First time here and this is a very good traditional place, that is clean and delicious. The presentation of the food and serving are excellent. I had my traditional Bun Bo Rieu (crab noodle soup) not many places offer this noodle. It's delicious and the crab meat ball is fresh crab (you can smell the freshness as you're chewing like you're crackling a crab). The spring rolls are crispy, both hot and did not disappoint. Vietnamese coffee is just right, refreshing and strongly caffeinated. Also, this place offers the traditional Vietnamese dessert called Three color drink (beans, jelly and coconut oil - my favorite and I'd try any place that offers this, usually indicates it's authenticity to its Vietnamese root. Not many places offer this and it was done true to its form, not too sweet and salty. I'd definitely return to this place again. The owner is friendly, professional and the restaurant is kept very clean. Everything is on display, organized and smells like someone has been cleaning every minute dusts off, where the counter tops glistens) as he prepares what you need (bowls, utensils etc.) The cleanliness is superb and is approved from someone with a cleaning OCD. What a great local spot for authentic Vietnamese food. It is inside of what use to be a iHop or village inn type building. They have updated and renovated nicely. They even have outdoor seating that is screened in. Inside they have booths on the sides and tables in the middle. Bright, fresh and clean. Ordering was simple with their menu. Plenty of photos and numbers. Food came out amazingly fast well. Order pork and shrimp spring rolls. They were just the way they should be and came served with a nice peanut dipping sauce. Order the Pho with meatballs and rare beef. It was a nice portion accompanied by a plate of fresh veggies and herbs. The broth has a cinnamon base with with something else maybe cardamom. It is not overwhelming just a nice base and flavor that isn't masked. The noodles were fresh, they were a little softer than I'd like but I believe cause they were not dried out noodles. It's pretty embarrassing to say, but this is the first Vietnamese restaurant that I was disappointed in. Everything was cooked very wrong. What drew me into this place was that their menu had dishes that are unlike other Vietnamese places. We've been to many Vietnamese places all over the country and to Vietnam as my bf is Vietnamese. We love supporting small businesses and checking out different Vietnamese restaurants. We moved from California and it's been hard finding Vietnamese places with these kind of dishes in Florida. We ordered our usual favorites: Snail soup: snails were 3 minutes overcooked. Which made it rubbery. But it was still enjoyable. The broth was good. Duck soup: The duck they used must have been very fresh but not cleaned well maybe. I'm very used to eating gamey flavored dishes, but there was something off with the flavor. Very disappointed in this dish. Bo kho: The meat was very hard. When my bowl came, there was not much soup. I watched the noodles soak up the rest of the broth as I continued eating. Overall it was disappointing. I hope they can up their standards because I really do like their menu. Maybe I came on an off day. I'd like to return. read more

Ive frequented this place many times prior but this visit was by far the worst experience. When we walked in there was an old man and a spanish/Mexican lady working there. The older man sat us but left everything up to this poor lady (as he spoke little to no english) to take our order, make the food, deliver the food to the table and cash us out. After flagging her down to take our order, she immediately interrupted the process saying to give her 2 minutes to package up the take out order for a customer. We sat there for about 7 more minutes as this poor lady who was running the whole place was attending to the take out order while ignoring phone calls due to the excessive work load. After she came back to take our order, we jokingly asked her how the owners left her to be a one man show for the whole restaurant and she laughed it off telling us that the owner had left the restaurant. WOW! We own a restaurant too so I can't imagine what the owner was thinking just leaving everything up to this one lady which took away from the whole experience, having to patiently wait just to have our orders taken. When the pho arrived, the soup was luke warm, a problem which they've had since they first opened and still persisted. I had to ask her to microwave it for me which is strange request for a pho restaurant to ask for hot soup? All in all, I think this was my last straw with this place. Only reason why I gave it another chance was because pho gia vi next door was closed on Thursdays. read more

One of the best rice plates I've had in a long time. The dish I got was Com Suon Dac Biet. It came with grilled pork chops, meatloaf, a few shrimps, shredded pork with a sunny side up egg. The pork chops were amazing! Very chill atmosphere and very clean. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating . Well worth the try! On another note, I was told the Bun Bo Hue was really good at this location so I had to try it. No no, I didn't eat both my rice plate and a bowl of BBH haha. I asked the waiter how much is it just for a small bowl of the BBH broth and pig's feet. He said $3. I was super happy haha and it was amazing! Very flavorful and a little kick. After getting off the airplane the first thing we craved was some sort of Vietnamese snails. This was the closest restaurant to FLL airport so we decided to make a pit stop here before driving to Miami. At first glance, the restaurant was pretty empty so it was questionable but beggars can't be chooser since MN doesn't have any restaurants like this. They have quite a variety on their menu from snails (what we were looking for) to your typical noodles soups, family style entrees, and hotpot! Wish we could get everything but there were only 3 adults and 1 kid so we had to tone it down. Seafood appetizers: they were all good with great flavors. I would have to say the scallops in the onions/butter/peanut sauce was my favorite! It was so good and rich in flavor! The snails was ok since I'm not a fan of lemongrass. The clams had the same sauce as the scallops but it was chewier so it was ok. 4/5 Bo Kho: it had a good amount of meat in there. You can choose between bread or noodles for this. Bread is the way to go honestly. The broth was good. Tasted like your typical bo kho. 4/5 Bun Dau Mam tom: the sauce the came with the dish was a little more rich and smelly. It did come with another sauce on the side that was mixed with other ingredients that my tastebuds liked a little more. Tofu was crispy and meat was great. It comes with rice paper to wrap it up like a spring roll or you can eat it plain in sauce. Try both to see what you like. 4.5/5 Bo la lot: one of my fave dishes from Vietnam. Tastes like the typical bo la lot but you can't find it a lot of viet places. You can wrap this like a sprig roll or also eat it by itself. Definitely a must get if you've never tried. 5/5 The drinks were good as well. The bi dao(darker drink) was really refreshing actually. It is a typical drink to make you feel more refreshing. 4/5 Definitely a will visit again restaurant if I'm ever in town again. Will have to try new dishes and also some old ones lol. It's not bad, but there are plenty of other great options. I tried this place around the time it first opened and haven't really been back until today. Everyone got a bowl of pho and I wasn't a fan of the broth. The baby, who usually has no problem finishing half a bowl to himself barely touched it and went after my food. I got the Banh hoi with the grilled beef wrapped in leaf. Not sure which type of leaf it was wrapped in but it was pretty good. The scallops in butter was the standout. The green coconut sauce they serve it with was delicious. We literally were drinking it. All in all, it wasn't bad but with better options nearby, not sure if we will be back anytime soon. read more

Great restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food. The Veggie Pho was delicious -- large portion, flavorful broth, and lots of tofu. The Lemongrass Clams were great as well -- light and flavorful, and a generous portion of clams. The Shrimp Spring Rolls were huge (about double the size of most places). I was not a fan of the Shrimp Salt Pepper BBQ -- the shrimp are fried with the shell and head still on so they are difficult to eat. The Vietnamese Turmeric Rice Noodle was okay -- large portion, but the chicken was very dry. This restaurant is definitely one of the best for Vietnamese food in the area. read more

"Vo An" ... I'm not that very good at Vietnamese but I'm about 99%% sure that it means "go in and eat" haha. It's what my mama used to always tell me to do when I was a kid when I would be so occupied playing outside lol. Anywaysss, this place is legit. Blessed to have it's own building and a spacious parking area, this place has it good. You might be shook when you walk inside thinking it was going to be more roomy but they also have outdoor seating. However, I'm not sure how they would accommodate larger parties without splitting up. On our visit we ordered the pho dac biet, bun bo hue, and bun rieu. They only have two sizes large and XL. Some of the options only come in one size. I got to say that all the broths I listed above were impactful. Very well flavored. I might've underestimated the XL portion too. They give you ALOT. I usually finish the large at other pho places no problem but I struggled here. I also like the silver theme for their cups and bowls. Very unique. For an app we had the spring rolls without pork. Very fresh tasting and came with a delicious peanut sauce for dipping. Our server recommended #31 Pho DAE Biet with Raw beef. Being not very versed in Pho I still found this to be very appetizing. The beef was thinly sliced and perfected cooked by the broth. Served in a stainless steel bowl, it stayed the perfect temperature during consumption :) . It was such a large portion there was no way I could finish the entire bowl. We came here for lunch. I'd been watching their signs out front when we'd drive by as they were being built and was waiting for them to open. After seeing a couple reviews posted, I figured it was time to come. Well, they'd only been open for five days! And they were still testing out parts of the menu. They let us know what they had that day. Seems each day they add on a dish or two for the kitchen to perfect. They gave us some shrimp puffs to munch on while we decided what to order. They disappeared fast. We started with a summer roll and requested shrimp only. The roll was exactly as it should be. I really liked their version of the peanut dipping sauce. For my main dish I had their Lok Lak beef. This is sometimes called "shaking beef" (said one of the servers). It was on their appetizer section on the menu, but was big enough to be an entree along with some white rice. Id never had this before. It was marinated cubes of sautéed beef served with sautéed onions and a few red pepper pieces served over greens. The meat was very tasty and tender. I loved it. My husband had their roast pork bun thit. It was #38 on the menu list. Thinly sliced pieces of pork along with a mini fried roll on top of fresh veggies and noodles. They give you the traditional light vinegary sauce to pour over it all. It took awhile to get his dish (mine came out first) for which they apologized. He said it was worth the wait. Service was eager and friendly. So what we had, we thoroughly enjoyed. They also had a couple pho choices, fried rice, special rice, a fried roll, etc. However, We look forward to an even bigger number of menu choices as time goes on. read more

Had a nice outdoor patio area to eat during COVID. Service was fast and they were nice. But I ordered the pork chop rice and it was not good. They put some sort of sauce on the pork chop (which they typically don't do at vientmaese restaurants) and the pork was dry with no real grilled flavor. Didn't enjoy the egg square piece it also usually came with because it was too dry. Overall, I wouldn't go back for the pork chop dish. My dad got the bun Bo hue and he said it's decent but they tend to just go here because of the space rather than the food. The Vietnamese place right next door is better in terms of quality of food but the space is just really small and makes folks more uncomfortable because of COVID. read more

The food here is fresh hot and light. The pork chop rice platter is my absolute favorite. Most places I've been to will over cook the meat until it is dried out. But somehow they figured out a way to keep the meat tender and moist. The marinade they use with the pork chop isn't as sweet as other places. Which makes it even better for me! I feel like the sweetness of some marinades is over powering. But this place makes one of the best pork chops I've ever had. They really know how to flavor it. The oxtail noodle soup was a hit with my family. They all enjoyed it alot. And the bun bo hue was really tasty as well. The shrimp rolls are simple and pairs well with the sweet and sour sauce they offer with it. I was really surprised to see that they have balut here as well. And for those of you that don't know what that is, it's a baby duck egg. And before you start saying things like gross and how evil. Just don't. It's not your place to culturally judge someone elses food. If you don't like it dont eat it. I'm just passing this information along to those who are interested in trying it. There isn't much customer when we dine there and I have no problem of people speaking their own language, but they were joking and complaining about customer in Vietnamese quite loud and my wife happen to understand and she felt very embarrassing and annoyed. Other thing is when my wife order the my quang, the food came out extremely dry and when she ask for extra soup they just said they don't have any ... i don't believe we happen to buy the last bowl that day they just don't care about what customer think.
