It was sweet, refreshing, and tasted just like summer in a cup. I honestly never have anything negative to say about Yafa Golden Coffee. Their seasonal menus never disappoint, and I find myself looking forward to each new release. The service is consistently 10/10, with a team that always makes you feel welcome, and the spacious atmosphere offers plenty of seating whether you're meeting friends, working remotely, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. I always get the Adani tea because it tastes like a warm hug in a cup. Today I tried the banana Carmel cold foam iced latte! It was perfect!!! Especially for someone who does not like bananas it was the right amount of banana flavor and caffeine! So many beautiful pastries but if you ever see the honeycomb cake make sure to grab it! Its creamy layers merged with honeycomb sheets are something you have to experience to fully appreciate its flavor! The cafe and staff are always friendly and helpful! I was not overly impressed by the drinks, especially given the hefty price tag. My latte tasted almost exclusively of milk and there was very little coffee taste. The matcha was good, but there were some chunks in it. While we were waiting for our drinks, one of the baristas spilt a drink on the counter. I was very impressed with how the workers handled the situation. They made light of the situation and were able to joke about it. I really appreciate seeing situations handled well.

I went there for their henna event for Eid, where you can purchase a coffee or pastry to get a henna tattoo on your hand. I enjoyed my latte AND the henna done by the artist Noor. It is very interesting to learn about the ways they celebrate Eid, one of which is henna. Thanks for doing a fun and meaningful event like this, I cannot wait to go back for the great coffee.

The interior as we walked in was strikingly pleasant. It had a nice airy, spacious feeling and was well-appointed with agreeable coloring and decor. It offered a nice place to enjoy food and drink while chatting, working, reading or simply relaxing. The menu was interesting as it was mostly coffee creations, teas, pastries/baked goods and a few specialty cold drinks. But many of the offerings were very intriguing. There were four of us. My son-in-law tried the Mocha and thought it was nicely done. My wife and daughter each had an iced Butter Cookie Latte. I had a taste and was favorably impressed. I had a Jubani Coffee, which is a medium light roast coffee and coffee husks with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. It was a burst of flavor and provided quite an enjoyable change of pace. The younger ones had two varieties of bagel bites, Classic Jalapeño and Olive. My wife and I split a Butter Cookie Kunafa, which was served in a generous portion and was wonderfully textured with terrific taste. Our bill was $59 including food, drink, tax and tip. Given the fare and the overall experience, I thought this was OK as a treat. I saw that this place is part of a chain of 30 shops that is based in Dearborn, MI. This is not far from our home in SE Michigan, so we will look for an opportunity to find another shop near us.

We arrived and I was immediately impressed, visually, by the beautiful atmosphere that they've curated. Through the glass garage door storefront, you are greeted by interesting light fixtures, eye- catching red chairs, large booths, rotating digital images of the delectable chocolate offerings, and flowing fountains of white, milk and dark chocolate. We entered and the smell of sweet confections filled the air. I left my husband at the counter to order and grabbed a table for us in the corner nearest to the garage door. We later discussed how, during the Summer, it will be so nice if/when they open that door up to the outside air. You order at the counter, and then they bring it out to your table. My husband returned with a big glass bottle of cold water (and some of the flimsiest plastic cups that I've ever held). The water was a nice, and necessary, touch. The dishes are rich! They are rich in the best way possible, though. The event provided a complimentary crepe with your choice of fruit, and a cookie skillet with ice cream. My husband couldn't decide on which fruit(s) to get, so the employee just told him that they'd hook it up for us. The crepe came out, and it was so beautiful...it was almost too pretty to eat! They provided us with an array of fruit to accompany it; bananas, strawberries, pineapples, and kiwi. The addition of the fruit really helped to cut through the richness of the chocolate. The crepe was the perfect, delicate vehicle for all of it! I probably ate about a 1/3 of it, and tried so save room for the cookie. I'm not a real "sweets" eater, but everything here just looks so good! The cookie skillet came out warm, gooey, and with its own generous drizzling of chocolate under a scoop of ice cream (& whipped cream if my memory serves me correctly). The cookie by itself was really delicious. In the future, I will omit the addition of chocolate sauce. It really didn't need it. I look forward to another fun dessert date with my hubby at this really SWEET lounge! P.S. All of the portion sizes that I saw were shareable. The menu is extensive so there are a lot of options, one might even say, too many options. Since we visited around 8:45 pm there was no line and we had a lot of time to ask about their offerings. The person working the register was kind and handled our questions with ease. We sat at a table with our number stand and then we were served. It wasn't that our desserts were bad they just were a lot for two people. Talk about sugar rush!! What we did end up eating was tasty and seemed very fresh. I love this concept and hope more people venture out to check it out. The vibe is very chill and there a chairs and tables plus couches if you want a different experience. Be warned you will be filled to the brim with chocolate but who says that's a bad thing.

The coffee is great, the vibe is fantastic, and the outdoor seating is especially gorgeous when the weather is nice. It is an easy place to enjoy whether I am working for a while or meeting friends to hang out, and that flexibility is a big part of the appeal. Carmel is better for having spots like this. Staff are always chill as well, maybe not the most chatty, but it's almost always busy - they're working hard!
