continued to count the tip jars at the other open registers, and ignore customers. I patiently waited as the couple in front of me stepped away from the checkout (why would the business not help the next customer while people are still deciding on items is beyond me), and came back to slowly checkout because the young men and a young woman behind the counter continued to talk around the customers. As the couple moved aside, the young man who was blocking the display case now moves over to have a conversation with the young man still at checkout. I then asked if there was only one checkout and the man counting the tip jars nudged him to move it along. As the display blocker starts to step aside, a woman barrels thru and starts to ask the young man at checkout a question, I then interjected stating I've been waiting and simply want to check out (I shouldn't have to beg to pay, seriously!). Checkout was now answering a question for the young lady behind the counter, who also looked very lost. Checkout then turned around and started to help the rude woman who cut in front of me! Now I considered that this job could be their very first job and or maybe they just opened their doors today, but I gave them plenty of my time and patience without receiving simple acknowledgment or respect for their customer. I am always the devils advocate but this was ridiculous! I had to put down the box of pastries I collected, and the tongs I used and walk out of the store. Sad for them because I spend a lot of money on pastries and they could have had a returning customer. I will continue to get my pastry fix at a place that greets their customers, doesn't have private conversations & giggling while actively serving customers, and respects their customers time. I'm not one to give 1 star reviews but, I had a very disappointing experience at this Rockaway location yesterday and I cannot recommend it. I love Paris Baguette and was happy to hear they opened one in my area. After going to multiple locations in the past, especially the one in Ridgewood, which was a wonderful experience, this location made me feel like I had completely wasted my time and money. When we first walked in, there are display cases on the left and in the front by the cashier. It's a small Paris Baguette so it doesn't offer as many pastries as the other locations in NJ. However, some of the pastries did not look fresh. The berries on the top of some of the pastries especially looked like they've been sitting out for a while so the options were limited but we picked 2 croissants, a box of the cream cheese almond small croissant bites, a big pink frosted pastry, a small one with 3 raspberries on top, a Palmier, an apple turnover, a mochi donut and a twisted donut which added up to a little under $50. I expected the pastries to be super fresh and packaged correctly for $50. When we got to the checkout line, no one greeted us. The man who looked like he could've been a manager began ringing things up and then started shoving the pastries into small bags with them layered on top of the other. When he got to the big pink one with frosting I said, a box would be better. He said "oh you think a box is better?" I nodded and he took out a small rectangle shaped box, put in the frosted pastry on its side, then put the palmier on top of it and the small one with the raspberries on the side. I was baffled. I've never seen someone layer pastries on top of each other in a box. He handed me a box that was almost not able to close. We left the store and when I opened the box in the car, the sticky Palmier was crushed from the top of the box and sticking to the large frosted pastry underneath. After tasting them we realized some of them had to at least been a day or so old. Definitely not the standard Paris Baguette experience. Also the floor was soooo incredibly sticky, by the time I left I felt like I was peeling off my flip flops. Won't be returning to this location again. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever received. My roommate ordered her drink ahead of time. Over 25 minutes later, and it still wasn't even started. Waited more than 10 minutes longer. Then went in on a Sunday at 7:30 and the cases were empty. No food. Why be open till 9 if nothing is available. 3 times I've been here since it's opened and it's been a disaster each time. Went from a 2-star to a 1-star review. I came by on a Sunday evening about an hour and 15 minutes before closing because I was interested in trying some of the new seasonal pastries. They had hardly anything in the cases. This would be understandable if it was close to closing time, but I had maybe five options for pastries, none of which I wanted. Went there on Sunday with my mom for Mother's Day. They opened at 6 and we arrived around 7. lights were off 1 customer was sitting in the dark drinking is coffee while 15 employees were working in back & they had nothing ready. If you open at 6 am you should have all your baked goods out! We ended up ordering a hot coffee and a cold brew coffee and almond croissant. ( $14 bucks wasted, coffee was disgusting) we step aside thinking the employee who rung us up was gunna make our coffees but instead help the person behind us who was only picking up an order, instead of grabbing our coffees, she disappeared for 5 mins looking for the order (which was not ready). While we were still waiting for our coffees we were told an employee who wasn't working but picking up an order that the owner or manager hadn't even shown up yet. oh and the person who was picking up that order got the cake before we got to he two coffees. Will never be returning here. The owner should reevaluate how they run their business and train employees I think Walmart operates better than this place. read more

Love this place pastries and sandwiches are delicious. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Just ordered a birthday cake for the first time! Coffee is wonderful 12 oz small cappuccino only $4!
